MONEY MATTERS BURSARY FOR DEFINED LEARNERS If you are aged 16–18 and in care, a care leaver, receiving Income Support or Universal Credit and supporting yourself or receiving Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment as well as Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit you may be entitled to a bursary to help cover the cost of travel, books, equipment etc.
DISCRETIONARY LEARNER SUPPORT/BURSARY FUNDS Funding is also available to students whose household income is below £32,960, this can help with costs associated with your studies including specialist uniform, protective equipment, travel or even childcare. 19+ ADVANCED LEARNER LOANS Did you know the 19+ Advanced Learner Loan can cover the cost of tuition for Access courses and many Level 3 and 4 courses like Diplomas, Extended Diplomas and Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships? Repayments don’t begin until you finish the course and are earning at least £26,658.
