Editor's Note Welcome to the third edition of Fore Girls magazine. There is a saying in English, “third time's a charm”. In this case, it is so true! We had the pleasure of meeting arguably the greatest lady golfer of all time, Annika Sorenstam, who was at Mission Hills in Dongguan, China for the 3rd Annual Annika Invitational. Fore Girls would like to give a special thank you to Tenniel Chu, Vice Chairman of Mission Hills Golf Club for making the meeting possible. So, what do we have for you in this edition? Well, we ventured over to Macau and chatted with the General Manager of the island’s soon-to-be one and only golf club, Macau Golf and Country Club. Another magnificent golfing venue amidst the glitz and glamour of the super-hotel casinos. What else? Rather than tell you here, why don’t you see for yourself. Remember to catch the next issue. The Vacation Paradise of Macau 澳門度假天堂 Macau is often thought of as the gambling capital of Asia in much the same regard as Las Vegas with the glitz and glamour. Serenity Found This perception could not be farther from the truth. Arriving at the Macau Ferry Pier, after a short journey across the Macau Bridge to Taipa, one will surprisingly find the tranquility and peace they are looking for. Facing south west overlooking the South China Sea, the soon to be one and only golf club in Macau, the Macau Golf and Country Club sits on the headland of the peninsula with views of Hac Sa beach to the west and Macau Airport to the south. Opened in 1993 and celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the club has gained a reputation for its resort ambience, superb facilities, personal service and amenities. Their championship golf course has played host to the annual Macau Open since 1998. This prestigious tournament has over the years attracted legendary players such as Sir Nick Faldo, Lee Westwood, Colin Montgomerie, John Daly, Nick Price, Padraig Harrington, Freddie Couples, Vijay Singh, and China’s favourite Zhang LianWei. The star of this year's open is none other than Ernie Els. As one would expect from a premier golf club of this standard, members and guests are treated to a golfing experience on a course like no other with stunning and sweeping views of the Pearl River Delta whilst challenging the golfer with strategically placed bunkers and lakes, narrow and undulating fairways and well protected greens. Even if you happen to be having a bad day at the office, the views alone coupled with the abundance of flora surrounding the grounds will make you forget about your woes on the course. Whilst the club itself is private with an established and loyal membership, interested golfers do have the opportunity to experience the club in all its glory. How might you ask? 18 Holes May Not Be Enough

As Time Goes By Over the 20 years, the club has progressed with the times providing its members with modern updated amenities, first rate restaurants including the popular Golfer’s Grill, spa facilities to soothe away the aches and pains after a day on the course and a wonderful bar to unwind with a beverage or two. What is apparent as you walk through the club house is the feeling of nostalgia, a sense of colonial times with the classic décor and wooden structures reminiscent of the Portuguese influence in Macau. Fore Girls had the pleasure of speaking with the General Manager Eddie Li who has been with the golf club for 20 years. He is a keen golfer himself so in a prime position to cater for and understand the needs of the golfing members. The uniqueness of the course is what sets it apart from others in so much as no two holes are the same meaning every shot poses a different challenge given the constant changing conditions. The coastal location means the wind from the South China Sea affects each hole you play requiring a different strategy even if you have played the hole before. With a very warm and welcoming club house, they believe rather than trying to do what other golf clubs are doing, it is better to build on and maintain their particular strengths. With loyal membership, the club’s priority must be its members but with the increase in demand for golf in Asia, the club has developed a partnership with the Westin Resort Macau allowing more people to experience what would otherwise be a restricted activity.

The Changing Face of Macau With Macau’s international status growing over the years, the make up and demographics of its members have changed. The annual Macau Open which attracts players from around the world has put the club on a world stage and as such the diversity of

members have changed although Hong Kong and Macau residents still make up a high percentage of the membership. There has also been an increase in lady members attracted primarily by the course which they find very enjoyable with friendly and welcoming tees. The club now boasts a very healthy and active ladies section with Tuesdays being “Ladies Morning”. A very vocal group, lady members now make up 20-30% of the Members Advisory Committee giving them a powerful voice in offering feedback and opinions on the direction of the club. Its peripheral services provide a perfect backdrop for lady members to catch up and spend time in a very relaxed atmosphere with personal and friendly staff, many of whom have been with the club for many years and have developed a good rapport with their members. With only 18 holes, some of the challenges faced by the club include the increased demand to play golf and with only a finite number of memberships available, they have tried to put measures in place to meet this demand without affecting private member privileges. Another has been the labour issues in Macau where the need to employ experienced service staff from the local community has been challenging to say the least.

What will the future bring? Certainly, the key focus for the future is to provide continued excellent service and facilities for its members and extending its access to non-members through strategic partnerships. Whilst modernising and growing the reputation of the club are priorities, maintaining its traditions and historic values going into the future are of paramount importance. With this balance, they can continue to provide professional services and products, friendly environment for each visit and a memorable experience that will make you come back again to this haven amidst the bright lights of the super-hotel casinos of this former Portuguese colony.

