Slowly a new relationship sparks between Lin and Josh. However, the relationship turns complicated in Red House, involving the clothing store owner Sean and his friend Lian. The story has been adapted from the classical novel, DREAM OF THE RED CHAMBER, adapting the characters and events from the original story to life at Red House in Taipei Ximending. The film avoids focusing on moral issues and making any judgements. It display an honest and natural depiction. Old film footage, which has an independent, fictional time, intimately occupy my and my father’s consciousness or memories. After nearly 30 years of this frozen relationship, I look forward to using film to document this ‘time’, which becomes a concrete and direct journey when it radiates through a world filled with real emotions.

Looking at the face facing forward in the mirror, I wonder if this is the real me or just a copy of me outside the mirror?
