El 2020 comenzó imponiendo grandes cambios. De la mano de la tecnología, fuimos enfrentando nuevos desafíos, nuevas formas de aprendizaje y hasta nuevas formas de relacionarnos. Producto de una pandemia mundial, nuestra cotidianeidad, en todas sus formas, se vio modificada.

Cuando surgen grandes transformaciones nos vemos obligados a elegir entre dos caminos: acompañar o no acompañar el proceso de cambio. Hace un tiempo, elegimos el primer camino. Comenzamos a utilizar ciertas herramientas tecnológicas armando aulas virtuales, revista online e implementando el uso de diversas redes sociales con fines didáctico-pedagógicos.

Este año los vamos a sorprender con una revista llena de historias por contar, de diversos géneros, con participación de alumnos y alumnos a partir de los 4 años. Consideramos fundamental brindarles un espacio donde sean capaces de expresar sus emociones, dejar brotar su creatividad para construir algo nuevo, algo original y único que nos muestre de qué están hechos.

Los cuentos estimulan la fantasía, la sensibilidad, la memoria y la expresión; ayudan a desarrollar el lenguaje, en este caso, el uso de la lengua inglesa, y a ampliar su vocabulario. A su vez, aumentan la percepción y la capacidad de comprender. Además, en el caso de los más pequeños, el proyecto comprendió la lectura de varios cuentos, estimulando así la atención y la comprensión lectora en Inglés.

Los invitamos a realizar un recorrido por nuestra revista, donde podrán encontrar distintos tipos de historias: desde cuentos de hadas hasta ciencia ficción, pasando por anécdotas, leyendas y mitos urbanos, entre otros.

Stories with pictures ART KINGDOM

4 and 5 years old Throughout the project, we read and enjoyed classical stories such as The Tortoise and the Hare or The Three Little Pigs. Children laughed, danced and learned about hard work, perseverance and dedication, friendship and patience. In the end, we chose our favourite characters and we dressed up like them to dramatize our favourite parts in each story.

A lo largo del proyecto leímos y disfrutamos de cuentos clásicos como La liebre y la tortuga o Los tres cerditos. Los niños rieron, bailaron y aprendieron sobre el trabajo duro, la perseverancia y dedicación, la amistad y la paciencia. Al final, elegimos a nuestros personajes favoritos y nos vestimos como ellos para dramatizar nuestras partes favoritas en cada historia.

Fantasy KIDS 1

Fantasy stories are about magical people that exist in fantastic or strange worlds. We discussed and chose our favourite fantastic characters and created our own story. Then, we illustrated it and enjoyed dressing up as them to find our happy ending.

Las historias de fantasía tratan sobre personas mágicas que existen en mundos fantásticos o extraños. En Kids 1 elegimos nuestros personajes fantásticos favoritos y creamos nuestra propia historia. Luego, lo ilustramos y disfrutamos vistiéndonos como ellos para encontrar nuestro final feliz.

Our Adventure Story

THE ANIMALS’ CASTLE > BRUNO RODRIGUEZ > FACUNDO LARROCA > FELICITAS MAIDANA > MATEO MARINO MANCEBO In a far, far away land, there is a castle in a jungle. A princess lives in the castle. She has got brown hair and light blue eyes. She is medium-size and she is wearing a pink dress.

Under the castle lives a dragon. The dragon is aquamarine green and it is a good dragon. In the jungle, there is a lion. This lion is yellow and its mane is red. The lion is good, too.

The lion and the dragon don’t like the castle in the middle of the jungle, too much noise. They want the princess to go away. The princess says “NO” because she hasn’t got another house. So, the lion and the dragon invite the princess to live in the jungle but there is a problem, the house is not ready for the princess. The lion, the princess and the dragon go to the castle to find the things for the princess’ house but now, there is a monster.

Surprise! The monster is good and helps them to find the things for the house.

Finally, the castle is a new place for all the animals in the jungle including the dragon. The princess has got her new house. Now, they have a party to celebrate and they live happily!

Our Fable

PATIENCE IN QUARANTINE! > AMBAR LIBERCZUK > ALMA ALDERETE > FRANCO SOSA > MORA SEGRETO > SANTINO QUIVEO Once upon a time, there was a dog and a cat in a big house. The dog was a skeleton dog and it was rebel, clumsy and impatient.

The cat was aquamarine and it was patient, intelligent and serious.

One day, during the quarantine, the dog and the cat were hungry so their owner went to buy food and bowls for them. The cat sat down and waited but the dog wasn’t patient and it went after the owner. In a moment, in the street, a car passed by and the dog lost its owner.

The dog started to look for the owner and arrived at the park. At the park, there was a friend of its owner and he called him and took the dog home. The cat told the dog “You should be patient! Now, you don’t have food because our owner couldn’t buy it.”

Detective stories TEENS 2

Detective story, type of popular literature in which a crime is introduced and investigated and the culprit is revealed.

El grupo de Teens 2, adolescentes, escribieron sobre historias de detectives, donde se ven involucrados crímenes a investigar y resolver.

TWO BROTHERS

Later the police officer came in and observed that the back door was open, Thomas was on the floor with a knife beside him and the fingerprints were from Pablo, the other day the police officer accused him.

