Q-Pop Co-owner Maleerat (Miki) Panteepo タイ出身。タイで自身のビジネスを成功させ、13年前にM&Aを経験する。後にMBA取得の ために渡米し、National UniversityでMBAを取得。 アメリカでビジネスを学ぶ為バーテンダ ーとして働き、 ご主人のクリスさんに出会ったことをきっかけに現在のビジネスをスタート させる。カルチャーショップQ-Popの経営部分を担当し、2店舗の運営及びオンラインショッ プのマネージメント、 アートギャラリーの企画など多忙な日々を過ごすビジネスウーマン。

お店をオープンされてどのくらいになるのですか？ 1号店はオープンして4年くらい経ちますが、2号店のQ2は去 年の11月にオープンしたばかりです。 アートショーをするため にもっと広い場所が欲しかったというのが2号店目をオープン するきっかけだったので、現在も主にギャラリーとして使用して います。以前1号店でセーラームーンのショーをした時は1,500 人も集まってくれたのですが、行列になってしまい大変でした。

How was the photoshoot for JPy magazine?

I loved shooting with JPy Magazine. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! It’s a pleasure working with genuine people who love what they do.

Q2 What is your favorite taste in fashion? Do you have a favorite brand?

My favorite style is simplicity with a little flare to it. I typically wear neutral colors, but I like to make sure that it’s still alluring. Some of my favorite brands are Acne, Comme des Garcons and Ueg. share with us what you love about LA! Where is Q3 Please your favorite spot in LA? I love the city at night. I often find buildings with rooftops and just sit up there for hours.

What are you doing on the weekend?

On the weekends I like to hangout with my friends and go out dancing. I love music so much and I take any excuse to go out and see bands perform!

made you start your Instagram? What is the most Q5 What enjoyable part of social-networking like Instagram or Facebook?

I created my Instagram when I was still in high school. Back then I didn’t think much of it, but now I use it every day. It’s such a great platform for me to express myself as an individual and share my work. My followers get to see photos from my shoots and what I do in my spare time. I think it’s such a fun and smart way of marketing and branding myself.

Q6 What are your goals in life?

My goals are to live and work internationally. I want to experience different types of life and see every inch of the world. After I’m done traveling, I want to start my own clothing line based on my experiences.

Q2 どんなファッションが好き？好きなブランドは？

シンプルだけど少しフレアが加わったようなスタイルがお気 に入り。ニュートラルな色を選ぶことが多いけれど、魅力的 と思うものは直感。ブランドはAcneやComme des Garcons、 あとUegも好き。

Q3 LAの好きなところを教えて下さい。お気に入りの場所は？

夜のロスの街が大好き。屋上のあるビルを見つけてそこに何 時間も座って過ごしたりするの。

Q4 週末は何をして過ごしているの？

週末は友達と一緒にクラブに行ったり、音楽が大好きなので、 時間がある時はバンドのライブを見に行ったりもするわ。

Q5 どうしてInstagramを始めたの？SNSのどんなところが楽しい？

高校生の頃にインスタグラムのアカウントを作ったの。当時 は頻繁にはアップしていなかったんだけど今は毎日！自分を 表現したり、活動をシェアしたりできる素晴らしい空間だと 思う。フォローしてくれれば、撮影現場やプライベートの写 真なんかも見れるわよ。インスタグラムはやっていて楽しい し、とても賢い自分マーケティングの方法だと思う！

Q6 人生の目標を教えて下さい。

グローバルな活動をすることが目標。色々な国に行って、様 々な経験をしてみたいの。世界中を旅したら、その経験を活 かして洋服のブランドを立ち上げたい！

Natural U Yoga is a fun Yoga Class conducted in Japanese, wishing everyone in Los Angeles to become naturally beautiful. In addition to the regular classes, I conduct Yoga and detox tours in Sedona and host earthfriendly yoga and food events. Through events and Yoga, I hope to help my students by providing space and valuable time to reflect on themselves.

So is it true that this class is friendly to beginners?

Yes it’s true! In fact 80% of the class consists of beginners. At the beginning, everyone is worried that they are not flexible enough but at the end of the class they are amazed by how great they feel! They all tell me that their bodies feel stretched and lighter.

Most people keep coming back once they experience how good it feels.

What makes your yoga class so unique?

Natural U Yoga hopes for the discovery of individuality and free-thinking. So for people to relax and to feel free and positive, I play Reggae music and create steps for each pose so people can experience the feeling of achievement. The studio is not too big so the plus side is that I can see everyone and talk to them individually. You’ll feel at home and I will always offer a space where you can concentrate and feel comfortable.

Can I go alone? What kind of classes do you have?

Of course! Right now I theach “Relaxing morning Yoga” classes on Saturdays. This class involves the

traditional Hatha Yoga (Mathod of slowly synchronizing body movement and breathing) as the base however I also combine power yoga (for the muscles) which is very effective for losing weight. By adding power yoga, this class is effective for both physical and mental health.

[Directions] 1. Put the kuzuko and millet sugar in a pot and use a wooden spatula to mix (Picture 1 and 2).

2. Add the water slowly and mix until the lumps dissolve.

Once the mixture is smooth, put it on medium heat (Picture 3).

3. Use a wooden spatula and mix while heating the pot. When the mixture turns light brown and into a jelly-like texture, turn the heat down low and mix very well and gather the mixture in one (Picture 4).

