SUNROOM
POWDER ROOM
The Sunroom is an extension of the exterior landscape; a modern approach
The design of the Powder Room was heavily influenced by the historical nature and character of this 1905 Tudor home. Situated in a Greene and Greene-designed neighborhood, I felt compelled to embrace the Arts and Crafts movement by rejecting mass production and having each piece stand out as a work of art. One-of-a-kind pieces enrich the space: the custom vanity and mirror are embellished with extended box joints and mortise and tenon joinery along with blown glass sconces and a hand-painted ceiling. Adorning the masculine walls of Tudor style is a 1904 Vanity Fair cover of Marie Curie, which secures the space with femininity along with the floor and ceiling.
using bold wall coverings and transitional furnishings; a calm, bright room located in the center of the home. The room is a retreat-like sitting area that gives a feeling of being in an oasis, where you can enjoy the morning light pouring in through a large harlequin window. The decorative palette consists of vibrant Thibaut fabrics and wall coverings in bold green hues and soothing neutrals. The contemporary floral wall covering and evergreen grasscloth ceiling set the tone of the Sunroom. The furnishings combine both modern and transitional styles, and include an Italian mid-century sofa, vegan leather channeled club chairs,
