LETTER FROM
Nicole Editor
Welcome to our hustle edition! With the festivities of the new year behind us, the kids back at school, and routine well and truly kicked in, there’s no better time to make things happen. Now, when most people think about the word ‘hustle’, they’re thinking long days, late nights, and an entrepreneurial end-goal. But when we talk about hustle, we’re talking about the hustle for life. The setting of goals, no matter what they might be. Big, small, or somewhere in between. And that may well be grinding it out to launch your dream business, or grow your side-hustle into a full-time gig. If that’s your hustle, more power to you! But maybe your goals are a little smaller, a little simpler. And that’s okay too. Maybe it’s reaching a health and fitness goal you’ve been putting off for way too long. Maybe it’s taking up a new hobby, embracing a passion, or studying. Or, maybe it’s simply finding more time to do less. Now that is a goal worth working towards. When was the last time you watched a sunrise? Curled up with a book and a cuppa? When was the last time you enjoyed a phone call without prefacing the conversation with a time limit? Or took a walk with your children (without your phone), allowing them to stop and collect leaves along the way? In the age of social media, where our successes are splashed over every platform, and our failures kept hidden, the FOMO is real. Have I got enough money, enough friends, enough clothes? The right clothes, the right friends? And if I’m not running my own business and killing it, I’ll kill myself trying! In the meantime, your parents are getting older. Your siblings are creating your nieces and nephews. Your books are unread. Your soul unnourished. If you’re hustle isn’t making you happy, perhaps it’s time to shake things up a bit (check out page 28 to learn how to switch careers at any age). So, whatever your goals for 2021 – big, small, fast, slow – there’s no better time to start, than now. After all, if nothing changes, nothing changes.

Above The Rest Standing out with style in a ‘boy’s club’ industry, Gold Coast local and commercial real estate agent Sandra Carder speaks to Get It Magazine about integrity, challenging yourself, and being passionate about your career. How did you know real estate was the career for you? I had multiple sales jobs after I finished university, and my uncle encouraged me to get into commercial real estate. I started working for King and Co in Brisbane in 2002 - I loved it and have never looked back. In an industry that can be male-dominated, what defines your brand? The ‘boys club’ is very much alive and well in the commercial sector, and I have learnt to navigate this for the past 20 years. I worked out very early in my career that providing excellent service, being honest and reliable - and operating with complete integrity meant that clients took me seriously and the boy’s club didn’t matter.
love my work and get accused of being a workaholic, but I am getting better at finding an acceptable balance.
with existing clients or referrals - I believe it’s better to walk away from a bad sale than burn a client for the sake of the deal.
What does the Gold Coast mean to you?
facebook.com/sandracarderagent
There is just so much happening here from a development perspective that it is an absolute gold mine. Personally, the Gold Coast provides my family with an amazing lifestyle. What’s next on the horizon for your business? My plan is to branch out into industrial property development within the next 2 - 5 years - I love what I do, but I am definitely keen to throw on the developer’s hat as well in the near future. What personality traits have given you the edge to succeed in what you do? I am hard working, honest, tenacious, and place a high value on long-term relationships with my clients. Most of my work is either
What does a day in your life look like? I’m always up early and kick off the day with a 10-minute meditation. I try to get all of my emails, law study and social media posts done first thing, and then I hit the gym. I block out the afternoons for my lunch meetings, inspections and catch ups with clients. Do you have a quote that has served you well? ‘The harder you fall, the higher you bounce’ – Dr Zeus. It’s funny and so true - commercial real estate is a rollercoaster and you have to learn to enjoy the ride. What professional challenge are you most proud of overcoming? Kicking the guilt about wanting to have it all and maintaining a work/life balance. I GET IT March 2021