The court sentenced the defendant to ten years in prison.

> JUAN BAUTISTA GIMENEZ One night two brothers were alone in the house. Kevin, the youngest, was in his room watching tv and Julian was playing with the playstation. The neighbours were watching them.

Julian was angry with his brother, Kevin always turned off the PS while Julian was playing.

One day, Kevin bothered Julian and he hit him. The neighbours saw them and they accused Julian, but he denied it. At 3 in the morning they heard a shout and the neighbours took a look. Kevin was dead so they grabbed Julian and called the police. The police know it was Julian because they found a video on his cell phone.

The next day they made the funeral, and Julian managed to escape from jail at age 30.

THE AFTERNOON MY BROTHER DIED > URIEL BELLO One afternoon the bell rang at Thoma´s house, there was a neighbour. Thomas let him pass. That afternoon Tomas was assassinated. Pablo, the brother, called the police and he told them that the neighbour killed Thomas.

The next day the police went to Pablo´s house and the police officer kept guarding the house all night. Until the police officer watched through the window that one person had a strange attitude.

19 THE ALMOST PERFECT ROBBERY > FACUNDO NISENSON One day in a bank something very troublesome occurred. A group of robbers got off the bench and in less than 5 minutes they took all the money. Then when the police arrived they asked all the people in the neighborhood if they had seen them (because the police knew who the thieves were). Then they realized there were thieves and explosions in a restaurant that morning the same day. They asked if they had seen the thieves showing them the pictures and the waitress from the restaurant (the only one who survived) said yes! that morning one of these men came to have a coffee.

Then a group of police officers surprised them but they also took hostages and escaped ahead, but they did not think well, they only did it quickly, because when they crossed the door they did not last thirty seconds. The shooting was so fast that almost nobody around cared for them.

And after that the police officers returned all the money to the bank and rewarded those who were hostages for going through those terrible moments.

A MOVIE AT NIGHT > BRUNO URIONA One night in a peaceful neighborhood of New York there was a boy, Matthew, he was watching the movie on the tv but suddenly he heard a noise on the first floor Suddenly a robber broke into his home wearily.

When Matthew knew they were robbing, he fled to the room but, he wanted to call the police well the phone was on the first floor Matthew walked slowly towards the phone, the thief looked at where Matthew was but he stayed down and the thief didn't see him and Matthew took advantage and grabbed the phone, he also called the police, but he fell down while he was running and they caught him, it was the neighbor who tried to steal him since he owed a lot of money that he won gambling in casinos.

THE FALSE NEIGHBOR > ANTONELLA LORENZO One night at the Thompson’s home, the family was getting ready for dinner. Until they heard a knock coming from their door, it was a person dressed in black who had entered with a knife to steal, the family opposed, and the person murdered all the family.

The day after the murder, the neighbor Charlotte saw what happened and called the police, who arrived as quickly as possible and saw what happened. The policeman Louise asked her different questions about the Thompson’s family and who think was do the murderer and Charlotte said it was their guard James.

-Why do you think that? Louise asked him.

-Because I heard him speaking to someone yesterday and he said that "he could not bear the family anymore", Charlotte replied.

Louise called the detective Liam and told him what happened, Liam called the guard from Ms.Thompson's phone, James could not believe the family died. James came and Liam

already had two suspects, Charlotte and James. Liam told the two suspects that he was going to speak to each one. Charlotte, very angry, told him that he was fine.

First it was Charlotte’s turn, they asked her several questions and she answered sometimes confidently and sometimes nervous.Then it was James's turn, the same thing happened to him that Charlotte answered with some questions for sure and something nervous. Liam was very confused, so he decided to investigate the crime scene.

The next day Louise found Liam dead, Louise could not believe it, so he decided to investigate on his own, Louise found a knife, so he went to see if he found something. Louise found fingerprints on the knife, he investigated the suspects to find out whose fingerprint it was and they found that Charlotte had the same fingerprint as on the knife.

They had to go to court to decide if she was guilty or not, the judge decided to sentence her for what she did to 5 years in prison.The case was solved, what happened is that Charlotte robbed every house she could be able to sell what she stole from other people.

Five years later, Charlotte did not do that anymore and got a job near her home. Louise was looking for another assistant, to help him with other tasks. James went to the Thompson family's funeral and he decided to be the guardian of the other Thompson’s family members and they never had free days.

MY BROTHER AND HIS BULLY > ERICA CANAVIDES It was the morning and I was having the break alone at school. It was so noisy and the kids were running. I was using my phone and seeing videos on Youtube. Later, my best friend, Sofía, came with a scary face, she told me there was a boy bullying my brother. I worried when I heard it. I went where she told me. I saw a boy, Valentín, with my little brother, Luca. Sofía was right! The kid was bullying my brother and he was crying!

First of all, I tried to talk with Valentin and he didn't answer me. He was so angry

21 with me and my brother. Secondly, he hit Luca and I was surprised. He had a little bruise! I was an eyewitness of that.

