Duterte hits UN official for asking PHL authorities to investigate him MANILA, Dec. 22 (PNA) – President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday lashed out at a United Nations official for asking the Philippine judicial authorities to formally investigate the President after he admitted that he killed criminals when he was still Davao City mayor. “I think there is one United Nations official, human rights. He said Duterte is a murderer and should be charged for murder. I said, this guy is either a joker or maybe crazy,” President Duterte said.

President Duterte was referring to UN Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein who said President Duterte’s actions violated the Philippine constitution and international law. MANILA, Dec. 25 (PNA) – The total number of drug surrenderers nationwide reached almost one million on Christmas Day. PNP Public Information Office (PIO) chief and spokesman Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos said that based on the latest update released by the PNP, from July 1 to the early morning of Dec. 25, under the “Project Double Barrel Alpha”, the total number of drug surrenderers has reached 977,430. MANILA, Dec. 26 (PNA) – Manila’s city government is planning to install 4,500 street lights along 156 roads starting January as an anti-crime measure during nighttime and as part of the capital city’s urban renewal and beautification program, Mayor Joseph Estrada said in a statement Monday. Duterte: Religious critics are hypocrites just like US

MANILA, Dec 28 (Mabuhay) -- President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday lashed out at religious critics, calling them hypocrites like the United States during a Christmas gathering in Davao City. “Kita mo sila, sige sila ug shagit, wala naman silang ginagawa. Wa man pud muhatag ang simbahan miski ug isa ka... Dako man na ang kontribusyon sa mga tao, sige ug ampo ug grasya nga wa pud muabot. Maniwala ka niyang relihiyon. Maniwala kayo. Ay sus. Kolekta lay maayo diha. Kay totoo pa na naay tinuod nga mensahe, muhatag ka ug kwarta, kinsa may wa muampo na mamilyonaryo?