GET IT I GET THINKING
Own Goal — by Krysten Davis —
S
o, the century has come of age- 2021- this year can now drink in the US of A (not that we are allowed to visit).
Everyone. Everyday.
As the century comes of age, I think I’m going to go big with my goal setting! I am going to do the following:
Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the Clubs peaceful surroundings and exceptional service.
I will only eat organic veggies, I am going to rise at dawn for an hour of yoga (with Adrian), followed by drinking a glass of boiled Evian with a dash of lemon. I will then fast until lunch when I eat my organic salad of raddicchio leaves, with steamed organic chicken.
Dining Beauty
I will drink one glass of organic white wine per night. I will get eight hours of sleep. I will replace my filthy caffeine habit with a green juice (extra kale please), and I will renounce all chocolate and embrace the deliciousness that is carob.
Champions Hair Beauty and Day Spa: 5 Beauty therapy rooms 14 Hair styling stations 3 Nail stations Spray tanning Vichy shower
I WILL exercise every day, making sure that I achieve 12000 steps, as well as 30 minutes per day of pelvic floor exercises. I will paste inspiring sentences (‘you are a strong and capable woman who deserves love, flowers and organic wine’) on the bathroom mirror, and I WILL recite these every day because what I can conceive and believe, I can achieve!!! (So far, I’ve conceived two children and a caffeine habit.)
With its 5-Star facilities and consistent rankings as one of Australia’s top ten resort courses, Links Hope Island Golf Course is the ultimate destination for corporate and social golf.
Moving on!! I will always put my shopping trolley back into the trolley bay, I will get up and wee after sex EVERY TIME, and I will remember the names of the people that I have at this point found too boring to commit to memory.
Golf
I WILL stop in the shopping centre and engage the (amazingly annoying) people, who just want to ‘ask me a question’ and I WILL buy their crap/ticket/calendar.
Have your next big event with Links Hope Island! Our conference and event rooms provide an elegant yet functional setting for functions of all kinds and sizes.
Goal setting is awesome! I feel more righteous and sanctimonious already!

Work, Play & Finding Joy with Jesselou Windle Holly Bartter sits down with Jesselou Windle, founder of lifestyle brand Louie Lux, to talk creativity, positivity, and her blooming business. The road to a thriving business isn’t always straightforward, but Jesselou was called to her path with a clear sense of direction. The secret Instagram account that started it all in 2014 was entitled ‘Finding Louie’, a space for Jesselou to share her own inspiring messages and art, but it soon grew into something so much more than social media. “Within weeks of posting I had garnered a healthy following and had requests to order my work,” Jesselou shares. “It beckoned me to create a website where I could sell my pieces all over the world. Louie is my middle name and nickname...I was desperate to find that Louie who loved art, and the brand Louie Luxe was born that year.”
“There are 6 working mums at HQ now, and we are all guided by connection, art, feeling, and purpose. “At the beginning, I thought it was more about the lettering,” Jesselou reflects, “but I soon realised it was more about the words and the feelings they conjured up. We love giving customers the chance to express the feelings that are sometimes hard to find.” Dividing her time between work and family presents its own unique set of challenges. “Amongst the glamorised ‘hustle’ and ‘grind’, there are plenty of tears and guilt. Mum guilt, friend guilt, customer guilt... The key is to learn, and keep moving forward.” A positive mindset allows Jesselou to overcome anything life throws at her. “I was once told I was annoyingly positive - sometimes that’s what it takes in a world where it’s easy to be down. I take pride in creating a life where I wake up genuinely
excited each morning. I proactively take steps every day to ensure I am giving myself the opportunity to grow and love life to the fullest.” For many women, Jesselou’s journey speaks volumes, and she shares her advice for anyone looking to follow their dreams: “Your desire to connect with your true purpose should be a priority. The world needs more humans living in alignment with their purpose. Don’t be scared, and enjoy the ride!” So, what’s next for Jesselou? “I look forward to releasing a number of books I have been working on behind the scenes - good things take time. For now, it is all about continuing to plant our feet, staying true on our quest for connection, and providing a paradise of meaningful gifts for those who come along for the ride.”

Offering prints of poetry, letter art, apparel, and even tattoo design, Louie Lux has grown a strong client base that resonates with the message of “celebrating life, love, family, food, and home.” Jesselou balances her role as a founder with being a mother to two boys, Jayce and Rafferty, and finds inspiration in demonstrating what’s achievable when you live in alignment. “My love for my children drives me every day,” she explains, “I want to lead by example for them, and let the hard work and commitment to my craft show them that anything is possible.” Developing Louie Lux into a full-time business has meant Jesselou has expanded her team. 15