I was so angry, I approached their teacher and I told her about Valentín. I accused him and I showed to the teacher the evidence, the little bruise on my brother’s arm.Then she didn’t call his parents but she called to the boy and he said that he did that because my brother didn’t want him the chocolate that he had. It was so immature for me.

Finally, Valentin apologized to my brother because Valen learned that he didn’t have to hit Luca again. My brother forgave him and the break finished with that. I went happy with Sofía to my class.

THE DOLL > EMMA PREISSLER One afternoon Lily and Nina were playing in the park of her village, Lily was 10 years old and Nina was 8 years old. They were sisters. They were playing in the swings so they left their dolls alone, after playing, Nina saw a kid stealing Lily’s doll, quickly she tried to recover the toy but it was too late, the kid was gone, she only could see the red shoes of the kid. Angry Nina went and told all to her sister, Lily when she ...the girls saw heard the notice was sad because the the kid with the stolen doll was her favorite. The Sisters red shoes giving looked out at the kid with red shoes in the the sealing doll park. Not too far, the girls saw the kid with to another girl. the red shoes giving the sealing doll to another girl. The sister confronted him and the little girl, Nina asked the child the reason for his actions, the kid told that day was the birthday of his sister, and his family could not buy a present, and he stole the doll for her sister. Nina and Lily realize the situation of the child and his sister. They decided to give the doll to the little girl and enjoyed the rest of the day playing with their new friends.

Science fiction

TEENS 3 Science fiction is a genre of fiction in which the stories often tell about science and technology of the future. It is important to note that science fiction has a relationship with the principles of science, these stories involve partially true-partially fictitious laws or theories of science.

El grupo de teens 3, adolescentes, escribió sobre historias de ciencia ficción, donde se puede ver involucrada la ciencia, tecnología futura, historias que pueden ser mitad reales y mitad ficticias.

Years ago, a man appeared in my garden while I was playing with my toys. His clothes were dirty and too boring, they were not colorful. He looked at me confused and said, "What are you doing in my house with these weird things?" I didn't understand anything and said, "I think you're confused." When I said that, he looked over. "I bought this house on July 7, 1818, kid." When I heard that, I was confused and I looked for my mother. "Sir, please wait here," I said before I got into my house. "Mom, a man in the garden says he owns our house," I told her, at first she didn't believe me, but she went to the garden anyway. To my surprise, when we arrived there wasn't anyone. We looked around the neighborhood but we didn't see anyone. My mom scolded me and we never talked about it again.

Nowadays I am still thinking that it was real, not only my imagination.

THE CAMP > VALENTIN CABRERA One day, a friend invited me to a camp and my parents let me go.I started to prepare my things for the camp. Already in the camp, we explored for a while with my friends until nightfall. At night, we stayed in the cabin.

During the day I played football with my friends and went to the lake. I liked that this camp was very comfortable but we heard very strange noises and we were very scared so we went to sleep.

On the day, I talked about this with my friends, we were very scared. The next day, at night, we saw something similar to a wolf and we decided to leave many lights next to us so that it didn’t come near. When the wolf was approaching, we turned on the lights and we shouted. The wolf got scared and it left. As the days passed, things didn't happen anymore and...This experience was very beautiful. I liked going back to the camp.

23 FIGHTING IN ANOTHER DIMENSION > LUCILA SALOMONE One day, two teenegers, Sam and Violet, were playing in Violet's house.They were best friends and they love playing video games. They were having a lot of fun because they were playing their favourite video game.

They played that game a lot of times, and they were talking that their wish was to fight with the boss in real life and gave him a beating.

Suddenly something strange happened with Violet’s computer, light rays started to go out from it! Then the teenergers appeared inside of Violet's computer on their favorite video game. A strange voice said to them that they have to defeat all the duels of the game to escape from the computer. They were afraid but they accepted it.

All the levels were easy for the children, but in the last level they had to defeat the final boss, a dragon. It was very big and strong, and the children didn’t hope that they could win. Fortunately, they knew some tricks about the game so they used them to win the boss and to escape from the computer.

Finally, they defeated the boss and they appeared in Violet's bedroom. All was in order like if nothing had happened: Violet’s mother was calling them to have dinner. They were very afraid about what happened, so they promised not to wish something like that again.

THE TOYS > VIOLETA NADIN VEGA Last year, there were three brothers, their names were Valentino, Thiago and Santino.

They were just only ten years old and they lived in The United States in their dad’s house. They loved to play together with their toys.

But one day, they were having dinner with their dad’s family and they saw a shooting star and at the same time and without knowing it, they wished to be their toys but it wasn’t as good as they expected. Then, they were in the bodies of their toys and they felt

everything that they did.

They were happy at times, but they also had to fight with the bad games, with a 3-headed monster, a fire-spitting dragon and many toys that were not good, so they wanted to become real boys again, too.

Later, a game told them that Thiago’s bear toy could help them, and it was a dangerous game and they were all hurt. However, they did not give importance.

Then, the bear told them, they have to fight with the sorceress who had a grudge against good toys, and they would become real guys again, and without hesitation they did it but, it was difficult.They didn’t have to listen because it poisoned their minds and made them have illusions of monsters that would kill and hurt them.

