Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Praise God Almighty for His presence we are given the opportunity to contribute more in midwifery students movement in Indonesia. Hopefully, what we have done so far blessed by God and can provide benefit for others. Ikatan Lembaga Mahasiswa Kebidanan Indonesia (IKAMABI) is the only association of Indonesian midwifery students organization that has been approved by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education since September 30, 2015. IKAMABI established on 11 November 2011 with a role as a unifier of Indonesian midwifery students, advocates obstetric health and education policy, as well as contribute to the development of public health. In 2015, IKAMABI join the Alliance of Indonesian Health Student Organization (AOMKI) together 8 student health organization. IKAMABI focuses on the activities of advocacy, Capacity Building, Community Development, and Research and Education. Currently, IKAMABI already has 76 institutional members in 7regions in Indonesia and is centered at the Medical Faculty of Universitas Padjadjaran. To carry out its role, midwifery students need to perform the movement. Howefer, the movement would the meaningless without the unity of all elements of midwifery students. Properly philosophy of tress, entrenced and towering, midwifery students Indonesia already have to have a sense of family, unity, and spirit. Therefore, IKAMABI always open for all the components of midwifery students who want to join and contribute together. Welcome aboard and safely proceed! IKAMABI JAYA! Starting from a dream that is initiated by the Midwifery Student of Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret Surakarta (UNS), then formed IMABI (Association of Midwifery Student) through the Kentingan Declaration in Surakarta on December 13 2009 with membership limited to area of Joglosemar (Yogyakarta, Solo, and Semarang) and be coordinated by Endah Sulityowati of UNS.

HISTORY Eastjava Midwifery Forum (OVARIUM) IMABI’s membership grew up in East Java through East Java Midwifery Forum (OVARIUM) organized by the Association of Midwivery Student Medical Faculty Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, East Java and several Jakarta midwifery institutions on 08 October 2011.
IKAMABI Then on 11 November 2011 IMABI renamed to IKAMABI (Indonesian Midwifery Students Association).
DECLARATION IKAMABI On December 11, 2011 At the Inna Putri Hotel, Nusa Dua, Bali IKAMABI was declared at that time coincided with the first day of the 3rd International Health Conference by HPEQ-DIKTI witnessed by Indonesian Midwifery Association (IBI), AIPKIND, and chairperson of midwifery institutions throughout Indonesia.