Working from Home? Make it Work for You. With flexible work structures, online businesses, and the onset of a global pandemic, more of us are working from home than ever before. Joshua Zerkel, Head of Global Engagement Marketing at leading organisational app Asana, shares his advice for staying productive and keeping your cool while you hustle from home. While many of us have worked from home at some point in our career, 2020 brought a new dynamic to our work/life balance. Joshua Zerkel believes that remote work is here to stay, highlighting his top four tips for a winning at-home work routine:
interrupting your workflow, keep track of personal tasks and allocate time when you’ll focus on them. If you live with a partner, you can also ask for their support if they spot you making grocery lists or getting off-track.
2. Help each other balance priorities According to research conducted by the Asana team, about 89 per cent of people across Australia and New Zealand worked late in 2020. For couples and families, time management is critical to the success of WFH. At the end of each day, take 10 minutes to review your partner’s upcoming schedules and coordinate who is working from where, and who can pick up some of the ‘life slack’.
1. Avoid the rabbit hole of distraction
3. Schedule ‘me-time’ and ‘togethertime’
It’s easy to be drawn in by day-to-day matters when you’re on the clock, but this can lead to a day of distractions. Instead of

solo time is important to recharge your batteries. For couples, plan some relaxed time together as well, and check in with one another – just make sure it’s more than just a two-minute chat between Zoom calls.
4. Stop living at work Although it’s easy to pull up your emails at all hours, it’s critical to be able to separate work and home, especially on weekends. Build a weekend prep ritual where you ‘close the door’ on your work for the week - this may mean shutting down your laptops and putting away all work-related documents so you can turn off the work part of your brain and recharge. When done the right way, working from home can free up hours of commuting, give us more quality time with our families, and allow for greater schedule flexibility, so make the most of your new normal and make 2021 the year when you win at working from home.

expands her brand, launching Cabana Kids at Sanctuary Cove. Coast Businesswoman Liliana Rogers, has achieved well deserved success with the opening of her new retail outlet Cabana Kids at Sanctuary Cove.
“And importantly to ensure that quality and predominately natural/ organic products were now affordable to most.” Cabana Kids offers a diverse range of high-quality products, including those for pregnancy self-care, natural fibre organic babies’ and children’s clothing, bedding, décor, furniture, wooden toys, as well as a variety of unique gifts.
Expanding her unique boutique retail experience, this affordable haven complements her existing lifestyle boutique, Cabana, also located in the Marine Village at Sanctuary Cove.
But Cabana Kids goes beyond retail, with plans to host a range of interactive events within the purpose built hub.
Ms Roger’s aim is to fill the gap in the market by providing the highest quality, predominately natural and organic products, at affordable prices.
As well as an upcoming Easter experience, the Cabana Kids hub will include a children’s book author visit, and opportunities to listen to pregnancy and parenting specialists.
“I wanted to push back against the mass retailing fallout where customers felt they were merely a cog in a large profit churning machine,” she says.
Cabana Kids is located just down from the flagship store, Cabana, on Masthead Way, The Marine Village, Sanctuary Cove. Open 7 days.

