VotedEmployee ofthe Month!

The Leadership Team recognized Natalya Gruenwald as our employee of the month Natalya has worked for course maintenance for the past several years and has done an amazing job She is always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. Her attention to detail and hard work does not go unnoticed. Please congratulate Natalya when you see her working on the course or around the c

CourseAerification&EnhancementProject

The golf course and short-game area will be closed from July 10th- July 14th for our annual course aeration of the greens The driving range will reopen on July 14th The Pro Shop will be open on Thursday and Friday from 9AM - 3PM Last year we implemented the DryJect process on our greens and we will continue this process again this year

DryJect is a water-based injection system that blasts aeration holes through the root zone and fracture the soil and simultaneously fills holes with high volume of sand This process will improve drainage and firm up greens. I know one of our members, Peter van Drumpt, will be happy to share more info on the process if you ask him. He was the original designer in 2000 for turf application.

We have also received final approval from the county stormwater engineers to finish our golf course enhancement project We will complete the tee box addition on hole #18, removal of the “dirt pile” on #17 and finish the cart path repairs on the front nine during the week of closure Some of this work will most likely extend past the week of closure, but we will work around play

BriefClubhouse&GymClosure

The clubhouse and restaurant will be closed July 11th, and 12th Family Night offering will be available at the pool on the 12th. We will reopen for normal club operations on Thursday, July 13th. The Gym will be closed from 10:30- 4:00PM on Wednesday, July 12th for a Preventative Maintenance visit. The pools, pool bar & kitchen will be open for normal business hours all week.

WalkingontheGolfCourse

We would like to remind the community members that the golf course is closed to walking Tuesday through Sunday. Monday is the only time we allow walking on the golf course and dogs must remain on leash and picked-up after. Dogs are not allowed around the clubhouse or Sport Center area Also, we have had several incidents with people entering our community and fishing in our ponds Please contact the pro shop or address this with the individual if witnessed

and HAD to be a part of the moment.

COOKIE OF THE MONTH Key Lime Cookies

Recipe by Ron Gordils

Thank you to Ron Gordils, Executive Chef at Sedgefield Country Club, for sharing his key lime cookie recipe with us! This is what he had to say "The first pie I ever made was a key lime pie I remember following the recipe on the back of the key lime juice bottle I think I ate more of the meringue than what actually ended up on the pie Ever since that moment I’ve had a love for that sweet and tart flavor Please enjoy this little sample of that delicious combination "

Ingredients

1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour

1/2 Cup Cornstarch

1 Cup Butter, softened

Directions

1 Cup Powdered Sugar, plus more for dusting

2 TBSP Key Lime Juice

3 TBSP Key Lime Zest

Whisk together the flour and cornstarch Set aside

Beat butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy Beat in key lime juice and zest Mix in flour mixture just until combined.

Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350°F

Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray

Scoop out cookie dough (about 1½ tablespoons) and form into a ball