球會在未來會繼續為會員提供最優質的服務和設施，引進新技術以提升名氣和維持口碑是球會優先該做的事，但保留傳統和歷史價值對球會亦同樣重要，兩者互相配合下，會員及嘉賓能繼續享用專業的服務和設施、友善的環境和難忘的體驗，即使澳門有很多極盡奢華的酒店賭場，始終還是覺得澳門高爾夫球鄉村俱樂部才是真正的度假天堂。

澳門大不同澳門的國際社會地位不斷攀升，大大改變了球會會員的組成和架構，每年舉辦的澳門高爾夫球公開賽都吸引來自世界各地的選手參加，令澳門這個小城市受到國際關注，雖然球會的會員仍以澳門和香港居民為主，但這些年的確多了不少來自世界各地的新血。除此之外，球會亦多了不少女性會員，她們都認為球場很適合她們打球，能讓她們享受箇中樂趣。球會更積極推動女子高爾夫運動，將星期二定為「女士日」。今天，諮詢委員會的會員當中有兩至三成是女性會員，她們擔當重要角色，為球會提供了不少寶貴意見。很多職員已在球會任職多年，跟一眾會員建立了良好關係，加上完善的配備和服務，便能讓女士們能在一個輕鬆自在的環境下練習高球和消磨時間。球會只有十八個洞，加上會籍有限，但高球愛好者卻不斷增加，球會曾面臨一個重大考驗，就是場地供不應求的問題，他們已採取不同的措施，在不影響會員私人空間的情況下盡量配合額外的場地需求。人力資源是另一個考驗，在當地聘請有經驗的服務員實非易事，這也是他們需要解決的難題之一。

Legend, Icon, Mother 傳奇．高壇指標．慈母 Sweden, a nation of over 9 million people and one legend. There are few women in golf who have achieved what Annika Sorenstam has in the past 15 years. Considered by many to be one of the most successful and iconic lady golfers in history, her professional record speaks for itself. 瑞典，有著逾九百萬人和一個傳奇的國家，過去十五年，沒有多少位女性在高球生涯獲得過如安妮卡 · 索倫斯坦 (Annika Sorenstam) 般的成就，屢獲佳績的 Annika，贏得很多職業賽，被認定為其中一位歷史上最了不起、最成功的女高球手。

Annika showing the next generation how it's done

orn in Bro near Stockholm in 1970, young Annika grew up with her younger sister Charlotta, who also became a professional golfer and is now Director of Golf Operations at the ANNIKA Academy. She credits her father Tom and mother Gunilla together with her sister as major influences on her career. Showing incredible promise as an allround sportswoman at a young age, Annika was active in a diverse number of sports. She was a talented junior tennis player ranked nationally, played football for her hometown team Bro IK and even excelled at skiing to the point that the coach of the Swedish national ski team suggested the family move to Northern Sweden to further develop her skiing skills. It is without doubt that had Annika chosen one of these sports, she would have been a success but as fate would have it, golf would be the arena where Annika would write her name in the history books and pave the

way for future generations. Annika started playing golf at the age of 12 in her native Sweden joining the Swedish National Golf Team in 1987. During her amateur career, her notable wins included the St Rule Trophy at St Andrews, three tournament wins on the Swedish Ladies Telia Tour and the World Amateur Golf Team Championships in 1992. After moving to the United States in 1990 to study at the University of Arizona, she became the first non-American and first freshman to win the individual NCAA National Championship and won seven titles during her collegiate career. Success continued in 1992 at the United States Women’s Amateur Golf Championship with a runner-up position to Vicki Goetze. Nevertheless, despite not winning, she received an invitation to play in the 1992 U.S. Women’s Open.

一九七零年，安妮卡出生於瑞典斯德哥爾摩附近的烏普蘭斯布羅市，她自小跟妹妹夏綠蒂 (Charlotta) 一同成長，她們同屬 LPGA 職業高球手和安妮卡高爾夫學院的教練，她之所以有今天成就，全是父母和妹妹的影響。少年時期的安妮卡已是個全能運動員，她在多個體育項目上都表現出色。少年時她被公認為有天賦的瑞典青少年網球手；她亦曾為家鄉的足球隊 Bro IK 效力，除此之外，她也是個滑雪健將，就連瑞典國家滑雪代表隊的教練也建議她們舉家搬到瑞典北部以便訓練滑雪技術，如果安妮卡選擇當中任何一項運動發展，至今必定已名成利就，可是命運安排了安妮卡投身高爾夫球界，讓她在球場上發光發亮，在歷史上留下輝煌一頁。

安妮卡十二歲開始學習高爾夫球，一九八七年加入瑞典國家高爾夫球代表隊，她在業餘生涯已贏過無數獎項，當中包括在聖安德魯斯球場舉辦的 St Rule Trophy 盃、三場 Swedish Ladies Telia Tour 巡迴賽冠軍以及九二年贏得世界業餘選手冠軍。九零年移居美國入讀亞利桑那大學後，她成為首位贏得美國大學高球聯賽個人錦標賽冠軍的非美藉新生，她在大學時期一共拿下七場業餘冠軍，其後繼續，九二年在美國女子業餘錦標賽僅次於維基 · 格茨 (Vicki Goetze) 奪得亞軍，雖然沒有登上冠軍寶座，但憑著她的傑出表現最終獲邀參加九二年美國女子公開賽。

