The Rocklin Police Headquarters is a 42,000 square foot Essential Services facilities designed to be friendly to the community while providing a civic image for the city of Rocklin. The facility’s design reflects the surrounding hills and granite quarries for which the City of Rocklin is known. The building has a friendly and open civic character, while still providing the utmost security for the police department. Designed to incorporate environmentally sensitive materials and concepts, the facility features natural lighting and PV panels mounted on shade structures in the secured parking area which also contribute to reducing energy needs and production of greenhouse gases.

DAVIS POLICEC HEADQUARTERS DAVIS, CA

The Davis Police Headquarters was designed in response to a special RFP from the City of Davis. The 35,000 square foot police department is sited on 6 acres in downtown Davis. The state-of-the-art police facility was designed to be environmentally sensitive and incorporated while taking advantage of the agricultural heritage of the community.

STANISLAUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S FACILITY MODESTO, CA

The new Sheriff’s Department Headquarters Facility for Stanislaus County, located at the Public Safety Center site in Modesto. The facility provides administrative and operational space, services division and also includes the Sheriff’s Custody Facilities and County Social Services facility. The Headquarters is organized to allow public accessibility without compromising secured circulation.

ROSENBERG POLICE FACILITY ROSENBERG, TX

This 25,000 square foot police department includes various computer processing and dispatch functions. Designed to integrate into the existing civic center campus, this facility provides security to officers and staff, presents an inviting presence to visitors, and uses forms and materials that respond to the local climate. Various departments consist of Dispatch, C.I.D., Patrol Evidence Processing and Detoxification and Holding Cell areas, as well as areas accessible to the public such as a Public Counseling Room, Victim’s Assistance and D.A.R.E. The privately-funded California Highway Patrol Headquarters project converted three existing buildings in the River District of Sacramento into a facility that houses all of the CHP’s administrative departments and staff. The Headquarters also includes a new 5,000 square foot ENTAC (Emergency Notification and Tactical Alert Center) designed and constructed to ESA standards and is capable of landing a 19,000-pound Blackhawk helicopter. The building is elevated on columns to provide secured covered parking underneath and also has plug-in capabilities for the CHP’s mobile command center. This facility serves to manage and monitor Amber Alerts state-wide and serves as the Governor’s alternate work site in times of emergency.

This project relocates the current facility to a 5.4 acre lot bound by Pioneer Trail Road, Donner Pass Road and Highway 80 to the south. The new facility is built to the Essential Service Act (ESA) standards. LEAN construction tools and techniques were used including Reverse Pull-Planning scheduling and Target Value Design. TEHAMA COUNTY COURTHOUSE RED BLUFF, CA

The new Tehama County Courthouse is a 62,033 square foot facility with 5 courtrooms to accommodate jury trials. Services to the public include civil, criminal, juvenile, traffic and family law. A secured holding area for in-custody defendants is also included in this program. The design challenges for this court building include creating a building that is responsive to the local context, geography, climate, culture and history of Red Bluff and at the same time, representing the dignity of the law, the importance of the activities within the courthouse, and the stability of the judicial system.

DOWNTOWN ROSEVILLE 316 VERNON STREET OFFICE

First building in the USA to receive a Platinum rating by the United States Resiliency Council (USRC)

This new civic office building serves the needs of the City’s Information Technology Department, Fire Department Administration, and provides office space and a public counter for the City’s Alternative Transportation Division. Two floors of the building are leased to the Sierra Joint Community College District, providing instructional classroom space and bringing students and activity to this downtown location. The project also provides street-level retail/restaurant space. 316 Vernon is the first building to receive a Platinum rating by the United States Resiliency Council (USRC) for building performance in the event of an earthquake or natural disaster.

Located in Elk Grove, just south of Sacramento and adjacent to Interstate 5, the new headquarters for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is a campus of secure facilities consolidating 1,400 employees. LPAS designed the entire pedestrian-oriented campus which features connectivity between five buildings totaling over 420,000 square feet. The project features cost-effective tilt-up construction with a high-efficiency envelope design, efficient curtain wall system, and a variety of work spaces from open areas to private offices. The LEED Gold certified buildings features sustainable strategies including roof-mounted 292 KW photovoltaic arrays and electrical vehicle charging stations. LPAS / Public Safety

BIM Coordination helped in delivering this project $5M under budget and 3 months ahead of schedule.

This project is located in Sacramento at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers. The six-story, 157,000 square foot building provides secured office and support spaces for approximately 630 Lottery staff and operations. The building includes a 400-seat multi-use pavilion with state-of-the-art A/V systems, a 5,000 square foot data center, wellness center, public plazas with water features, central utility plant, retail lease space and a vegetated green roof.

LPAS designed the 12-story 2020 Gateway tower and alsoalso provided programming, interior design and space planning services on two improvement projects in 2020 Gateway for the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) and the California Department of Housing & Community Development (HCD). Taking advantage of its prominent location adjacent to Interstate 5, the 2020 Gateway serves as a gateway to Downtown Sacramento from the International Airport. The building was designed to reduce operational costs, enhance occupant comfort, health, and productivity, and preserve natural resources. Finishes for the lobby were specifically selected to capture the true essence of a modern high-rise.