THE NEW
Australian Dream The seismic shift in lifestyle created by COVID-19 and lockdowns has reshaped how Australians are choosing to build and renovate their homes. From an increased focus on hygiene, to rallying against shrinking block sizes, the story of Australian architecture has taken a new turn.
With industry data showing that 44 per cent of home buyers have changed their preferences for their properties, James Hardie’s experts talk to Get it about some of the trends influencing the homes of 2021. Lifestyle matters
that separate bedrooms and home offices with a central living-dining area work well,” says Architect, Joe Snell. Moving for size
Working from home has reduced the need to be tied to a physical location, opening up new property opportunities. “According to our research, Gen Y is considering moving to the suburbs for detached home ownership. However, they would still consider apartment living near their family, if it had sufficient room,” says Ms Simpson. “On the other end of the spectrum, downsizers are looking to escape the city for a smaller beachside location.”
“At the beginning of 2020 we were seeing increased interest in more sustainable ‘micro-homes’ and an acceptance of shrinking block sizes in metro areas. However, in less than a year, our homes took on new roles from offices, gyms and other locations that we would normally go outside to visit,” says Helen Simpson, Insights Manager at James Hardie.
Rising Renos: Bedroom, Bathroom and Beyond
“Today, homeowners, especially working couples buying their first property, are looking for more separate spaces such as home offices, while maintaining the scale of open plan living.
The ability to capture the holiday feeling in outdoor spaces has also become increasingly important, adds Principle of Hamptons building company, Indah Island, Natalee Bowen.
“With families spending more time sharing the same space, there is also a greater need for areas of connection as a family and separate retreats for privacy. Floor plans GET IT March 2021
“Home isolation has provided owners with time to reflect on potential improvements to their properties, with leading industry bodies expecting a growth in renovations such as kitchen and bathroom updates,” says Ms Simpson.
“The idea of creating a sanctuary at home is not new, but it has certainly become a driving force in 2021. 20
“This emphasis on blending interiors and exteriors is driving the trend for continuity in colour palettes, materials and textures between spaces.” To find out more about how to build or renovate your own dream home, from inspiration on the latest look to advice on modern materials, visit jameshardie.com.au.
Top Tips
on getting ready for Storage If you’re looking to free up some space in your home – temporarily or forever - self-storage is the perfect solution. But it’s not as simple as it sounds. Check out the tips below to tackle your storage like a pro. Preparing for storage and removal? •
Get rid of anything that you don’t think you will need rather than storing and transporting it.
•
Make a list of the supplies you’ll need.
•
Move out clothes and personnel items that you will not be sending into storage. Put them all in a separate room and shut the door. Tell the movers what is to go and stay.
•
Write an inventory list of the major items, and groups of smaller items that you are packing, this is also required if you take insurance.
•
Pack as many things into boxes as possible before your storage unit arrives to streamline the process.
Choosing a unit: Choose a reliable storage company. When you store items, you’re placing trust in a third party to take care of your belongings. It’s important that you choose a company with a proven track record of reliability. Packing a unit: Do label your boxes. But don’t store anything super valuable. And don’t leave items unprotected. Take the time to properly pack and wrap all fragile and small items. Furniture should be covered with blankets or moving pads (not plastic, which can trap moisture, resulting in mildew and mould), and anything small should be boxed up. How to Pack Clothes for Storage 1.
Wash All Clothes Before Packing.
2.
Only Vacuum Seal for Short Term Storage.
3.
Place Clothes in Plastic Containers with Clip-on Lids.
Appliances: Thoroughly clean and dry all white goods heading leaving all doors slightly ajar. Storing books: Make sure any books you want to put into storage are fully dry. Spread on a table in a room that gets plenty of sunlight for several days before packing them for storage. What not to store •
Flammable or hazardous goods
•
Toxic, polluted or contaminated goods
•
Expandable plastics (e.g. foam mattresses)
•

How to tell if your child is really
learning to swim Most parents are willing to invest in teaching their children to swim, happily sending them off to lessons week after week. But how do they know they have done everything possible to ensure their children’s swimming progression is on track?
In other words, if babies and young children are not actively taught swimming and drowning prevention skills, they will never be able to hold have them.
The importance of making your child water aware with strong swimming skills is crucial for any swimming program, along with successful swimming and drowning prevention progression.
To determine whether your child is progressing at the right rate, there are a few key milestones to look out for.
Swimming skills are a completely ‘learnt’ skill.

Shish-ka Boom Kebob Prep: 45 mins Cooking time: 15 mins Serves: 6
Ingredients
Method
1 teaspoon sriracha
Make Kabobs Combine sriracha, oil, smoked paprika and pepper in a large bowl. Halve any larger mushroom so they are roughly the same size. Add mushrooms to sriracha mixture. Gently toss to coat. Using 2 skewers at a time, skewer mushrooms (see note). Heat a large frying pan or barbecue grill on high. Reduce heat to medium. Char-grill mushrooms for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally or until lightly charred and tender.
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 2 teaspoons smoked paprika 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper 400g brown and white mushrooms; or 400g white flat mushrooms 1 small red onion, very thinly sliced Lebanese flat bread (quartered), to serve Tabbouleh 1/4 cup bulgur (cracked wheat) 1 1/2 cups finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley 1 cup finely chopped fresh mint 250g packet cocktail truss tomatoes, diced 2 green onions, finely chopped 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice (optional) Garlic Yoghurt Sauce ½ cup plain Greek-style yoghurt 2 teaspoons lemon juice
Make Tabbouleh Place bulgur in a heatproof bowl. Add enough boiling water to cover, then set aside for 10 minutes. Drain in a sieve, pressing down with the back of a spoon to drain excess moisture. Set aside to cool. Combine with remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Make Garlic Yoghurt Sauce Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Assemble To assemble, spoon some tabbouleh onto flat bread. Top with mushroom and red onion. Serve drizzled with yoghurt sauce. Cook’s notes Using 2 skewers instead of 1 makes it easier to turn the mushrooms on the barbecue and they are less likely to fall off. If using wooden skewers, you’ll need to soak them in water for 10 minutes to avoid scorching. You can also buy ready-made tabbouleh if you run out of time. To level up the heat in the kabob, increase sriracha to 1 tablespoon. For hotter still, use1/3 of a cup of sriracha instead. For the hottest of the hot, sprinkle 5 finely chopped Birdseye chillies and 2 teaspoons of dried chilli flakes onto the cooked kabob.