A Legend is Born Turning professional was the start of what would become her legacy as Annika over the next 15 years would go on to dominate the ladies tour setting record after record. It is fair to say that an entire book would be needed to document her achievements but here, we shall give you some of the highlights. A staggering 89 career wins of which 72 were on the LPGA Tour, the first and only lady golfer to reach $20m dollars in earnings, 10 major wins with her first win at the U.S. Women’s Open in 1995. Not content with just winning her maiden major, Annika went on to defend her title in 1996 to become the first non-American to win back to back U.S. Women’s Open titles and would win this title again in what would be her last major win in 2006. Annika would repeat back to back wins at the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2001 and 2002 with one more title coming in 2005. She would then go one better by winning 3 consecutive LPGA Championships from 2003 to 2005. Why stop there, she may as well take the Women’s British Open title in 2003 for good measure to complete a Career Grand Slam. 2003 would also be the year she was inducted into the Hall of Fame and amidst controversy and quite some vocal opposition from certain quarters of the men’s game, Annika was invited to play in the Bank of America Colonial Golf Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas becoming the first woman in the modern era to compete in a PGA event. The last time this happened was in 1945 when Babe Zaharias qualified for the Los Angeles Open. Let us not forget the historic moment at the Standard Register PING in 2001 when Annika carded a 59 in the second round to become the only ever woman to break the 60 mark in an official event, earning her the title of “Ms 59”. Having achieved so much in a long illustrious career, Annika has more or less done it all but the time to walk that last fairway was upon her. In 2008, after 15 years as a professional she

announced her retirement at the Sybase Classic and played her last professional tournament at the Dubai Ladies Masters. Her achievements on the course have undoubtedly left a legacy that has paved the way for future generations to come.

On a Mission Life after golf has been anything but quiet. Recently, Annika was in China at the Mission Hills Golf Club in Dongguan to host the third ANNIKA Invitational played on her very own signature course. The Annika Invitational at Mission Hills is the first ever girls-only junior tournament held in China featuring the top junior lady golfers aged 12 to 18 in Asia. It is also one of three worldwide junior tournaments run by the ANNIKA Foundation which includes Sweden and the United States. The top three overall finishers receives the opportunity of a trip to Orlando, Florida to compete in the U.S. ANNIKA Invitational, the award-winning American Junior Golf Association event. Fore Girls had the privilege of an exclusive interview with the legend herself after the tournament. Her inspiration for the Annika Signature Course was designed very much around the strategies required by the players rather than the strength of the players. Annika explained that when Mission Hills approached her to design her first signature course and Missions Hills’ only female designed course, she was honoured with the invitation and wanted to create a unique and memorable course. Annika cited that too often courses are designed with length in mind but with her course it is about testing the player’s range of shots and mental strategy. Globally, ladies golf has risen in prominence, particularly in Asia and with the partnership of Mission Hills, her tournament can only be of benefit to the region in providing a platform for lady golfers to improve their game. In terms of Mission Hills, BIG is how she describes the place. Also the club is most definitely at the forefront of golf in China and her excellent partnership will continue

to take ladies golf into a new era. Of all her achievements to date, Annika cites her first win at the U.S. Women’s Open as her proudest moment as this was the one tournament that she had always dreamt of winning, achieving this in only her second year on the LPGA tour. The best players in the world turn up for this tournament so the win was more the sweeter and the one you “cherish the most”.

Success is great but Annika points out that the women professional players work so hard yet recognition of their achievements are still somewhat muted in comparison to the men and of course exposure, the lack of which is obviously an issue.

At Home with Annika As busy as she is, Annika has to find a balance between her professional and personal life. She has been fortunate enough to have wonderful support from her family, particularly her husband who she describes as amazing and fully supportive. They both understand and share a common goal and work hard to build and grow their various golf related business interests. That said, “the kids come first”. Her children have already shown a keen interest in golf and in fact, at a recent competition, Annika’s daughter was with her all day at the 9-hole event, sitting quietly in the golf cart. So, preparing her children for the things to come should not be an issue and she has no worries about the sacrifice and hard work that is required. Annika explained golf has been a major part of her life and without golf, she would not have had the opportunities that allowed her to achieve so much in her life. It is apparent, Annika’s home life is very important to her. She likes nothing more than spending time at home with the family and just doing normal things, an avid cook she often entertains friends and likes to provide a very welcoming environment within the home.

晉身成為職業球手是安妮卡在接著十五年創造歷史的開始，她在女子高球項目屢創佳績成為熱門球手，驕人戰績實在多得不能盡錄，我們就為大家重點介紹一下吧。安妮卡在職業生涯期間曾贏過八十九場國際職業球賽，其中七十二場更是 LPGA 巡迴賽的項目，她是史上第一位和唯一一位贏得最多獎金的女高球手，總數高達二千萬美元。她贏過十次大賽冠軍，第一次是九五年的美國女子公開賽，但她並沒有因而自滿，反而一次又一次贏得大賽頭銜，成為第一位勝出美國女子公開賽的非美藉球手，除此之外，她亦在 2011、2002 和

肩負使命退役後的生活過得很平靜，最近安妮卡剛舉辦了第三屆安妮卡青少年女子邀請賽，地點是東莞觀瀾湖高爾夫球會的安妮卡球場，是次比賽是中國第一個純青少年女子賽事，參賽者都是來自亞洲各地年介 12 至 18 歲的青少年女高球員，賽事頭三名更獲得佛羅里達州奧蘭多舉辦的美國安妮卡青少年女子國際邀請賽的參賽資格，除了中國以外，她還會在瑞典和美國舉辦同類型國際青少年高球賽。當日比賽結束後，本刊跟安妮卡做了個獨家專訪，她表示安妮卡球場的設計較著重策略的運用，力量只是其次。安妮卡接獲觀瀾湖邀請她設計同名球場時感到非常榮幸，這亦是觀瀾湖唯一一個由女高球手設計的球場，她希望設計一個既獨特又有紀念價值的球場，更指出一般球場設計較著重長度，但她希望安妮卡球場能讓球手測試自己的擊球戰略和準確度。世界女高球手在球壇地位不斷上升，尤其是亞洲

