T H E F O O D The menu is beautifully
This is an al fresco Grecian retreat in the heart of the city simple, comprising all the classics one would expect of Greek cuisine such as Tarmas and Tzatziki, with some local flair from Greek executive chef Ilias Doulamis. With an emphasis on fish, the catch of the day is freshly cooked on the open fire, the seabream absolutely bursting with flavour and worth the battle with the bones. With nearly all the ingredients sourced from Greece, every mouthful is fresh and authentic. Menu highlights also include dakos (bread rusk salad), octopus on the grill, lauraki a la spetsiota (cod fricassee) and astakomakaronada (lobster and pasta).
T H E S E R V I C E Service feels very traditional, like you’re at home in your local taverna. Staff are only too keen to share their knowledge and the atmosphere feels very cosy and inviting, aided by the staff ’s Mediterranean hospitality. T H E W O R K S P A C E A great place to bring colleagues for some after-work fun or team building with the music playing and the Ouzo flowing.
V E R D I C T A wonderful treat during the cooler Dubai weather. The prices are reasonable and the experience authentic. Melanie Swan MARCH 2022
