EDUCATION FOR A NEW WORLD AHEAD What’s powering our girls’ futures? At Balmoral Hall School, we say it’s STEAM. Many schools embrace a STEM learning environment, where students dig into science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. But it’s not enough. Our girls will one day hold careers that haven’t even been invented yet. In order to prepare them for that future, we value the role art plays throughout our programming. The arts teach us to be curious and creative. They strengthen our problem-solving skills, open our eyes to new opportunities, and teach us to embrace change. They nurture an innovator’s spirit. As students consider how they fit into a world where creativity is one of their greatest assets, this multi-use space is an exceptional hub of teaching and learning. Our investment in this 18,000 square-foot building offers BH girls an industry-grade space to explore the limitless possibilities of a STEAM education.
A smart, self-sufficient woman is a woman of strong character. One of the ways we develop character at Balmoral Hall School is through experiential learning. By collaborating with the local and international community, BH girls develop an understanding of how best to contribute to a more just and humane world.
ALL GIRLS WELCOME A group of entrepreneurial parents founded our school in 1901 to offer a national-calibre, all-girls education. Today, we are an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 2 to Grade 12. Each year, we welcome students from around the world, encouraging them to discover their passions in academics, arts, and athletics. Balmoral Hall School is located in the heart of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Our city is known for its cultural diversity, welcoming spirit, fresh air and big skies.
BOARDING SCHOOL Students in grades 6 through 12 can make our modern boarding facility their home for the school year. Our boarding program is known for its supportive environment based on mutual respect. BH girls can focus on academics, arts, and athletics while building lifelong friendships and participating in extra-curricular activities.
UNIVERSITY AND CAREER PREP Every BH girl gets personalized support to set her on the path she wants to pursue after high school. Through university guidance, internships, alumnae mentorship, and training in entrepreneurship and professional arts, BH girls can make a confident choice for their academic and professional futures.
