ippa Funnell added just four time penalties to her fantastic dressage mark of 38.3 to win the SsangYong Motor UK CIC** with her stunning homebred Billy Walk On. The seven-year-old by Billy Mexico is owned by Pippa’s long time supporters, Barbara and Nicholas Walkinshaw. There was more to celebrate at these horse trials, which are run by Pippa’s mother Jenny Nolan and her brother Tim Nolan, when Paul Williams CEO of SsangYong Motors UK presented Pippa with the keys to a brand new Ssang Yong Rexton. Pippa also joins event rider Tom Crisp as a SsangYong ambassador. Coincidentally Tom finished third in this competitive section with Liberty and Glory, a promising nine-year-old by Caretino Glory. fourth with MGH Grafton Street, while the Burghley champion, Christopher Burton, finished second on TS Jamaimo. Christopher also won the Spidge Photography BE100 section A with the stunning Cyprian and was third in the same section with Seriosa, both of which had produced beautiful dressage tests for marks in the low twenties, which were only bettered by Adam Trew and Shag Rocks. An unfortunate pole in the show jumping meant Adam had to settle for second. Lisa Pilbeam had her first win at BE100 level with Katherine Woodhouse’s sevenyear-old Popstar III finishing just 0.5 points ahead of Alycia Port and Oldwick Simply Red in the Voltaire Design BE100 section B. Lucy Holland finished in third with

Beaghmore Mat. It was good to see local combination Zoe Gould and Musical Legend end the season with a win in the Exercisers BE100 section C, finishing on their dressage mark of 24, which was a personal best. Jennifer Rowlinson has had a great season with the nine-year-old Come Along Springtime, which concluded with their win in the Equine Aqua Training BE100 Open section E. Joanne Foley was second with Georgina H, while Ashley Clegg and Cooley Candle was third. It was a win for Sarah Holmes and the ten-year-old mare Dunganstown Fleur in the Novae Group CIC*, with Christopher Burton picking up another second, this time with Fire Fly.
