PHYGITAL EXPERIENCE

Phygital is a neologism that arose during the recent pandemic when, due to force majeure, events shifted to our computer monitors. It seemed almost normal to share a food or wine tasting through the pixels of a digital screen.

Once this period passed, the word Phygital became part of our daily lives.

We have become accustomed to streaming meetings, shopping online or having the menu of our favorite restaurant delivered directly to our homes. Phygital means the symbiosis of real and digital in our lives, the way we combine the importance of physical experiences with the convenience of digital. Longino & Cardenal wants to be a modern, efficient, digital company, where what is mechanical and routine will be made efficient through modern tools, innovative software applications, and artificial intelligence. We also want to continue to value our romantic side, personal relationships, customer visits, and meetings with suppliers. Nothing will ever replace the thrill of seeing Iberian pigs loose in a dehesa or swimming among 300-pound tunas. Nothing will replace the smell of an old cow’s meat grilled in our Kitchen or having our clients discover the texture of cod together or taste the extraordinary Glacier 51. Quality, in the broadest sense, will always be the physical part of Longino & Cardenal’s “Phygital experience.”
