From Box to Ministry
What started as a simple donations box in church before Covid became Garstang’s Food Club. One box became a weekly food club with 30 volunteers from the Garstang community and feeding around 40 individuals living locally. When regulations allowed, Food Club (like a shop but with no money needed) started in St Thomas’s church hall. Volunteers set up and welcome users who come to choose their own food. Recently one of the volunteers said, ‘thanks for helping me gain confidence
