One of LACMA’s newest associates members has been successfully serving the Japanese, Asian, and international markets for the last 35 years. Yokohama System Mover started as a specialist in the overseas moving business in November 1976 –a time when the number of foreign workers living in Japan was limited to diplomatic representatives and top executives of international corporations. Yokohama System Mover, howev-

er, predicted a high demand for personnel exchange as a byproduct of the country’s rapid internationalization, and established an overseas agency network for helping foreigners in their moving logistics.
Yokohama System Mover opened offices in the U.S. and Southeast Asia in the 1980’s after strengthening its position as a pioneer in this field, and made a full-scale entry into North America, its largest overseas market.