Away from the Limelight Annika stepped away from professional golf after the 2008 season to focus on her family and the ANNIKA brand of businesses, including the ANNIKA Academy, ANNIKA Financial Group, ANNIKA Course Design, the ANNIKA Collection of apparel, and signature high-end wines. In 2007, Annika created the ANNIKA Foundation as a way to teach children the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle through fitness and nutrition, and offer aspiring junior golfers opportunities to pursue their dreams. Retiring from the game was an easy decision for Annika because she was able to step away on her own terms. She had achieved all that she could possibly achieve and did not feel the desire or hunger anymore. Starting a family and wanting to focus on other areas of golf meant the end came to a natural conclusion. Annika certainly does not miss the limelight and while she is no longer active on the tour, she is still very much involved with her various golfing interests. No doubt, her continued presence and influence can only be of benefit to the ladies game. Her accomplishments in golf or indeed in sport are a testimony to her drive and ambition. A loss for the ladies game but a gain for the world of golf. Will we get to see another Annika Sorenstam? Only time will tell.

I found after playing 2 rounds of 18 holes over two days, my hands were quite sore yet my friend was perfectly fine. What am I doing wrong? 我發現兩天內打了兩輪十八洞後我雙手感到疼痛，但我朋友並沒有這個問題，是不是我在哪裡出錯了？

Normally, it’s not a big deal for professional golfers to play 2 rounds, 36 holes in total as they do a lot of daily training. Endurance is very important for long games otherwise you will easily hurt your hands. Professional golfers are used to playing over several days and less prone to injury. However, long games are quite exhausting for amateur golfers. Furthermore, pain in the hands could also be caused by wrong postures. Maybe your grip is too tight. Amateur golfers usually play a round in 90 strokes or above. If you hit every stroke with brute force, you will definitely suffer injuries. You should try to be relaxed and not grip the club too tightly.

一般職業球手要打足 36 洞並不是大問題，因為他們經常進行長時間訓練。長時間打球需要足夠耐力手才不會痛，職業球手因為習慣長時間打球所以不易造成創傷，但一般業餘球手突然要應付長時間打球，兩輪共 36 洞自然會相對感到吃力，難免拉傷手部。另一方面，導致傷痛亦有可能是因為姿勢方面出錯，有機會是你握桿太緊，業餘球手一般打一場需要 90 桿或以上，如果每一桿都用蠻力去打，自然容易受傷，可嘗試握桿時放鬆一點。

How important is it to have a caddie? 球僮有何重要呢？

An experienced caddie is not only responsible for carrying players’ bags, spotting the players’ tee shots and cleaning the clubs, they are also your guide in the game. The caddie is familiar with everything on the course including the putting green surfaces and the run of the grass. They can give you plenty of advice on particular holes and help you calculate the yardage to the pin or hazards, as well as providing course strategies. Therefore, caddies are quite important in the game. 一個有經驗的球僮不只是替客人攜帶球具、撿球和清潔球桿，他們對球場一切包括果嶺高低、草紋和走向都很熟悉，可以給客人提供導向服務，配合客人和懂得指導客人一些策略和技術，例如他們會指導客人球往哪個方向打比較安全、應該打多遠落在哪個位置等，所以球僮其實對球員很重要。

What can I do to improve my long putting game? 怎樣才能改善我的長推技術？

In order to improve your long putting game, you need to practise controlling the speed of the ball. The distance is longer if the upswing range is greater. Both rhythm and swing range vary the distance of the stroke. Other than speed control, you have to learn to analyze the putting green surfaces and the run of the grass. There are quite a lot of factors affecting long putts. Coaches have to teach the students how to cope with a variety of putting greens and how to control the speed. 想練好長推技巧，必須尋求教練指導控制速度的技巧，控制球桿時，上桿幅度愈大，擊球距離就愈遠，配合不同節奏和幅度擊球，推桿距離都會有所不同。除了控制速度外，球手還要學會觀察果嶺狀況如果嶺的高低起伏、草紋生長的方向等，很多因素都會影響長推的效果，教練應指導學員如何適應和判斷不同情況怎樣透過控制速度作出恰當的長推動作。

There are many occasions when driving off the tee, I hit the ball to the right. How can I hit straight? 我在開球時經常失手打向右邊，怎樣才能把球直線打出？

There are lots of factors causing the ball to swing or as they call it "fade" to the right but the main reason is the open club face impacting the ball. This varies from person to person. You can ask your coach to point out your mistakes and offer ways to correct it. 雖然有很多因素可以導致發球移位傾側，但歸根究底是基於桿面在接觸高球剎那不夠方正，至於形成桿面接觸不夠方正的原因則因人而異，可以請教練指出你的毛病，糾正錯誤。