But with so much effort they were able to benefit the toys and the sorcerer was able to help them with his powers; he cast a spell on them and they quickly appeared on their beds, they also learned not to mistreat or hurt the toys.

24 THE WORLD OF TOMORROW > FACUNDO FANDIÑO One day in my house I was using the cellphone, but when I looked out through the window and I noticed there was an object in the sky. From that moment on, I was scared and I went out to investigate. In the garden, the object absorbed me and I appeared in an UFO. Inside the UFO, I saw people with big eyes; they were tall and they had big hands. I felt scared. I started walking the UFO and saw a teleporting machine but the people were there, I decided to fight with them. I took a stick and the fight started. When the battle finished, I saw the people’s faces and they were aliens.

I ran to the teleporter machine but I didn’t know how to use it. On the table, there was a handbook, I read the handbook and used the teleporter machine. When I used the machine this absorbed me and I went back to my home.

At my home, I told my parents that I would never go out of my house alone.

TRAVELLING THROUGH PARALLEL WORLDS > NICOLAS GALARZA On Wednesday two of the year 2015 in a laboratory in Washington DC, two scientists named Tiago and Lauty created a portal to parallel worlds to see if they were very different from their world or not. Five days later, the two scientists finished creating the portal, they turned on the portal and saw various worlds, in one there were dinosaurs, in other aliens, in other heroes and in other mutants.

But the portal started to fail, the portal began to create breaches in all worlds, the breach took the two scientists to a different world, Tiago fall in the world of dinosaurs and Lauty in the world of aliens, Tiago and Lauty had to go back to their world before one week the portal made worlds collide.

Tiago ran to a cave and slept in the cave, at noon left the cave to explore the

place to look for food and water, he found a tree of apples, he ate the apple and drank the water of the river, Tiago came back to the cave, the next day Tiago began to create his weapons. One day later Tiago remembered that a breach took Him to this world, Tiago decided to look for the breach.

Lauty was in a forest, Lauty saw a house, he went to the house, lauty went to slept in his house, lauty woke up ...he went to because he listened a noise, he went to the the kitchen and kitchen and saw a big alien, carefully lauty saw a big alien went to the room, escaped and ran to the forest, two days later lauty decided to look for the breach.

There were Five minutes until the portal destroyed everything. Lauty and Tiago appeared in the laboratory next to the portal and they Turned it off and the breaches disappeared and everything returned to normal, Lauty and Tiago destroyed the portal.

In the year 2019, one ship was destroyed by an explosion, and a group of scientists passed through the remains of the ship, and they found corpses, humans, and maybe Aliens, they thought one of the scientists discovered something impressive, hundreds of large eggs, seemed to be opened. But there was one that was not opened, and had a different colour tone from the others. The others were dark green, this one was beige.

They took it away so they could analyse it at their space station, called Hipolita 096, they specialized on the investigation of new materials and life in space. Upon entering the station, the first thing they did was to put the specimen in a quarantine zone where it could be inspected and seen without danger.

After 3 days, the egg opened and inside of it there was an unknown creature.“The creature was big enough to be a baby,” they said. He threw himself on the ground to sleep. The scientists came in and gave it tranquilizers in case it became aggressive.

They took him to somewhere and analyzed it to find out what he was made of. Then, the scientists discovered that he was half hybrid of human and half an alien.

But the alien, already adult, in the year 2022, knew something beyond his birth. He knew that they, the scientists, were good people, but he also knew that the other part of his blood was more aggressive, the darker side. Everyone knew what those xenomorphs were about. He knew that independent or not, he had to defend his own, from something worse, other creatures. He was as strong as a God, an a creature that came to save us, like a messiah. But what they did not know was that once he defeated other species, he would rise up against his allies.

For that moment, he was our leader.

Our destroyer. It was conceived by other species such as, the destroyer of worlds, a character with unique abilities.

I take my little brother to the beach. We are in Pinamar with my family. Now they are at home but Simón and I stay at the beach.

It is a sunny and beautiful day. Suddenly, I can't find him, Simon is not here. I am very scared because my parents are going to get angry with me.

I look for him everywhere, I am trying to find him, but I can`t. I am desperate. I tell the lifeguard. Suddenly, I listen to some people clapping.

Fortunately, I see Simon among the people. I run towards him. I am going to give him a very big hug.

We decide to return home. I am going to tell my family what happened and Simon promised me that he will not go alone again.

Ari meets a girl, Julia, and he falls in love with her. She's in love too. Later on, they start dating.

At the beginning of the relationship, he starts to have obsessive attitudes with her, she realizes this and as a result of that, the environment is difficult for them. She doesn't trust him and she's scared. To be honest, they don't know each other anymore, the situation is a complete mess, so they split up, but he insists on coming back, he doesn´t understand the situation.

He calls her, she takes the call. He says: ‘’I miss you, I'm sorry for this, let's go back to the beginning’’, she says: ‘’I understand that, but this situation is not okay, I'm scared, we must know things are bad in the relationship, we have to think about us, coming back is not a good idea.’’ He listens to her, but his insistence with this situation forces him to make a desperate decision…

It’s a rainy day. After that he looks for her in her house, he touches the doorbell. She runs toward the door very quickly..she opens the door... (*heartbeats intensify*)... their eyes meet at this moment.