4. Lightly wet a container and place the mixture. Put some ice and water in a tray and place the container with the mixture.

5. Once the mixture turns solid and firm, cut it to any size you like. Serve with brown sugar syrup and soy powder to your liking.

[Ingredients] Syungiku, Asparagus, Pumpkin, Gobo, Turnip、 Renkon： As you like Plain Soymilk : 35ml Olive Oil : ½ Table Spoon Whole Wheat Flour : 10g Salt Pumpkin Seeds : ¼ Cup Lemon Jiuce : 1 Tea Spoon Pizza Dough : As you like ［材料］ 春菊、 アスパラガス、 かぼちゃ、 ごぼう、 かぶ、 れんこん : 適量 無調整豆乳 : 35ml オリーブオイル : 大さじ ½ 全粒薄力粉 : 10g 塩 かぼちゃの種 : ¼ カップ レモン汁 : 小さじ１ ピザ生地 : 適量

［材料］ 15cm x 15cm の容器1個分

くず粉 : ⅔ カップ きび砂糖 : ½ カップ 水 : 1 ½ カップ 牛乳 : 45ml 黒蜜 : 小さじ1 きな粉 : 小さじ1 ［作り方］ 1. 鍋にくず粉ときび砂糖を入れて、 木べらでざっと混ぜる。 （写真①、 ②） 2. 水を少しずつ加え、だまがなく なるまで混ぜる。 だまがなくなった ら、 中火にかける。 （写真③） 3. 木べらでかき混ぜながら加熱 し、薄茶色のゼリー状になってきた ら弱火にしてよく練る。 その後、 ゆっ くりと生地をひとまとめにする。 （写 真④） 4. 水で軽く濡らした容器に生地を入れ、氷と冷水をは ったバットに容器を重ねてのせる。 （写真⑤） 5. 冷やし固まったら、好みの大きさに切り分ける。 お好 みで、 きな粉と黒蜜をかける。

[Directions] 1. Mix 60g of butter, 30g of beet sugar, 1 egg yolk, 100g of flour and 30g of almond flour. Roll them out thinly and put it in a fridge.

2. Gently burn the beet sugar in a pot and turn off the heat. Add 5g of butter and a cut apple and turn the heat back on. After 2 minutes add rum.

3. Make a cream with 50g of butter, 50g of beet sugar, 1 egg yolk and 50g of almond butter and place it in the dough from step 1. Place apples in a circle on top and bake it in a 180℃ oven for 50 minutes.

• Depending on the thinness of the apples, they may burn while baking. In that case, place some aluminum foil to prevent burning.

• Coating the tart with jam(any jam that goes well with apples) with a little warm water will taste great.

[Directions] 1. Cut the shungiku, asparagus, pumpkin, gobo, turnip and lotus root to an appropriate size.

2. Make the soymilk Béchamel sauce. Put 11/2 tablespoon of olive oil and 10g of whole wheat flour and cook for about 3 minutes. Put 35ml of water and 35ml of plain soymilk and mix. When you start to see air bubbles, add ½ teaspoon of salt and turn the heat off.

3. Make the pumpkin seed sauce. Put ¼ cup of pumpkin seed, 20ml of water, teaspoon of lemon juice and a pinch of salt into a blender and mix well.

4. Spread pizza dough into a circle and brush on the sauce from step 1. Place the veggies and finally put some olive oil and the sauce from step 3 and bake in a 200℃ oven until golden brown.

• You can customize the pizza with any veggies you have in your fridge.

［作り方］ 1. 春菊、 アスパラガス、 かぼちゃ、 ごぼう、 かぶ、 れん こんを適量サイズにカットする。 2. 豆乳入りベシャメルソースをつくる。鍋にオリーブ オイル大さじ1/2と全粒薄力粉10gを入れて弱火で3 分ほど炒める。 その後、水35mlと無調整豆乳35mlを 入れて混ぜる。気泡がでてきたら塩小さじ1/2を入れ て火を止める。 3. かぼちゃの種のソースをつくる。 →かぼちゃ1/4カ ップ、水20ml、 レモン汁小さじ1、塩少々をミキサーに 入れて撹拌する。 4. ピザの生地を円形に広げ、2のソースを塗り、1の 野菜をのせ、最後にオリーブオイル適量と3のソース をのせて200℃のオープンで周りがきつね色になるま で焼く （約15分～20分）。 ・ピザの生地はホームベーカリーを使って時短で作 りました。 ・冷蔵庫にある野菜をちょっとずつ集めるとオリジナ ルのピザができます。

NAIL This time I have gel nails!

I had my nails done with white, pink and clear as a double French nail design. There is a gold line as an accent. There is a Swarovski on the ring finger and the opposite color use is the key! 今回のジェルネイル♡ 白とピンク、 クリアを上手く使ったダブ ルフレンチにしてもらいました。上から ゴールドのラインを塗りアクセントに。 薬指だけ、スワロを乗せて色も逆にして いるのがポイントです♡

After publishing our last spring/cherry blossom themed issue, I went home to Japan and had the opportunity to see real cherry blossoms. The difference between seeing a picture and the real cherry blossoms are not even comparable. Walking under the cherry blossoms made me truly happy.The real experience is always more valuable and although you cannot experience everything in life, I always wish to convey the beauties and experiences in life through the magazine and the website and share it with as many people as possible.
