在2003年，我們想為獨立電影多出一分力，成立了非牟利電影團體 《藍空間》(InDBlue)。在沒有資助的情況下，以自負盈虧的方式， 舉辦不同的活動。雖然，我們每年也沒有取得收支平衡，但總算汲 取了不少難忘的經驗，結出了不少寶貴的成果。

InDPanda means “In-D-panda”. This kind of independent panda is a rare discovery of the independent scene. You may once got the “panda eyes” when you never stop watching the films you love overnight. The annual InDPanda International Short Film Festival highlights short films with different genres and topics from all over the world. It aims to make you back for love of independent films. The black and white colour of panda reminds you the basic concept of independent production. Just a simple idea, even without big budget, you can still make excellent short films. It’s SO BASIC.

三年前，我們原本打算 在《InDPanda國際 短片節》以外，新增 「Polar」和「Bear」兩個電影節（合起來就是 Polar Bear），但礙 於資源的限制下，我們只是誕生了選映長片的《InDBear國際電影 節》。去年，我們原打算在九月份舉行《InDPolar國際動畫節》，但 因為我們的老拍檔換新裝，我們延期到現在，才把這隻充滿兩極性 的InDPolar(獨立北極熊)帶到大家跟前。

關於侯季然導演 政治大學廣播電視研究所畢業。曾任「台灣電影資料庫」研究助理，影評人， 專欄作家，現為自由編導。 2003年因首部個人影像作品《星塵15749001》拿下台北電影節百萬首獎而 開始專職導演工作。2005年以摩托車為主題的短片《我的七四七》，獲得香 港IFVA獨立短片競賽 Asian New Force大獎；同年完成的紀錄片《台灣黑電 影》，重新挖掘並定義台灣七○年代末期的「社會寫實電影」，入選東京、 釜山及鹿特丹等國際影展，並入圍金馬獎最佳紀錄長片；2010年個人首部劇 情長片《有一天》入選柏林影展青年論壇單元；同年參與李崗導演監製之三 段式電影《茱麗葉》，作品：《該死的茱麗葉》。2011年執導《10+10》電影 計劃其中一段《小夜曲》。 個人第二部劇情長片《南方小羊牧場》將於2012年秋天上映。 About the director, Hou Chi-jan
FOCUS ON DIRECTOR
Having worked on the “Database of Taiwan Cinema” during his college days, Hou’s works tend to be lyrical and stylish, and are often characterized by the themes of time and memory. 侯季然是我們的好朋友，自第一屆InDPanda起，時會選映他的短片作品。今 年的「焦點導演節目」一分為二，讓大家全面地認識侯季然。 Hou Chi-jan, a close friend of InDPanda. We highlight his films since the 1st InDPanda. The two Focus on Director programmes show you how talented the filmmaker is.
His experimental short, STARDUST 15749001, won the Grand Prix at the Taipei International Film Festival in 2003. His second short, MY 747, won the Grand Prix of Hong Kong IVFA Independent Short Film & Video Award in 2006. His documentary work, TAIWAN BLACK MOVIES, which presented cult films made during repressive 1970s-era Taiwan, was nominated for the Golden Horse Awards and invited to many international film festivals. Hou Chi-Jan’s first feature film ONE DAY has been selected in Berlinale Forum 2010. In the same year, his short film JULIET’S CHOICE, from the Pushing Hand Project produced by Khan Lee, is selected in Pusan International film festival and theatrical released in December 2010. In 2011, he directed GREEN ISLAND SERENADE, a segment of the Omnibus Project 10+10. WHEN A WOLF FALLS IN LOVE WITH A SHEEP, an urban romance comedy, will be Hou Chi-Jan’s next feature film.
