Troubled by injury, Z. Parks wasn't able to parttcipate like he had wanted.
Jerad Ames' highlight wa medalist against Cedarville with a 43.
Coach David Liffick was very patient with an inexperienced team during 1997. The sea on wa a blast and was a very good learning experience for the underclassmen. The varsity team fluctuated o everyone had the opportunity of playing. Senior Lance Corwin was out because of injury and was greatly missed. Senior Joel Allen, Ja on Beam, and Shannon Smith held the top three positions most of the year. Juniors Mike Morley and Kyle Reed received a lot of playing time and will be expected to step up next year. Sophomore Jeff Baker and Freshman :vfichael Benton continued to work hard throughout the season to earn their pots on varsity. Depending on their practice core , Ja on Hartsook, Zach Parks, and Jerad Ames played the ixth pot at various time during the year.

Joel Allen wa a fir ttime golf letterman. He played either the #I or #2 po¡ sition the entire year and performed well with the pressure he was put under. Joel made the eason fun for the entire team.
G
hannon Sm1th was a 4 year letterman for golf. Her patience and ability howed through thi year a her average wa a 43. hannon will be playing golf for Bowling Green next fall and IS very excited.
0 L F Coach Lifrs help and patience was appreCiated by all this eason \' e're especially thankful for his under tanding and forgivene s after a bad lo s. He would still even take us to Wendy' .
1 9 9 7 Beamer had a lot of pre ure coming in as a I t year player. He alway kept a smile on hi face and had a funny comment to say. Ja on finally found "his place to shine" only it wa on the BB court and not at Heatherwoode.
Lance Corwin was a 4-year letterman, who e play wa mi ed and needed. Lance could have ea ily turned the eason into more wins.