Embracing CAREER change at
Any Age
Gone are the days of the ‘job for life’ and a corner office - we’re all likely to wear multiple career hats throughout our lifetime and develop more than one skill set. Raphael Bender, CEO of leading Pilates training company Breathe Education, talks with Get It Magazine about moving into the wellness industry at any stage of your life.
industry is healthy for your body and mind, and you get to help others in a meaningful way.
Why might someone want a career change later in life? Many people transition to teaching Pilates because they find their career unfulfilling. For others, it is often a second career after retirement. For quite a few, when the kids leave home it’s time to finally do something for themselves.
One woman chose to change careers when she lost her job due to COVID - she is now teaching online from home and has never been happier. We even have a retired accountant who started his wellness career in his seventies! He has also now qualified, and at 80 years old holds a weekly Pilates class for a student class of all ages and abilities.
Is it ever too late to change careers?
Does Pilates training work as a side hustle?
Never - our oldest student enrolled at 78 and started teaching Pilates at 79. If you think you’re too old, you’re wrong. There is no upper age limit, there is plenty of work teaching clients of all ages, and for instructors of all ages.
Absolutely! The majority of our graduates start out with Pilates as their side hustle. Many choose to continue in their corporate jobs and teach Pilates around the edges. Some people find over time that they are even comfortable enough to leave the corporate world behind.
What does a career in the wellness industry offer? Flexible hours are a great attraction for many people, plus you get to spend your time helping people improve their health and happiness. Working in the wellness GET IT March 2021
Do you need to have a background in health and wellness to get started? A good Pilates course will teach you everything you need to know, so you don’t need any prior skills, but I recommend attending regular Pilates for at least a couple of months before you commit to becoming an instructor. What are some memorable student case studies?
What’s your best advice to get started? Don’t listen to the self-critic telling you you’re too old, the wrong shape or not fit enough - none of these concerns are 28
important, nor are they true. You don’t need to be perfect at all the moves, or really lean, or graceful. You only need to love Pilates and want to help people who need it, so do your research and if you love it, go for it! ABOUT RAPHAEL: Raphael Bender has a Masters degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation), a Bachelor degree in Exercise and Sports Science, a Diploma of Pilates Movement Therapy and STOTT PILATES full certification.

Realistic goals
LEAD TO REAL CHANGE
With the New Year having just began, I thought it was a good time to talk about resolutions and goal setting. Often when we set goals, we base them around where we want to be in the future, and what we want to achieve long term, but don’t give a lot of thought to the actual process of how to get there. New year goals I often see are along the lines of ‘I’m going to lose 10kg this year’, or ‘I’ll run a half marathon’. This type of goal is what I call an outcome based goal. I want to teach you today about a different sort of goal: Behaviour goals. A behaviour (or action) goal is a goal that can lead to, and support your outcome based goal. For example, ‘exercise for 30 minutes every day’, or ‘include vegetables in three out of four meals each day’ would both be behaviours, or actions, that would support the outcome based goal of losing weight. By setting up your goals to be based on smaller daily improvements, you set yourself up to be more motivated, and are more likely to stick to the plan you’ve set in place to
achieve your larger outcome based goal. I think of this process as a bit like cleaning a house for the first time in ages. No one wants to clean a whole house in one go and it can seem daunting to start with. But if you start with something small like taking the bins out, and then move to wiping the dust off the skirting boards, you build momentum as you start to see a result from your actions. Those actions or behaviours you take lead to a result, and as you see a result you become more motivated, and because you’re more motivated you take more and more actions. Then before you know it the house is clean! This same process applies for almost any goal. Actions bring results, results bring motivation, and motivation brings the desire to take more action. My recommendation is to grab your diary, and for the next 12 weeks write down what behaviours or actions you need to take to achieve your outcome goal, and every day check off the ones you have done. The more often you complete those 29
behaviours, then the closer you are to achieving your outcome goal.
ACTIONS BRING RESULTS, RESULTS BRING MOTIVATION, AND MOTIVATION BRINGS THE DESIRE TO TAKE MORE ACTION.

