e’caih Butler is a class of 2022 running back from Bossier, LA. He currently attends the Magnolia School of Excellence where he has accumulated a 3.0 gpa throughout his high school academic career. While this young man takes care of business in the classroom, he is also bulldozing over defenses possession by possession on the gridiron. The 6’0, 198-pound ball carrier is the definition of a power back. It was a rare sighting to see this young man tackled by one defender. He runs with a tenacity and passion that few can match. Currently with one offer, this young man has big goals for his team and himself for the upcoming season. I would advice you to buy stock early for our Diamond in The Rough, Me’caih Butler.

Gridiron Football Top 300

Tell us about yourself, who is Me’caih Butler? I’m nobody special, just another hardworking person who wants to be great in life. A person that wants to make others smile. What does the sport of football mean to you? How has it impacted your life? Football is like my second heart. I feel like football is who I am. I love the sport because it is a visual representation of how hard you work. I just feel like it speaks out to me. I throughout my lifetime. When I was younger, I played football a lot before my big car wreck. I wasn’t able to play again until 7th grade. Getting back into the game just showed how much I needed it. It has opened new doors for me, it has brought me college offers, and just positive recognition.

What has been the highlight of your sporting career thus far? The highlight of my career happened last year when we played Loyola. I ran for a 100-yard touchdown from endzone to endzone. That was the first touchdown Magnolia has ever had in a high school football season. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coaches will describe me as a hardworking student athlete. They will tell you that my personality is different from everyone else’s. I see things from a different perspective and never let negativity takeover. My teammates will tell you that I am like a brother to them or a friend they have never had. They would likely say the same thing my coaches would say. He’s hardworking, never gives up and will always fight until the end. As a popular student athlete, how do you balance your schoolwork and football? The more you crackdown on schoolwork while at school, the less work you have to at home and more time you have to focus on football. I personally go to school, practice, and go to work. There is no time to waste, and you have to get things done. Do you have a favorite NFL or College Athlete and what elements, if any, do you take from their game?? To be honest, I dont have one. I do highly respect Tom Brady because he is an ultimate team player. He never just played for himself and that is how I try to play. What would you say are some of your strengths? As a person and a player. Weaknesses? My strengths are that I see everything in a positive way. I always try to keep a smile on my face to make everyone around me feel better. A weakness I have is that I don’t push myself. I also feel like I am too caring at times and sometimes in hurts myself How have you adapted to the covid 19 pandemic? I had to adapt greatly. Before Covid, we were able to work as we pleased. Everyone could come to practice and we did not have to get temperature checks. But now we must adapt by wearing mask, quarantine, etc. I feel like I adapted in a good way, but I also feel like I have lost a lot of my teammates because of it.