Why do golf shoes have spikes? 為什麼高爾夫球鞋有鞋底釘？

Thirty to forty years ago, metallic spikes were used for golf shoes. After many years of improvements, the metallic spikes were replaced with plastic spikes. Spikes are used to increase traction and help players to keep their balance during the swing. Life is a Roller Coaster Lily Chan was a successful actress and model in the 80s. She travelled extensively throughout Asia but after meeting her husband while in the U.S.A, she decided to leave show business to start an ordinary life and raise a family. Lily’s life has been very much a roller coaster ride. From the glamour of show business to an ordinary life of starting a family and a business, it has been interesting to say the least. Many people faced financial challenges after the economic crisis of recent years and Lily was no exception. Subsequently while on her travels, she met a tea industry expert in Yunnan and soon started learning about the art and culture of tea. Eventually, after a lot of effort and perseverance she established her very own tea business and together with her daughter Catherine, they have continued to develop and grow this business. While Lily is a consummate professional in terms of her career when it comes to her home life she is a child at heart. Lily and Catherine are more like sisters and talk about everything together. Not only are they family but also business partners, golf and travel buddies sharing almost all their business and leisure time with one another.

The Best Partners Ever Spending her leisure time playing golf, Lily has made many friends while on the golf course. She enjoys golf because one can play for a much longer timespan than other sports particularly after retirement and beyond. At the very beginning, she played golf with a friend at Clear Water Bay Golf Course but was not too keen. However, she later participated in many ladies golf events organised by the club where she met quite a lot of people who would later become friends. It was then that she started to develop an interest in golf and soon it would became a major part of her life. Lily considers her daughter to be her best friend in life, working and spending a lot of time together. Catherine started playing golf when she was young but was not really interested at first. Recently, she went to London to study and had more opportunity to play golf where she improved significantly. Catherine recalls hitting a hole-in-one in a particular game and from that point was hooked. Moreover, she wanted to develop a mutual interest with her mother so that there was an activity they could both enjoy. Since then, she has spent more time on the golf course honing her skills. Lily feels that without a common interest, a relationship between friends or even family members can weaken due to a lack of communication resulting in conflicts and arguments. Through golf, Lily and her daughter have been able to gain a

better understanding of each other and thus bringing them closer. They seldom argue which is a rarity among the mother daughter dynamics of most families. Beside their mutual interest in golf, they are also business partners working together in developing their business in the tea industry. Lily is responsible for quality control while her daughter manages the marketing and brand building. They have achieved remarkable success to date. Tea is an important part of Chinese culture and as Lily explained, tea is more or less similar to wine in that the taste gets richer over time. In addition to trading in tea, they have also been trying to popularise tea culture in Hong Kong and China.

Reversed Roles Lily and Catherine are both competent businesswomen but their roles are reversed after work as Lily is usually the one being looked after. In her daughter’s eyes, she will always be a role model. No matter how busy they are, they will still keep in constant contact with each other no matter how busy they are even when travelling abroad for work or study. Maintaining this support for one another has allowed them to believe in each other completely. While Lily can sometimes be impatient, Catherine is a much calmer person often on hand to comfort and calm her mother whenever she faces problems. Catherine has always been a good cook and Lily was particularly impressed by the curry she made once when she was young. Moreover, her daughter is so considerate that she helps to lower the stress and pressures in Lily’s life and takes good care of her general wellbeing and diet. Lily cites a particular sweet gesture when Catherine prepared her toothpaste and toothbrush for her when she returned home one evening. These small things help to put the worries of the day behind her. No matter whether it is getting along with friends or family, maintaining a relationship is an educational process. Relationships often weaken and an emotional wall can develop between two generations, particularly when there is a generation gap due to cultural differences and the absence of understanding. You could see the endearment in their eyes when recalling past memories. Indeed, how do they maintain their relationship? Try not to take any relationship for granted. It only lasts for as long as you show understanding and forgiveness. For Lily and Catherine, their unbreakable bond is something that only a mother and daughter will understand.

陳俐利 (Lily Chan) 是八十年代女星，喜歡四出登台的她曾到各地如中國、香港、台灣等演出，後來在美國工作時認識了丈夫，就結束演藝事業，過著平凡的生活。 Lily 的人生就好像過山車一樣有起有落、有高有低，花花世界後生活歸於平淡，建立家庭發展事業，金融風暴令不少人陷入經濟危機，她亦不能幸免，後來在雲南認識了一位對茶十分有研究的專家，Lily 就開始跟隨學習茶藝學問，最終還是憑著努力和堅持打造出今天的茶業王國。工作方面，她是一位女強人；回到家裡，她卻變成女兒眼中的「大細路」，母女倆親如密友、無所不談，一同打理生意、一同品茶、一同打高爾夫球、一同到處旅行，猶如「孖公仔」一樣。

