Hi Key Clubbers! As I am writing for the first time in Key Club newsletter, I am happy to say that I am beyond excited to be your bulletin editor for the 2018-2019 term! I cannot wait to meet all the wonderful members in our club, including you since this year has tons in store for us! I want to applaud everyone for completing their finals and AP tests. Furthermore, I would like to briefly mention that since school is coming to an end, there are many service events coming up and there are many chances to serve and hang out with your friends simultaneously! Keep reading to see what has been happening this past month as well as new plans for the upcoming year. Sincerely, Katrina Do ♥

Aloha Monsters! This upcoming year, I am looking forward to connecting with members and making Key Club an incredible experience for your duration of high school! I want you, the members to be as excited about Key Club as I was when I first joined and I want them to enjoy their time here in Franklin Key Club. My number one goal is to help you guys, the members feel more included, involved, and connected with Key Club and I plan on doing this by having fun, interactive meetings where the officers will talk to the members. I also plan on having more service events and after meetings so we can increase our service hours and help the community. Let’s make this a great year! Your President, Emily Chau 4 4

At our first DCM for the term, we had DLT announcements, club updates, and dog toy making service project thereafter.

Katie thought the her first DCM was very interesting since there were many new people and the meeting itself was filled with laughs and jokes. “I really enjoyed myself since I got to know about the other clubs in the division and what was happening in the division itself. Courtney thought the May DCM was fun and interesting as well. She got to meet other presidents and board members within the division, and met our humorous LTG. We also got to meet some old generations of Kiwanis club, and overall the first DCM was very cool.

MEET YOUR Emily Chau / Pres

Hi I’m Emily, I’m a junior and I am your president! My favorite thing about Key Club is helping the community through volunteering because the community does so much for us so Key Club is a great way to give back and it helps us make new friends from our Key Club and other Key Clubs. A fun fact about me is that my favorite movie is Moana.

I like Key Club because it gives me the opportunity to positively impact my community through service while also training me for life after high school and allowing me to meet many new and diverse people. I like to make art and a fun fact about me is that my name can spell ‘VILE’ and ‘EVIL’. Vi Le / VP Andrea Lee / Secretary

I like Key Club because I can branch out of my comfort zone and connect with others from other Key Clubs in our division. I enjoy vocal at school and doing makeup.

I like Key Club because I like to serve the community and be a part of a family that is more than doing just community service. One thing I like to do is watch anime and hang out with friends.

Carmen Yu / Treasurer

Katrina Do / Bulletin Editor

What I enjoy most about Key Club is being able to volunteer for the community while hanging out with my friends as well as meeting new people from other schools. A surprising fact about me is I don’t really like chocolate. I enjoy watching TV shows and movies.
