Unhappy farm worker Mei steals some money from her boyfriend Seng, boards a ship to Japan and leaves him broken-hearted. But when she is deported it is Seng that greets her at the harbor for a night of bitter reflection.

Known for his distinctive knack for cinematic narrative, original directorial style and an innate ability to connect with his audience, He has collected over 60 international and local film awards for his short films, documentaries and recently his feature film.
