Happy, HEALTHY GOALS kWRITTEN BY HAYLEY PUGH
S
pending more time with my thoughts and actually getting to relax led to me coming up with a small list of goals to help me be more intentional about my health and happiness. I decided to share them here, maybe for inspiration for some of you if there are things you want to change about your life!
• Spend WAY less time on your phone. I knew people generally use their phones to take up idle time and fill awkward spaces, but I didn’t realize until I refused to use my phone for a while how often I rely on it and how much thoughtspace it takes up. Even choosing not to look at it during ads or commercials forces you to use your brain for a few extra minutes, which can really accomplish a lot. I want to use my phone intentionally rather than as a filler or an escape. I’d also like to put it on “do not disturb” every now and then to force myself to be more free and present.

This week I took a much needed solo vacation, turned my phone off for a few days, and let myself be.