here is a huge variety of insurance plans available today. Everyone can choose the most appropriate insurance plans according to his or her needs. Usually, people will buy insurance for health, accidents and travel. Indeed, there are many insurance plans throughout the world with some of them insuring against some strange and unexpected events. For example, you can purchase plans to cover alien abductions, the groom getting cold feet just before the wedding or even corporal punishment for children in school. For you, maybe all the above insurance plans are not quite relevant. However, there is a kind of insurance you, as a golfer should not be without, golf insurance. Most of you will be aware that there is an unwritten rule that says a golfer who makes a hole-in-one is obliged to treat their group to a meal after a round of golf. The expense could be either large or small depending on the numbers of golfers in your group. It is true that a hole-in-one is the most exhilarating experience and is incredibly amazing but not everyone can bear the damage to the wallet. To cater for this situation, insurance companies started providing coverage for hole-in-one celebrations. Once you make a hole-in-one, you would be given a certain amount of money for compensation. Of course, the amount of compensation varies depending on different insurance companies. The Sergio Rossi Fall-Winter 2013-14 collection idealized by creative director Francesco Russo finds inspiration in one forceful idea, the exaltation of the shoe as an expression of architectonic design. It’s a tribute to world-class Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, who through his work has forged a union between architectural vision and engineering principles. Accordingly, the Sergio Rossi shoe becomes for all practical purposes a micro building where the architectural factor emerges conceptually as the successful pursuit of a design project, not as a group of geometric shapes but consequently complete constructions. Both as a striking example and signature item of the new Sergio Rossi collection is a spikeheel pump with set steel support cage (gem-set mode) between heel and sole. While surely a decorative feature, this cage is also a keenly functional element since, no different from the metal frameworks essential to building construction, it supports the delicate structure of the shoe. In line with the concept of simplicity and the pure clean design underpinning the collection, the palette contains black, white and nude hues only. As for materials, the use of python in addition to classic leather and suede depends on this snakeskin’s particular check-like texture, which enhances and highlights the graphic effects and underscores the geometric gaps of the shoe. Lastly, pink, gold and steel metals with an effective connection to the realm of architecture, tops off the collection’s mood to perfection. Its fruit is the source of olive oil and plays a major agricultural role. Spain and Italy are well known for their consumption of olive oil with Greece having the highest consumption per person. An incredibly versatile fruit, the olive other than used for cooking has also been used for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and even fuel. Before, one digresses into the many facts about olive oil, let us re-focus on the so called health benefits. Olive oil by definition is a fat product so one may be asking oneself, how can fat be good for you? Not all fats are damaging to the body and more importantly, you need a certain level of fat or what is deemed healthy fat to maintain a healthy functioning body. Unfortunately, in today’s culture of fast processed food with all the artificial fat substitutes or variants floating around, it is no wonder fat even in its purest form has developed a bad reputation. Olive oil does come in several forms from extra light requiring a little processing to extra virgin considered the best and purest form, certainly the healthiest. Particularly, in the Western hemisphere where people are constantly looking at ways to reduce obesity, chronic disease and premature death, maybe olive oil can help towards this. Olive oil is the only vegetable oil that can be consumed in its raw form pressed from the fruit itself. High in monounsaturated fatty acids and antioxidative substances, studies have shown that just 2 tablespoons of virgin olive oil after 1 week can help towards the protection of heart disease by reducing bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol and with long term usage the benefits are without question.

