December 1

To the Beastiest Bunnies,

In the month of November, Division 19 South Key Club brought over 400 attendees to Fall Rally South! While we may not have won the Spirit Stick, we enjoyed a day filled with food, fun, and friends. But most astonishingly of all, is that Division 19 South has currently raised over $5,000 for PTP.

We are only half way to our goal of $10,000 for PTP. While we may not have won the spirit stick, we have completed our family. All inactive clubs are now active and represented at DCMs. 9 months have passed. We have accomplished much in this term. Division 19 South has completed 10,153 Hours of service. This is a number to be proud. Superstar is what you are. I am proud to serve as the Lieutenant Governor of Division 19 South, and I would like to say thank you for all the love and support. Sadly our term is coming to an end, and it’s almost time to elect a new Lieutenant Governor. If you are interested in running for the position, please contact me. Thank you all for making this term a blast. Creating Change One Hop at a Time,

Xuexing Ong

Club Reports

North Before sunrise, Key Clubbers from North High and other schools gathered together to help volunteer at the annual Hermosa Beach Triathlon on October 18. At 5 am we separated into numerous groups to help. Then we were sent to different locations to either direct or cheer on participants. Besides these tasks, other members handed out water to participants and helped dissemble equipment when the event was finished. Although it was a cloudy morning, the sun came out to surprise us. We finished with bright smiles and a job well done. – Katie Son (North) 4

Four members of Carson Key Club helped out at the American Heart Association tent at Kevin’s Cause Annual 5k Run/Walk at Victoria Park. It was our job to pass out flyers about cardiovascular and heart health to the attendees at the health fair after the 5k. Many attendees were fascinated by the information that was given to them and very much appreciated us getting involved with the community. There were also many freebies like frozen yogurt at the event so we definitely enjoyed that part of the event. Overall, volunteering with the AHA was an enjoyable experience that we’d love to do again. – Vanessa Bugarin (Carson)

Carson Carson Key Club helped out by putting up posters around the carnival that was Halloween themed. After that, we helped out at the arts and crafts section where we helped makes bags of coloring books with candy in it. Our members also helped distribute the materials the kids would need for their art while also explaining to them what to do. We also helped clean up at trash that was left behind by people after they finished their artwork. The event was really fun and it was nice to help the kids of Carson City have an even more enjoyable Halloween. – Jannely Nunez (Carson)

November DCM

7

November was a busy month for Division 19 South. As Fall Rally South came closer, Lieutenant Governor Xuexing Ong hosted a monthly division council meeting where bunnies from all over the division gathered at Wilson Park to go over and learn the cheers that they’d be using at Fall Rally. Before the cheers were actually taught, roll call was taken and an icebreaker was played to get the members comfortable with eachother. After the icebreaker, members were given some time to eat snacks provided by Xuexing himself. Right after the snack break, members were split into groups and spirit leaders worked together to teach the cheers. It wasn’t long until Division 19 South was chanting and saying cheers in unison. Before the DCM ended, cheers were gone over one last time. A spirit battle between the division even occurred. November DCM was a blast and it’s exciting to see the spirit that these bunnies have.

Editor’s Message

Hellooo! November is over and I hope that those who attended Fall Rally had the time of their lives. Even though we had a rough time at our session, you guys still showed lots of spirit throughout the rest of the day. It was amazing seeing you all in your hot pink shirts and smiles on your faces. Even though Fall Rally is over, we can’t forget what Key Club was meant for: service! And with CTC and Conclave approaching quickly and DCON to follow, theres still so much Key Club has to offer. Stay warm and happy holidays to you all! Thank you for reading this issue, I’ll see you in the next one 
