The Industrial Museum's playground At the Industrial Museum in Horsens
Juelsminde Nature Playpark With a view over the small coastal town
The Great Escape At The Prison Museum in Horsens
The playground Mølleparken Odder’s green activity area
Inspired by the long industrial history of Horsens, this modern playground invites you to play in beautifully designed playground equipment. The big play tower is shaped as a gas tank – right here on the ground that once housed a gas factory. The tower is big enough to be explored from the inside, and from the top, at an altitude of seven metres, you can ride the long slide down. You’ll also find a steam engine, a seesaw shaped as the local Nimbus motorcycle as well as swings and an obstacle course.
In the scenic settings around Odelsbjerget near Juelsminde town centre, you’ll find a paradise for children and childish grownups. A plethora of playground equipment, facilities, tracks and challenges awaits. The varied activities mean that the children can play for hours while you relax, perhaps with a cup of coffee from the kiosk or a game of padel tennis at the playpark’s courts.
In the green areas outside of the old prison’s walls, children can play in a miniature edition of The Prison called “The Great Escape”. With hidden escape s ystems, jungle net, climbing wall and a swing set, this place has plenty of challenges for small adventurers. Combine your stay at the playground with a walk around the prison’s grounds, and maybe grab yourself a treat at the café Spisehuset 8F.
The playground Mølleparken by Andedammen (the duck pond) near Odder Museum offers both a green area and great playing facilities, such as swings, a climbing tower, a seesaw, a playhouse and tables and benches. Enjoy a picnic by the nearby creek, Odder Å, or spoil yourself with some coffee and cake from the museum’s café. Pure idyl!
