獎項介紹
AWARD INTRODUCTION
金點設計獎（Golden Pin Design Award）源自 1981 年、創立於台灣，是全球華人市場具權威性與影響力 之專業設計獎項，現由台灣創意設計中心（Taiwan Design Center, TDC）辦理獎項與策劃頒獎典禮及相關
活動。自 2015 年起，金點設計獎針對不同目標族群，分設「金點設計獎」 （Golden Pin Design Award） 、 「金
點概念設計獎」 （Golden Pin Concept Design Award）及「金點新秀設計獎」 （Young Pin Design Award） 等三大獎賽，旨在褒揚傑出的創新設計產品與作品。
Established in 1981, Taiwan's Golden Pin Design Award is the most influential design award in the
global Huaren market. The planning and handling of the awards, the prize-giving ceremony, and all other related activities are executed by Taiwan Design Center (TDC). In 2015, the Golden Pin Design
Award launched three separate awards — the GOLDEN PIN DESIGN AWARD, GOLDEN PIN CONCEPT DESIGN AWARD, and YOUNG PIN DESIGN AWARD. The purpose of each award is to commend outstanding innovation in design within different target demographics.

金點設計獎
GOLDEN PIN DESIGN AWARD
金點設計獎參賽作品須為已商品化及上市銷售之產品，申請者可為業者或設計團隊。每年透過專業嚴謹與 公正的評審制度，遴選出上百件產作品，授與「金點設計標章」 ，代表對於產品品質的肯定，並從中評選出
「金點設計獎年度最佳設計獎」 ，授與象徵至高榮譽的證書及獎座，具有高度公信力。
The Golden Pin Design Award recognizes commercialized products and projects, entered by design teams and industr y professionals. Each year, through a rigorous and impar tial judging process
led by industr y exper ts, more than one-hundred products and projects are selected to receive the coveted Design Mark certificate in recognition of outstanding design. A small selection of the Design Mark recipients are then chosen to receive the Best Design trophy. The Golden Pin Design Award certificate and trophy is an influential signifier of quality in design.

GOLDEN PIN CONCEPT DESIGN AWARD
金點概念設計獎針對尚未在市場上銷售或量產之作品，開放世界各地的學生、設計師或公司報名參加，
為引領全球設計趨勢的概念獎項。每年評選出「金點概念設計獎」得獎作品並授與標章使用權，及評選
出「年度最佳設計獎」 ，授與證書、獎座及獎金，期望聚集全球創新概念，成為廣納未來創新設計之平台。 The Golden Pin Concept Design Award is open to products and projects that have not yet been mass-produced or sold on the market. It welcomes students, designers, and companies from all over the world. Winners of the annual award are granted the right to use the coveted Design Mark. The Best Design winners receive a cer tificate, award trophy, and a cash prize. The Golden Pin
Concept Design Award gathers together innovative design concepts from all around the globe, and creates a platform for future innovation in design.

金點設計獎年度最佳設計獎 BEST OF GOLDEN PIN DESIGN AWARD

2019 金點設計獎共收到來自台灣、中國大陸、香港、澳門、新加坡、日本、馬來西亞、韓國、澳洲、泰
國、越南、德國、加拿大、以色列、波蘭、汶萊、印度、美國、比利時、義大利、俄羅斯、斯洛維尼亞、 阿拉伯聯合大公國等 23 地之作品報名，報名件數及廠商家數創下歷史新高，顯示金點設計獎的徵件版圖 已愈來愈國際化。
今年共有 3,091 件報名，其中 624 件榮獲「金點設計標章」，評審團經過嚴謹的評選和討論後，共有 64 件 入圍「金點設計獎年度最佳設計獎」，並從中評選出 30 件「金點設計獎年度最佳設計獎」得主。此外今年
特別選出 1 件「金點設計獎年度特別獎 - 循環設計」及 1 件「金點設計獎年度特別獎 - 社會設計」，也將授 與象徵至高榮譽的證書及獎座。
The Golden Pin Design Award 2019 received entries from 23 countries and regions all around the globe, including
Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Canada,
Israel, Poland, Brunei, India, the United States, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Slovenia, and the United Arab Emirates. The number of countries and entrants set a new record high, signaling the Golden Pin Design Award's growing reputation among the international design community.
There were a total of 3,091 entries this year. Of those entries, 624 were granted the right to use the Design Mark. Another
64 were selected as Finalists for Best Design, following a rigorous selection process and discussion among the jury. From this shortlist, 30 entries were chosen as Best Design winners. In addition, two of this year's entries were selected
to receive the Special Annual Award for Green Design and Social Design. Certificates and trophies are conferred upon the winners in recognition of this honor.