Incredibly easy to consume it is also beneficial to the digestive system improving digestion and helping to reduce the risk of colon cancer. Another common ailment of modern living is high blood pressure. The stresses and struggles of juggling family, work and free time can have even the calmest and relaxed individual reaching boiling point so every little helps. Its antioxidation qualities mean it can help to clear the arteries and blood vessels allowing your blood to flow more freely which by virtue of this fact surely means the less likelihood of a heart attack. It is also mentioned in varying studies the improvement of calcium in the bones having a correlation with the intake of olive oil. Particularly for women of a certain age where reduction in bone density is a common issue, it is definitely of importance. Not to mention improving cognitive abilities but olive oil is a very good source of omega 3 which as doctors and experts will tell you, helps to improve memory. Beauty Is Only Skin Deep n today’s fast pace lifestyle particularly in a city like Hong Kong, modern living can play havoc on your skin. The stress of getting to and from work, air pollution, traffic fumes, long hours at work, smoking, drinking, poor diet, lack of sleep ….. need I go on. Unfortunately, these are all very common and real factors that can have an adverse effect on your skin so hence the need to either remove these from your life completely or take preemptive strikes to mitigate the damage. If like me, you have a hectic daily schedule, you will appreciate my sentiments. We cannot all be born with naturally clear and clean complexions. So, for those of us not blessed with great genetics, we must rely on moisturisers and lotions. The market is full of so many brands that it can be a minefield trying to choose the right one. Everyone has a different skin type so there are no set rules when it comes to which one is best for you. However, try to avoid the ones containing alcohol as these will irritate the skin. Luckily, we do have some tips to share with you to put you on the right path to great looking skin. Sometimes, we can overdo the cleansing of our skin. Try cutting back on showers, bathing and even facial cleansers. Too much of this can strip away sebum and natural moisturing factors from our skin leaving it dry and dehydrated. With the lack of natural oils and water, your skin can look and feel old. Washing at night gives your skin time to replenish itself ready for the next day. In addition, you should try to rinse off thoroughly removing any residue of soaps and cleansing agents as if not then the residue will start to dry on the skin preventing it from breathing. that you pat your skin instead of rubbing it particularly for those with dry skin. You will be surprised what a difference this will make to your skin. However, remember to keep the houseplants well watered. Often, we feel the need for some pampering and head to the spa for some TLC but try to avoid the steam room or sauna. We know it feels great to clear the pores and sweat out any impurities but it can leave our skin drier than before. However, as you are at the spa, never leave without having a facial. Having regular facials from a professional not only cleanses and cares for your skin but can also be one of the most relaxing moments helping to relieve stress. The next measure should be obvious but possibly the one we dislike the most. Exercising regularly will help to increase blood flow and therefore supply oxygen and nutrients to your skin keeping it soft and supple. Last but not least, have plenty of rest and more importantly at the right time. You need to rest and so does your skin. 漂亮由深做起今天的都市生活節奏急速，尤其生活在香港這國際大都會，長時間工作和壓力、空氣污染、煙酒、飲食不均衡及缺乏睡眠等都會影響皮膚健康。以上種種因素都會為皮膚帶來嚴重破壞，要避免或緩和皮膚變差就要從生活做起，或者選用合適的護膚產品。不是每個人都得天獨厚擁有嫩滑肌膚，像我這樣缺乏先天條件兼生活節奏急速的人就要靠護膚品保養肌膚。市面上充斥著各大小品牌的潤膚霜，種類繁多，多得不知道該如果選擇。每個人的膚質都不相同，要說哪一個品牌或哪一款潤膚霜功效最好，實在沒有標準答案，選擇潤膚霜需要根據自己膚質而定，不過應盡量避免用含酒精的潤膚霜，以免對皮膚造成剌激。雖然潤膚霜的好與壞要親自體驗才知道，但我們有些貼士可以分享，讓大家懂得怎樣保持嫩滑肌膚。有時候我們過份清潔肌膚也會造成傷害，會削弱體內皮脂和保護膜，令皮膚變得乾燥缺水，缺乏天然油脂和水份自然令肌膚變老，所以不應長時間淋浴和潔面。夜間清潔可讓肌膚有足夠時間分泌油睹供第二天使用，另外亦要把身上和臉上的清潔用品徹底沖淨，清潔用品殘留在皮膚上會堵塞毛孔，令肌膚無法呼吸。用毛巾抹乾水份時都會剌激肌膚，膚質偏乾的人要特別注意，建議不要用力擦乾身體，應輕力把水份印乾。香港的冬季未算非常寒冷，但長時間使用暖氣或暖爐都會抽乾肌膚水份，事實上，長時間使用冷氣機也會減低室內空氣濕度，想在保持室內濕度，可考慮在家裡種植一些家居植物以用作天然加濕器，但記得要定期灌溉植物。很多人都有到 Spa 做護理療程的習慣，但要盡量避免桑拿和蒸氣浴，出一身汗把堵塞毛孔的廢物和雜質徹底排出的確有種舒暢的感覺，但過後會令皮膚變得比之前更乾，不過到 Spa 記得要做個臉部按摩，專家指出定期進行臉部按摩不但有助清潔護理肌膚，更可以讓人放鬆身心，從而達到減壓作用。接著的小貼士相信對大部分人來說都是知而行難，定期運動有助改善身體血液循環，為肌膚提供足夠氧氣和養分，保持肌膚柔軟嫩滑。最後就是要保持充足睡眠和作息定時，身體需要適當休息，肌膚同樣需要。所以，記得以上的小貼士，好好愛護你的肌膚，就能時刻保持肌膚幼滑動人。

Sweden’s Caroline Hedwall sank a 4-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole at Colorado Golf Club to capture a 1-up victory over Michelle Wie assuring the Europeans would retain the Cup for the first time since the biennial event began in 1990. Less than 20 minutes later, European Solheim Cup veteran Catriona Matthew sank a par putt on the 18th hole to halve her match with Gerina Piller and earn the half-point that gave the Europeans back-to-back victories for the first time in the history of the event. It had been a goal of the Europeans heading into this week to make history by winning on U.S. soil but they did more than that. The 16-year-old amateur from New Zealand became the first amateur to win two LPGA events and the first amateur to successfully defend her title after shooting a final-round 65 to capture a five-shot victory at Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton. Sitting one shot back of third-round leader Caroline Hedwall entering Sunday’s final round, Ko got off to a hot start and never looked back. She birdied five of her first eight holes of the day and stormed out to a big lead. The first blip in Ko’s scorecard came on the par-4 13th when she missed her par putt and settled for her only bogey of the day. Overall Champion Ji Rong of Kunming China with the Legendary Annika Sorenstam and Vice Chairman of Mission Hills Group Tenniel Chu

The 3rd ANNIKA Invitational at Mission Hills 第三屆安妮卡·觀瀾湖青少年女子邀請賽 First junior girls-only tournament in China’s junior golf history.

The Annika Invitational at Mission Hills successfully concluded on the Annika Course at Mission Hills in Dongguan on August 23rd. The Overall Champion was won by teenage golfer Ji Rong from Kunming China. She will qualify to participate in the Annika Sorenstam International Invitational to be held in the United States along with another two teenage golfers, Chinese player Wang Ziyi and Malaysian player Loy Hee Ying. Moreover, Ji Rong will also be invited to play in the 2014 World Ladies' Championship at Mission Hills Haikou. This year, the weather was a big challenge for the teenage golfers. On the first day, the golfers were playing in intensely hot and muggy weather conditions. There were a few showers on the second day and the third round was cancelled due to thunderstorms on the third day. Annika Sorenstam has a strong relationship with Mission Hills. She designed the ANNIKA course at Mission Hills ten years ago and she brought the ANNIKA Invitational into China three years ago. It is the first junior girls-only tournament in China’s junior golf history. It was the third joint junior tournament held by Annika and Mission Hills and provided the young female golfers in both China and abroad a valuable platform. It has already nurtured a group of future golfing stars.

