To strengthen the partnership and intensify the communication between the school and the parents, the annual Parents General Assembly was conducted last June 28, 2014 at the HCECi Multi-Purpose Center (MPC). Only 68% of the entire HCECi parents were present during the general orientation program, according to the records of the Registration Committee. Hence, HCECi did not meEt the KRA target compared with the previous KRA rating last year with 88%. A decrease of 20% this school year. Faculty line-up, Orientation on the Basic Education Set-Up, New Direction of the school as it approaches its 25th Foundation Anniversary and the New and Enhanced SOC (students’ organizations and clubs) for the next two school years were presented and discussed. The activity was also an opportune time for the parents to meet the school personnel most especially the teachers who will be guiding their children in their academic journey for this school year. The administration extends its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the parents who made it that day.

2014 NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION The Nutrition Month theme for 2014 is KALAMIDAD PAGHANDAAN, GUTOM at MALNUTRISYON AGAPAN. This Is to uphold interventions in addressing the nutrition needs of the Filipinos extending from preparedness, response, recovery, and rehabilitation phases. It also aims to trigger appropriate, coherent and timely responses from Nutrition Cluster at all levels. In anticipation of the upcoming Nutrition Month, July of every year, the National Nutrition Council Central Office stresses the importance of increased awareness and higher level of preparedness which can be achieved through the prevention of hunger and worsening of malnutrition of malnutrition during calamities. NNC with the help of partner agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs) and stakeholders is challenged to plan for activities that would enable the people communities to be nutritionally prepared especially during disasters. MENDEZ BAGS 4th PLACEMEDAL IN INTERNATIONAL MATH COMPETITIONS The Philippines, after sending a strong team of math wizards, reaped various medals from its participation in the 2014 "King of Math" International Mathematics Contest and 2014 10th "Asia Cup" Stars of the Olympic Math Contest for Grades 1 to 6 and Grades 1 to 9 respectively in Hong Kong last June 30 - July 2, 2014. The Filipino math wizards, including ERIC FABIAN THIRDY A. MENDEZ, son of Mr. Eric Fabian Mendez and Mrs. Shelly Mendez brought the country into international prominence as he hauled a 4th place-medal from the KING of MATH contest in Hong Kong.

Drawing a close to 1000 participants from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, and the Philippines, these three math contests: King of Math 2014, Environmental Science Search for Wizards and Asia Math Cup made every math challenger solve a different set of mind-boggling math problems for three consecutive days.

Parents must have been asking as to where the reams of bond paper each family is asked to bring to school. Specifically , it aims to: 1. Provide activities which will help the participants get better acquainted and be more at ease with each other so that it will pave a smoother way for airing out views and suggestions in the future. 2. Discuss characteristics of a good leader and tackle the duties and responsibilities of each officer. 3. Facilitate interaction through activities which aim to develop self confidence, assertiveness and self-reliance. 4. Organize the Young Leaders Society , the group that will steer the rest of the HCECians to achieve a common goal for the development of the HCEC community.
