ridge Pony Club hosted the Area 11 Pony Club Tetrathlon on Sunday 26th July. A busy day of competition was split between Tonbridge School (swimming and shooting) and Eridge Park for the running and cross country. Steve Davis was there with his camera to capture the junior members in action. The East Kent team of Jonny Townsend, Ben Townsend, Ned McMeeking and Hugo Willett took the Mini Mini Boys section, more than 600 points clear of Romney Marsh, who finished second. Competing as an individual for West Kent Sevenoaks, Harry Scott jumped clear and won the run to take the individual honours with an impressive 3,798 points. Ned McMeeking was joint-second with Romney Marsh’s Harry Allaway, both finishing on 3,642 points. Things were a lot closer in the Mini Mini Girls competition, with the Eridge team of Ruby Hall, Jemima Spence and Rosie Moon winning with 10,142, while second placed Southdown Hunt West finished with a score of 10,004. The individual honours went to East Kent member, Eliza Geering, who had a combination of top six placings in the run, swim and shooting to score 3,872, ahead of second placed Emily Martin for Chiddingfold Farmers, who scored 3,822. The Southdown Hunt West team of Ralph Birkby, Lorna Breen, Oliver Gladwell and Barney Crowther headed the team competition in the Cygnets division, ahead of second placed Eridge. Cobham member, Rory Smith won the swim, jumped clear and finished second in the run to take the individual title with an impressive 3,748 points.