They know each other’s situation, he insists on and says sorry, she says the same words when they talk on the telephone. She also says about the mistakes that they have in their relationship, they must split up. He understands and goes home…

28 A CRAZY AFTERNOON > CAMILA AYALA I join my friends to spend the afternoon. One of my friends argues on the street with a man who is apparently drunk. When my friend and this man argue, for reasons that I do not know, the man says something out of bounds and my friend tells him to leave.

The man left, but he went back shortly after (ďŹ ve minutes) with another person. My friends and I go running with fear, as they threaten to hit us.

Finally, after running several blocks, and losing sight of them, we get really tired and decide to go into the house. One of my friends calls his parents to show them that the situation is under control.

THE PLANET EARTH > MICAELA SUEIRO The planet Earth is being affected by the consequences of the human being. Today, Cordoba is burning. That is because we are without resources, animals and without collective consciousness.

We are in the worst climate situation and ecological collapse. Unfortunately, covid-19 came from the illegal trade of animals that spread disease and from human irresponsibility.

Previously, we needed collective awareness and to change old patterns. We are the generation, we have and we must make the change. The Earth and the world needs us, because we live and breathe thanks to it. We must stop eating animals, take care of the land, generate discernment, nourish the mind, learn to plant, not only a garden. We also can plant habitual food, such as corn and woody fruit trees. We must generate the habit. We can make groups of collective consciousness.

Finally, we must reduce the consumption of plastic and animals. We are all part of it and we must take care of the earth.

This is the anecdote we are living and we must change.

29 A STRANGER IN THE NIGHT > JOHANNA J. CARRARINI I am with my boyfriend and my dog in the car. It’s 3 A.M and we are coming back from Santa Teresita. The route is very crowded, so we look for an alternative route on the GPS. We start the journey. The route is ok but twenty minutes later it becomes very dark and muddy. We travel ...the man is very alone all the time until we find a car strange and we stuck in the mud.

This car is blocking are alone in the the way and we can't move forward, so we middle of a field. stop. The driver of the car is alone and he asks for our help. We are afraid because the man is very strange and we are alone in the middle of a corn field. The man asks my boyfriend to get in his car and he tries to accelerate. At the same time, this man tries to push his car. The car doesn’t move so we notice it has a broken wheel. We try to call a tow truck but there isn't a signal. My dog is furious and I try to calm it.

After 2 hours, a truck appears and manages to move the car aside. So we can continue with very caution.

After a long, horrible and dangerous road. We can find the route that we avoid.

We are finally at home. We don't want to take that road again.

One stormy night, Captain Van Buren was determined to make a covenant with the God of the seas called Poseidon. At that time, the only thing this captain cared about was to have the fastest ship of all, so that he could reach port in a matter of hours.

There was a night in which the captain was in his room, drinking and smoking his pipe like every night, when suddenly huge waves threatened to destroy the boat. Without any choice, the captain went to the bow of the ship and knelt before the God of the sea, Poseidon. He himself listened to Van Buren's prayers and offered him to sail safely and be the fastest of all. In return, the captain will have to give the life of his crew. 31 EXCALIBUR THE LEGEND > CARINA SOSA > ALEJANDRA SEGURA According to the legend, we wanted to tell you about the story about a sword named Excalibur. The sword had extraordinary powers, but it only responded to its owner and was embedded in a stone.

King Uther of England was assassinated by his envious brother Vortingern, who took the power of the kingdom. Arthur, the son of King Uther, was kidnapped as a baby and sent to the most dangerous area of the city.

Only the prince could remove Excalibur from that rock, which was discovered when the water of the Camelot canal retracted. A lot of warriors and brave men tried to take possession of it because whoever owned it could become the new king.

Prince Arthur grew up with Spartan education, away from the comfort and the

richness of his castle, with his new family.

Although the prince was Excalibur’s owner, he couldn't dominate his power; he was not prepared for it. His immature mindset made the sword reject him.

After a long time, Arthur understood his fate and he joined a group of rebels who wanted to help him.These rebels didn't want King Uther. Arthur could banish his despot uncle and won different battles against the dark royal army. He wanted his people to be free.

Finally, Arthur, with the power of the sword, was able to defeat his miserable uncle.

Once Arthur was proclaimed as the true King of Camelot, in gratitude, he declared them knights of the round table, without differences, or hierarchies, to help him reign under the principles of freedom, equality and equity.

32 EL NAHUELITO - BARILOCHE > GABRIEL SALDÍAS The legend of Nahuelito or "El Cuero" begins in 1897 in the region of Nahuel Huapi in Rio Negro, Argentina, when the Dr. Clemente Onelli starts to receive news about a strange creature who had been seen in the patagonian lakes.

Among the people of the region it is common to hear about this creature. They say that the monster only goes out at night. He is bigger than a cow and his footprints are like those of a giant duck.

The first sighting is from 1910. George Garret worked in a company near Nahuel Huapi.

One day, he was swimming in the lake when at 400mt he saw a creature, whose visible part was between 5 and 7 metres long.