Love and Money
protecting your finances. It is not uncommon for people in a relationship to want to keep their finances separate and protected against an adverse family law entitlement. Especially when a party has been previously separated, and has children for whom they wish to ensure financial security. As the proverb goes ‘Once bitten twice shy.’
For financial agreements to be binding they must comply with the requirements as set out in the legislation, including that both parties must have independent legal advice. That advice must cover the effect of the agreement on the parties’ rights, and the advantages and disadvantages of entering into the agreement.
So, is it possible to separate love and money?
It is therefore not uncommon for parties who are contemplating cohabitation or marriage or even acquiring a property together, to consider entering into a financial agreement. This can ensure that the relationship is based upon natural love and affection, without financial motivations.
Financial Agreements were introduced into the Family Law Act in 2000, enabling parties to enter an agreement either before marriage, during a marriage or after divorce. In 2009, this was broadened to enable agreements between parties in future, current and ex- de facto relationships.
There is no better time to agree on what should happen in the event of a separation, than when parties are amicable and able to agree on what they consider to be fair. It also ensures that everyone is on the same page as to what the agreement and understanding is in the event of a

relationship breakdown. It is highly recommended to seek advice early, to avoid any pressure on either party. Sometimes one party is in the stronger financial position than the other and can exert financial dominance. This should be avoided, and the terms of the agreement should be negotiated to ensure a fair outcome. At Richardson Murray, our team of experienced lawyers practice exclusively in family law. Our team consists of forwardthinking legal counsel who see around corners to foresee future legal challenges. As many parents know, it’s difficult, almost impossible, to find a holiday which delivers on all counts: great weather, sumptuous food, amazing adventures to suit all ages, and some down time for Mum and Dad.
headed to picture-perfect Pelican Island, where the Sea Explorer’s Ranger Tess led an informative talk about the wildlife and the tiny island’s inhabitants – it’s captivating for the grownups and kids.
Just a few hours’ drive from the Gold Coast, a visit to the Sunshine Coast region offers all this, and more.
The following day we were on our own and hired a 4WD to discover the rusting but hauntingly beautiful skeleton frame of the S.S. Maheno on 75 Mile Beach.
Our journey north began with a two-day stay at Tin Can Bay – around three hours’ drive from the Gold Coast. A tiny town that’s huge on charm, it’s a perfect pit stop for an up-close and personal encounter with wild dolphins. Head to Barnacle Dolphins at Norman Point early in the morning where, for $10 a head, you’ll have the unforgettable opportunity to handfeed the visiting wild dolphins. Top tip: the queue fills up fast, and with just 60 places available, you need to get there earlier than the recommended 7am time. The next afternoon we headed to Rainbow Beach to Epic Ocean Adventures. Their friendly, knowledgeable staff take small groups of people surfing or kayaking around Double Island Point to spot the abundance of sea life. A thrilling 4WD drive along the Great Beach Drive at low tide led us to our paddling-out point. Next stop: K’gari Fraser Island. The largest sand island in the world, measuring 120km by 15km, means that you have miles and miles of pristine, untouched Heritage-listed wonders to explore. We chose to stay in a village at Kingfisher Bay Resort – the villas are clean and tidy with a fully-equipped kitchen, great for a family. One of biggest problems you’ll face on K’gari island is where to start. We opted for a day of lazing by one of the four pools. The next morning, we hopped aboard the luxurious Sea Explorer West Coast Cruise for a day out on the water. We
Then it was back along the bumpy track to Boorangoora – Lake McKenzie – where we were greeted by an unforgettable, and breathtaking, sight. Breaking up our journey home, we chose to stop at Noosa’s luxurious and familyfriendly RACV resort for some serious R&R alongside some more exciting water-bound adventures. The following day’s surf lesson with Noosa’s Learn to Surf, was almost as exciting, with both boys thrilled to catch several waves on the forgiving swell of Noosa’s Main Beach under the helpful tutelage of the patient staff. As many parents know, sometimes you return home from a holiday needing a break. But the wide-array of experiences available for everyone in the family meant that the only thing we were in need of was a return trip back north.
