ooking for employment and need training fast? Lenoir Community College’s Quick Jobs program is designed to get you to work in less than six months. “Quick Jobs is designed to put qualified applicants to work in a short amount of time,” LCC Workforce Development Coordinator Dusk Stroud said. “This program will help develop a pipeline of potential employees for our industry and healthcare partners in areas that are in high demand.” Quick Jobs offers programs to help students find not only a job, but also a new lifelong career. The program provides students with the training to
be working in less than six months in the industrial areas of Energy Distribution Systems Technologies, Electrical Wiring, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, Certified Production Technician, Transportation Operations Management (TOM), Truck Driver Training (CDL Class A), and Welding. “Through Quick Jobs, tuition
assistance may be available as well as the opportunity to receive nationally recognized credentials. The College has partnered with employers in the area to help students find a new opportunity to work,” he said. Healthcare Quick Jobs includes training in EKG Technician, Health Unit Coordinator, Healthcare Billing and Coding, Medication Aide (Adult Care/Nursing Homes), Nurse Aide I and II, Pharmacy Technician, and Phlebotomy Technician. “These jobs are currently in demand,” said Dr. Faith Bynum, LCC Continuing Education Director of Health Related Programs. “The College offers a wide range of short-term training and has partnered with employers in the area to provide students potential employment opportunities.”