When he told the story to the native people, he learnt about similar stories from the local people. Later in 1922, the sighting was public when the Toronto Globe diary told the story of a giant creature in Bariloche. The press around the world was eager to find him, so the first expedition was organized, but it had negative results.

Most recently in 1960, the Argentinian Army followed a strange submarine object for 18 days, without getting info about it. Finally, in 1988, we got the first photo of Nahuelito. It was taken with an analog camera, near the coast of Bariloche. The unknown man who took the photo said: "It is not a log of capricious shapes. It is not a wave. Nahuelito showed his face".

Many theories were created around this creature: Some people say he is a prehistoric animal, a survivor of the dinosaurs era, probably a plesiosaurus. Others say that the monster seems to be a strange mutation of some local animal produced by the nuclear experiments that have been carried out uninterruptedly for 60 years.

More sceptical people say that it is only a little submarine. Anyway, no theory was proven yet.

33 IGUAZU FALLS LEGEND > CARLA NOTO > ANA LAURA LÓPEZ Many years ago, in the Iguazu river, Misiones, the guaranies, native people from Argentina, had a ritual. This ritual was about a big snake that lived in the river. Its name was Boi. Once a year, the Indian community offered a sacrifice for the snake. They threw a woman to the river to feed him. In this ritual all the local tribes got together. Taroba, the Chief of one tribe, was a strong, brave, and noble man.

One day he saw the young girl who was going to be sacrificed that year and he immediately fell in love. So Taroba tried to do everything possible to change people's minds. He said that she wasn´t the right one for the sacrifice but the Indian tribe told him that the decision was taken, so the special woman would die. Taroba´s heart was broken.

The name of this pretty woman was Naipi. She was sweet and with long and shiny hair. She was also in love with Taroba so, after thinking about it a lot, they decided to escape.

The night before the ritual, they took a canoe and started to navigate on the Iguazu river. They were living the most important moment of their lives, so they swore eternal love below the moon. But they didn’t imagine what was going to happen.

Boi, the big snake, was very angry and it couldn´t accept this. So, it caught them, turning Taoba into a big tree and below of this tree, if you pay attention to the waterfalls, you could see Naipi´s hair.

Boi swam across ‘La garganta del Diablo’ swearing that this couple never would never be together again and then it disappeared forever.

Nowadays people say that when a rainbow appears is because they are together enjoying their love.

A DISAPPOINTING LOVE STORY IN PANDEMIC > MIRTA FOTIA It was an autumn day when Joseph and Katy were in a hotel in Rome, Italy. They didn't need luxury to be happy. They took pleasure together, they seemed to be happy together and they didn't look back with anger. Suddenly, the pandemic surprised them and they had to return and be together before the situation got complicated: if the airport closed, they couldn't come back.

As soon as the night came, Katy decided not to come back to Argentina. Joseph wanted to do it. Why? Perhaps someone was waiting for him. Who was that person? Four hours later Joseph took the flight 505 to Bs As. Meanwhile, Katy stayed in Rome, alone and sad. They didn´t know if they would see each other again.

After a week, she thought a lot about what she was going to do. She felt lonely, anxious and desperate, so she decided to take a flight to Buenos Aires. Unfortunately, the government had decided to do that in order to prevent the virus, covid 19, circulation. She asked her mother for help, to her friends.Nobody could help her. The situation got worse.

“If the circulation of the virus increases, I will not be able to leave Italy” she thought.

While she was walking to the hotel, her italian friend, Filippo was waiting for her with a ticket in his hand. Katy was fortunate. The dream of meeting Joseph was near. After all, she could travel. During the journey she thought about the moment when she would meet Joseph .She thought about that moment, she didn't want to lose the love of her life.

Finally, she arrived in Argentina. She was fearful about the situation and she felt more and more anguish. She didn't know how she had arrived at 343 Mexico Street. With great expectation, she knocked on the door. Suddenly, who opened the door was a 6-year-old girl.

A LOVE STORY > MILAGROS AIETA I was in my ofďŹ ce when I got a call from the Airline saying there was a last minute flight. I am a stewardess, oh and I am Vanessa, I am twenty years old. Then, I got a call from my parents reminding me of the costume party I had to attend that night, to which people of very high level would go. I took my important things like my cell phone and my agenda and went to my airline.

After the flight, I got home very tired but I took a shower and put on my angel costume to go to the party. My parents also wanted to introduce me to the son of some friends, who was a businessman and travelled like me. They always care more about me dating someone on my level than my happiness. I refused to talk to that boy. I never cared what my parents said. They were good people and they helped me a lot, but if it was connected to business, they didn't care about anything or anyone, just looking good.

The party was private, not only because of the level, but also because they had a conflict with a family: they had had problems with them and they were also poor, of course.

I was frozen by everything he told me and I couldn't believe my parents were like that just because his family was humble. Our relatives were partners, but as my grandparents did not agree with them, they moved.

It was Christmas’ time, she heard Mr. Rochester's voice calling her name.The following day, she decided to travel back to Thornfield and discovered a “blackened ruin”: the house had burnt down. She learnt that Mr. Rochester's mad wife started the fire and then killed herself by jumping from the roof. Mr.Rochester rescued Adele and the servants but lost a hand and his eyesight in the fire. By then, he lived in a country house called Ferndean.

