Since 2000, the MAC has met the criteria to make the list: “universal recognition, excellence in amenities and facilities, caliber of staff and professional service levels, quality and commitment of membership, governance and prudent fiscal management, ability to adapt to changing times, and overall experience.” The election to establish the top 5 percent
of private clubs of excellence takes place in the fall of even years and is conducted over a 90-day period by the Club Leaders Forum. The preliminary ballot is circulated to private club managers all across the country who have the opportunity to nominate additional clubs to appear on the final ballot. The final ballot is distributed to private club managers, presidents and owners. The MAC has been through many changes in the past two decades we’ve made this list, but the caliber of service the Club continues
to provide remains the same. Even in this challenging year, the MAC stands as one of the top clubs in the country, and we are so proud of everyone who has contributed to making this designation possible.

MAC LISTED IN TOP 10 ATHLETIC CLUBS

Last month, Platinum Clubs of America named the Missouri Athletic Club the No. 9 athletic club in the country. Since 2000, the MAC has met the criteria to make the list: “universal recognition, excellence in amenities and facilities, caliber of staff and professional service levels, quality and commitment of membership, governance and prudent fiscal management, ability
to adapt to changing times, and overall experience.” Launched in 1997 by Club Leaders Forum, Platinum Clubs of America was revitalized in 2014. Over the past two decades, Platinum Clubs has earned the reputation as the most respected recognition in Private Club Excellence. The inspiration for the concept came from John Sibbald, who continued to hear Clubs profess “they were the best.” Sibbald developed Platinum Clubs of America to allow private club managers, presidents and owners to make that distinction. Over the years, with input from the Club Leaders Forum Advisory Board, the
seven selection criteria have been updated to be relevant and adapt to changing times in the industry. Platinum status is awarded in five categories: country clubs, golf, city, athletic and yacht clubs. The election to establish the top 5 percent of private clubs of excellence takes place in the autumn of even years and is conducted over a 90-day period. This latest designation is for 20212022.
