C•h•i•c•a•n•a•M•a•m•a I paint from my past, mi cultura, mi feminismo. I use color to shock with representations of MOVEMENT, MUSIC, the SENSUAL and the FEMININE form to celebrate life in my paintings ...a way to explicitly express joy and experience the danger in living. I have discovered the connection between art and illness. The desire and ability to express myself without words has been a profound help in dealing with two autoimmune diseases. Uso el color como impacto, representar MOVIMEINTO, MÚSICA, la forma SENSUAL y FEMENINA para celebra la vida en mi obra… para expresar, sin tapujos, el goce y la experiencia del peligro de vivir. He descubierto la conexión entre el arte y la enfermedad. El deseo y capacidad de expresarme sin palabras me han sido de inmensa ayuda para enfrentar dos males autoinmunes.