Going to Ferndean, Jane found Mr. Rochester. Although he was afraid that Jane would not want to marry a blind cripple, he asked her once again to marry him. She accepted immediately. After a few years of marriage, Mr. Rochester recovered his sight from one eye, and when their first baby was born, he was able to see his son.

JEFF THE KILLER > FACUNDO AGUIAR (Teens) After weeks of murders, James, the detective, decided to investigate the murders in the forest.

He used to have a partner who was a detective, too but unfortunately, he was murdered while he was investigating a boy who murdered people. During the investigation, he was killed and James' theory was that the same killer was the one who killed his friend and the one who had committed all the other crimes in the forest.

James went where the police found his friend's body mutilated, but when he got into the house he heard the door closed behind him.

He looked back and saw a boy with white skin and a knife with blood. The killer looked at James, he smiled and said: “Go to sleep”.

41 15 RUFINA > LAUTARO ARRISCAL (Teens) Last month, I had a paranormal situation. I was walking around the Recoleta Cemetery when I saw a pretty woman with a white dress. I invited her for a coffee, she surprisingly accepted and we talked a lot.

Her name was Rufina Cambaceres. She was a 19-year-old girl who lived near the cemetery. We finished the coffee and we went to the bus stop. She was cold so I gave her my jacket. Then, I took the bus to my house.

Next morning I got up and turned on the TV. I was pale when I saw the title in the News “Coffin was found open in the Recoleta cemetery”. The coffin was from Rufina Cambaceres and the only clue about the thief was a jacket, my jacket.

ONE MORE VICTIM OF THE LADY IN WHITE > ABRIL FANDIÑO (Teens) Alejo, a seventeen-year-old boy, liked to tell horror stories to people and didn't fear spirits. He always walked on the streets of Vicente Lopez to arrive at school every day.

One day, on a corner of Vicente Lopez he saw a girl. She was so cute that he felt very nervous and got away from there. Next day, he passed by again and this time, she asked him if he wanted to have a coffee with her in the afternoon but he must pick her up at her house. He accepted with a super smile. Later, he went to her house and her mother received him very surprised. He asked her about her daughter and she told him that her daughter had died from leukaemia. She was in the Recoleta cemetery.

In the end, he believed the lady. He ran home with fear and decided that he would never tell horror stories again and he wouldn’t pass by that street in his life.

I was running when I saw my grandma's house, so I ran faster and I opened the door. I started to call my grandma, who was upstairs.

She came to me and she asked me what was going on, and I told her everything and how afraid I was.

My mother told me that where she lived, my grandfather's friend was the seventh child of a family of farmers. They lived not far from my mother's farm. She told me she could see her turned into a Lobizon. Many times she would go to my mother's farm to scare the animals, she even killed pigs and cows.

When I was young, I used to visit my family in Corrientes, Argentina. I remember that I used to talk with my grandma in the middle of the night about a famous legend there, The Pombero. This was always a legend that I loved because one part of me didn’t believe in that, so I just had fun listening to it. I grew up knowing that The Pombero was an elf which was really bad when people annoyed him. Old people would say that The Pombero mostly appeared in the afternoon or in the middle of the night, when everyone was sleeping. If you don’t and you are playing outside by that time, he would kidnap you and kill you, or just make you live a bad moment.

At the age of 13, I visited my family in Corrientes. One day I went to my friend’s house, it was getting late so I had to come back to my grandma's house. I was walking alone when I noticed there wasn’t much light on the street so I was a little scared. I focused on walking

Martina’s mother had died when she was born but nobody knew that she was a witch and that Martina had inherited her powers. Her last words were that a man, without a face and with a red tie, would protect her.

Three years later, Lautaro, her father, started to have problems with drugs and alcohol. Therefore, Martina felt alone but her angel called Slenderman played with her all the time, every day.

At the age of seven, Martina told her father about Slenderman but he didn’t believe her because he thought it was a game. He got angry and shouted, "YOU ARE CRAZY LIKE YOUR MOTHER!" After that, Martina cried for hours in her room.

The little girl thought she was crazy until her sixteenth birthday. Slenderman took her to the forest where he gave her a present.

He took his scarf off her eyes and she saw her mother. He told her that her mother was a witch and she was one, too. Martina could not believe what had happened so she told everything to her only friend, Georgina, who reported her to the police.

Finally, the police burned her in front of all the people. Her ashes turned into sunflowers because she was a person without evil.

Her last words were that a man, without a face and with a red tie, would protect her.

were having a great time, but suddenly, while they were playing the wind closed the window and the glass broke.

The night after playing the game, the girls started to see shadows in their dreams and out of them. Two of the girls became so paranoid because of it that they had to be taken to a mental hospital. The third girl went to see spiritists and mediums to put an end on the matter but nothing was working. Until one night in her dreams, her late friend appeared and told her that the only way to end everything was giving the spirit something that they value. The following night, she opened the window. She took a bracelet, at the exact same that the three had, and...while put it inthey the glass with a paper with their names written on it.

In playing the morning, she woke up without were the nightmares and she thought all it was over when she got the news that her two friends had died. wind closed the

window and the glass broke.

