3.4.1 SOCIAL INCLUSION

3.4.1.1 RECOOPERAR PROJECT - THEY MAKE THE DREAM COME TRUE!

Project description:

The ReCooperar project provides for the renovation of sporting facilities in institutions/non-governmental organisations.

Objectives:

Bringing different realities closer together, valuing the experiences of those who have less contact with sporting infrastructures; Support underprivileged communities that are always enthusiastically receptive to social gatherings and sharing around the football;

Making dreams come true for children, young people and socially vulnerable groups; Use the power of Professional Football to change people's lives; Bringing the Clubs closer not only to the Fundação do Futebol but to their communities.

Return to the community:

Professional football is inclusive and does not forget the most disadvantaged or vulnerable, becoming a very important means of creating moments of fun and conviviality that mark the experience of those who have few chances to have access to the football industry. It will be possible to build closer relationships with social groups that represent the need to spread and promote the values inherent in football.

3.4.1.2 A CAUSE FOR ALL

Project description:

With the intention of tackling social exclusion, this project aims to recreate a tournament with the magic of professional football between members of various institutions of the Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of the Mentally Handicapped Citizen. With the aim of acting as a driving force for a more inclusive and supportive future, to make a difference in equality on and off the pitch.

Objectives:

Raise awareness of the challenges that people with disabilities face; Support institutions and associations that defend the interests of the disabled; Promote the relationship with the community, fostering inclusion and active participation in social life; Make Professional Football stand out as a driver of social change.

Return to the community:

The main purpose of this project is to enable differentiated experiences that promote equality. People with some kind of disability will be able to participate in an event designed and adapted especially for them with a bet on an experience similar to a Football match.

3.4.2 ACCESSIBLE FOOTBALL

Project description:

The Environmental Sustainability subject is increasingly essential to be worked on in all spheres of action, and Professional Football should set an example, as it does in so many other areas. In the 2022-23 sports season, the focus will remain on upholding good environmental practices and improving implementation assets. Following an evolutionary approach referring to the previous sports season, the planned actions will support the awareness of Clubs, stakeholders and supporters.

Objectives: Raise awareness on the importance of good environmental practices; Provide support tools to Clubs for the implementation of required measures; Recognise Professional Football as an industry that is concerned about the environment.

Return to the community:

The projects linked to the area of environmental sustainability involve an indirect return in the community, insofar as their implementations foresee short, medium and long-term results aimed at environmental improvements both in terms of practices and procedures.

3.4.3.1 EQUALITY/NO TO RACISM

Every sports season, the Fundação do Futebol - Liga Portugal leads a campaign focused on valuing equality on and off the pitch. This season the action enters its 4th edition, making this subject an ongoing commitment year after year.

3.4.3.2 HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

In an evolving logic, the International Human Rights Day will continue to be celebrated within the scope of Professional Football. This initiative will challenge the fans to a profound reflection on the most basic rights of the human condition, which are not always respected. The Fundação do Futebol - Liga Portugal will count, once again appealing to the involvement of all Clubs in a joint message. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations Organisation on December 10, 1948, with the purpose of recalling that all people have fundamental human rights.