Speaking ahead of the announcement, Woods, winner of 79 PGA Tour titles said, “The Match at Mission Hills is geared to be a great contest with the great setting in Haikou, and I’m excited about playing there for the first time. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Blackstone, so it looks like a great location for the re-match with Rory, whom I know has played there before in the World Cup. I’ve played at Mission Hills on the mainland, but this will be my first time playing at their Haikou’s resort and I’m looking forward to visiting Hainan Island for the first time.” “I’m hoping to win this time. 2013 Venetian Macau Open Two-time champion Zhang Lian-wei will compete at the 2013 Venetian Macau Open alongside Yang Zi-hao, the winner of the 13th ‘Zhang Lian-wei’ Cup International Junior Invitational, which took place earlier this year. With wins in 2001 and 2002, Zhang has participated at every Macau Open except 2003 when he was injured. The winner of the competition this year receives an invitation to play at the Venetian Macau Open and Yang is keen to make the most out of this unique opportunity. Local challenge will be spearheaded by 25-year-old Xiao Jie-yu, one of the most experienced and consistent amateurs

Mike Kerr, Chief Executive Officer of Asian Tour explained that while there are plans to include women golf events in the future, the focus for the Macau Open at present is on the men’s game but certainly Asian Tour respects and understands the strength of the women’s game, particularly in Asia. However, it is important to recognise that one of Asian Tour’s aims is promoting the profile and growth of golf as a whole and women are particularly critical

in the development of junior golf. In terms of the Macau Open, Mike mentioned that although there are no major issues, he would like to see an increase in spectators on the golf course at the Macau Open. It is an opportunity to experience the joy of golf and encourage more people to play. Zhang Lian Wei, the most successful golfer from China explained that the development of the junior women’s game was certainly developing faster than the junior men’s game because globally, the men’s game is generally stronger hence tougher for the junior boys to make their mark on the game. In China, there has been a lot of focus on youth development and the girls have excelled particularly well.

THE REIGNWOOD LPGA CLASSIC PRESENTS THE STELLAR LINE UP 華彬 LPGA 中國精英賽公佈超豪華陣容 Reignwood Pine Valley, Beijing, 3-6 October, 2013 The LPGA announced the line-up of players for the foremost women’s golfing tournament in China, the Reignwood LPGA Classic. From 3rd October to 6th October, fourteen of the top twenty female golfers from the LPGA money list (of which seven are in the top ten), will gather at the Pine Valley course and create history at this milestone event in China’s golf scene. As of 16th September, 7 of the top 10 players (according to the LPGA money list published on 16th September) who will be battling it out are Inbee Park (1), Stacy Lewis (2), So Yeon Ryu (3), I.K. Kim (4), Beatriz Recari (6), Na Yeon Choi (7) and Hee Young Park (10). All seven have confirmed their participation to compete for the US$1.8 million prize money. On top of this already stellar field, other top players such as Lizette Salas (11), Karrie Webb (13), Karine Icher (14), Cristie Kerr (15), Shanshan Feng (17), Jessica Korda (18), Caroline Hedwall (20) will round up the line-up of internationally recognised women golfers who will be taking part in the 2013 Reignwood LPGA tournament. Other well-known female golfing personalities will also be taking part, such as the beautiful golfing ingénue Michelle Wie, World Golf Hall of Fame inductee Pak Se Ri and Caroline Hedwall,

the first player in Solheim Cup history to win five matches in a single competition, captaining Team Europe to a victory over the Americans. “This is the inaugural edition of the Reignwood LPGA Classic. We are all social golfers so don’t really take it that seriously. It’s nice to play a gentle game and then have some lunch after and chat about things. When it cools down a bit later in the year, it will be more comfortable. 我不是回應 foreum 內容的，我只想說女子高爾夫能愈來愈受關注實在可喜可賀，我每星期都會跟朋友到粉嶺高爾夫球場打球，我們都是為了聯誼玩玩而已，所以沒有打得太認真，純粹到球場舒展下筋骨，然後一同閒聊吃飯也不錯。早幾個月的天氣實在太差了，幸好球會對我們照顧周到。遲些日子應該會涼一點，到時更適合打高爾夫。

I was reading your first issue a few weeks ago. I play golf regularly with my husband and he always insists I carry my own golf bag even when it is really heavy. He says it’s the rules of the game. I’m not so sure. But, he did pay for lunch after so we can still say he is a gentleman, maybe just not when we play golf. 幾星期前我才開始閱讀你們的雜誌，我平時也有跟老公一起落場打球，即使球袋再重，他也堅持要我帶上自己的球具，他說這是遊戲規則之一，我也不肯定有沒有錯，但之後他會請我吃午餐，還算是有紳士風度吧，只是在球場上看不見而已。

- Yee I’ve just started playing golf. It’s such a frustrating game. You must take lessons though, my coach is brilliant. Really helped improve my swing. At this moment, I’m still like you, my gross score is not that pretty. I was lucky when I played in China recently. I scored a par 4 as well. I think it was luck. Hahaha. 我剛開始打高爾夫球，有時感覺還頗糟的，幸好我有個好教練，他幫了我很多，令我的揮桿技術進步了不少，現階段我仍是跟你一樣，成績有點丟臉。最近我在中國一場比賽中竟幸運地打出漂亮的四桿洞，不過也只是碰巧運氣好而已，哈哈。