> CHIARA CIMINO Dakota woke up in a good mood the morning after moving away from her abusive and violent father. She went to the kitchen and had breakfast with her mother, Chelsea. It was the first time in a while that both were happy.

Dakota was unpacking when she found her medicine. It was given to her due to some nightmares, where Dakota could see herself as another person, a more aggressive one, called Madison. After ten years of taking the pills she had never dreamt about Maddison again. But the previous night, she forgot to take them, and she did not have any bad dreams, so Dakota decided to stop the treatment. Extremely proud of herself, she threw the medicine away and she continued with her day.

For the following two weeks everything was okay, until Monday. Dakota was lying on the bed scared because she had a nightmare where she was holding a knife with her left hand. When she calmed herself, she took her phone and checked the time. It was nine o’clock. her mother was going to work in half an hour, so she decided to make a special breakfast for her. Dakota walked into the kitchen where she found the dead body of her mother on the floor. She was shocked. The young girl fell on the floor next to her mother. She was weeping. Dakota tried to hug her mother when she saw a message written in blood right next to the corpse. It said, “you are not as good as you think”. At that moment she knew that someone was trying to incriminate her, so calling the police was not an option. Dakota carried her mother's body into the backyard and started digging a grave with a shovel. By the time she finished with the burial and the cleaning, it was late, and she was quite tired, so Dakota went to bed wishing that when she woke up everything would be normal again. KATHERINE HADLEY’S STORY > NAZARENA ROLANDO At last the weekend had arrived and Katherine was both nervous and excited, after all, she was going to see her family again. Last year Katherine went to Japan because of a scholarship, and since she finished her studies, she has been traveling without stopping. So she hadn’t seen her family for a year. Actually, Katherine didn’t have a very good relationship with her parents, but she loved her older brother and knew that if she wanted to spend time with him she would have to spend time with her family as well.

THE NIGHTINGALE’S GRACE > MARIA MORENA URIONA It was winter the last time I went out into the backyard. I remembered I was with my mom and sister, looking at the night sky, admiring the stars and the shimmering moon.

I wish I had enjoyed it more, if I had just known that it was going to be my last moment of freedom, I would have taken one last breath of fresh air, and hugged my family very tightly and never let them go.

Winter was about to finish but, the icy breeze made us tremble the same. Before we went to the great lighthouse of knowledge, mom gave us two big jackets so as not to be cold. We placed it on our albino and neat uniform and set out on our journey to the lighthouse. A few days later, the baby was born and he was called Jesus.

When Jesus was only five years old, he made some figures of birds with mud, he sent them to fly and the figures came to life. Eventually, Jesus grew up, when he was twelve he was sent to study with masters but all the masters told Joseph: "I can't teach this kid, he knows more than I. Where does he come from? It is undeniable that COVID-19 has changed our life, our plans, our routine... it has changed us. The world seems a different place now. For good? Or for bad? Can you answer those questions? Our students from CAE are going to speak their minds... Do you agree?

Es innegable que el COVID-19 ha cambiado nuestras vidas, nuestros planes, nuestra rutina… nos ha cambiado a nosotros. El mundo parece un lugar distinto ahora ¿Para bien? ¿Para mal? Nuestras alumnas cursando el CAE van a dar su franca opinión ¿Están de acuerdo? > MAIA AICARDI Autumn was beginning when the President had declared the COVID-19 outbreak to be a public health emergency in Argentina, I remember that he said that we had an opportunity to provide the hospitals with health resources.

At first, I was terrified by the idea of being separated from my beloved ones, but it was not as bad as I thought it would be. Before the pandemic, my routine was intended to change anyway because I was going to start the university and a new job. Fortunately, it would have been possible due to technology devices and virtual platforms.

Eventually, I have become used to this new modality of education such as zoom meetings or classroom. Although, I still miss my grandparents and I feel that a video call is not enough for us. It is necessary to respect the quarantine in order to keep aged people safe from the COVID-19.

My first year at University did not turn out as I expected but at least I learned new things and I was able to overcome many difficult situations. Be safe at home after a long time is challenging but it is not going to last forever.

CHANGES DURING COVID-19 > CAMILA HENDERSON My life has completely changed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I mean, whose life hasn’t, right? Our day-to-day doesn’t look the same way it did just at the beginning of the year. But really, how much has it affected our lives?

Personally, one of the biggest changes for me this year is the way I can’t make plans for anything no more, and that most plans I had for this year had vanished or been altered.

Another drawback is that almost everything happens through a zoom call. Whether we are talking about college classes, birthday celebrations, the announcing of important news, and even parties! I almost forgot how it was to go out with my friends, or to spend the afternoon on the park with my sisters sitting on the grass with no real problems like the one we are facing right now.

Although, I must say that this experience brought something good to my life, starting with having the chance to spend more time with my family, I also now can properly focus on my first year of university, and lastly, I have learnt to live more in the moment! I also learnt how to cook, which made my entire family (including myself) gain weight… but we are not talking about it!

Overall, while this entire situation was so unexpected and has no precedents, it may be said that all of us can take something good out of this and turn it into our favor.