In cooperation with Spring Glass, the glasses were made by local Taiwanese craftsmen using recycled glass. The dyed glass casts a rich, amber hue upon any beverage
contained in the glass. With circularity as the driving concept, the glass was designed
with 12 corners, drawing inspiration from 12-sided clock face. The glass both enhances social occasions with a hint of elegance, while also opening new doors for the circular economy and environmentalism.

The North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Management Office announced that the Alabao Bay in Keeling Heping Island Park, which has been closed for ten years, reopened to the public mid-2018. The brand identity draws inspiration from the slight changes in the strangely shaped rock according to time of day. Each character of the name Heping Island ( 和平島 ) carries a distinct meaning: the character 和 represents the
dazzling scenes at sunrise and sunset, 平 refers to the steady darkness throughout the night, and 島 refers to the relationship between the waves and the land, symbolizing the fertile islands bestowed upon us by mother nature.

Waterform Design reimagined the 30-year old factory through the lens of purified water. First, they deconstructed the water filtration process, and decided how each section of the space would be categorized. Then, using bar-code patterned glass and metal grid panels, they brought the water filtration process to life through the power of design.

的兩道自由曲面混凝土牆，築成寬窄不一的峽谷；路徑曲折蜿蜒，人在其中看不到出口。 面對陌生與迷失，讓五感重新成為溝通語言。
Kaohsiung residents, like most urban dwellers, are cut off from the natural environment.
Kaohsiung Shui Shui envelops visitors within winding, twisting free-form concrete walls, measuring 18- and 36-meters long. Anyone standing between the artificial canyon
can't see beyond the boundaries of the curved concrete. Through strangeness and disorientation, we're able to reconnect with our five senses and gain greater awareness.

Carved into a dune along the coast of northern China's Bohai Bay, the UCCA Dune Art Museum gently disappears beneath the sand. Simple and pure, the museum's organic,
cave-like concrete forms are a return to the primal and timeless forms of space. Blurring the boundaries between architecture, landscape, and art, the museum's unique
relationship to its site also permanently protects the dune's fragile structure from encroaching real estate development.

The scenery is different at every turn — making it easy for visitors to lose track of time strolling through the halls.

「器物的聲音百科」跳脫傳統的音樂教育，透過工作坊形式，帶領孩童以自己的雙手探索
有趣的聲音科學，引發對於音樂的想像力，並將日常物件結合 3D 列印，化為隨手可得的 樂器，創造出屬於自己的音樂。
As everyone perceives sound differently, the fact that musical education has been
confined to pre-determined instruments and musical scales limits the possibilities
of what music can be. What if, instead, we gave children the freedom to let their
imaginations roam? "Sound Lab" breaks free of traditional education through workshops designed to bring music into children's daily lives. Not only are children able
to explore different sounds, they can also use 3-D printing to create their own musical instruments with objects from daily life.

創作靈感源自春秋戰國時代的古劍， 「兵體」將劍、刀、戟等不同冷兵器造型融入字體，
展現兵器般的鋒利感。其結構穩重、中宮開闊，筆畫細節銳利，作為標題字應用於包裝、 海報等設計，盡顯十足存在感。
A Weapon Font dates back to the Warring States Period in ancient China. "Weapon Font" combines elements from different types of ancient weapons, including swords, knives, and halberds. This font is strong and stable, with sharp details, and a distinctive open
space in the middle of the character. It's ideal for fonts designed to catch people's eyes, such as packaging or posters.

現代生活中充斥著太多壓力和誘惑，使大多數人們不得不被鎖在那狹小的空間裡疲於 奔命，成了一個個空的軀殼，忘記了自我。創作期望呼籲人們突破自己，回歸本性，去追 尋自己的初心。
Those of us living in modern society are weighed down with pressures, obligations, and
temptations, to the point that we lock ourselves up just to escape. The result is that we've become empty bodies and have forgotten our true selves. This piece is designed to rally people to break out of their self-imposed cages and remember who they're supposed to be.
