The design translates some of Melbournes distinctive characteristics from materiality, textures and patterns and artwork into designs expressed throughout the variety of different workspaces. Melbournes Hoddle Grid was used as inspiration to define the spatial planning and architectura elements of joinery, glazinf and lighting. Bespoke works by local artists were commissioned to further situate the building into the environmental context. The planning celebrates views of the Melbourne skyline whilst the interior draws upon the urban indsutrial and creative landscape. (Photography by Tom Blachford, 2019)
Formoral - Lialawlab Inspired by retro-futurism, this skincare store in Hangzhou, China chanels an otherworldly design for the concept store. The idea of the future envisioned in the past is explored through the relationship of the aritificial and nature. Unifying colours distinguised through different textures highlights patches of rainbow coloured light. The sphereical forms defines the functional zones. (Photography by Feng Shao, 2021)
