We managed to get our 2021 Graded Fours completed early in the year, one of our great Events as it puts different Grades together in the one game, 8 bowlers on the one rink giving their all.

The 2021 Graded fours were won by the Graham Lewis led side including Barry & Dianna Rothwell with Jill Wedgenaar in a close contest over Tom Wrathall, John Hirst, Jim McDonald & Graham Thomas.

MBC managed to field 4 Grade sides again this year, all 48 bowlers playing a 10-week season, home and away games all over the Northers Beaches and North Shore. We managed to get to these numbers through the help of our Lady members, so a big thank you to all the Ladies that help out.

Our Grade 6 and 7 teams fought hard all year with mixed results. Grade 7 was filled with mostly new bowlers learning how to play as a team, they did well and will be much better for the experience. Grade 6 started very well, they were competitive against most teams but ran up against a few very powerful sides, especially Harbord who went through the season undefeated.

Our grade 5 and grade 3 sides were very competitive and managed to get to their respective final round games with a chance to progress to the finals. Both missed out by the barest of margins on the day, just losing games by a few points; next year promises well for MBC.

We have commenced our Major Singles, but the latest lockdown has ceased all play, hopefully we will be back on the Greens soon. All play has been on our new synthetic, thanks Mounties, which is a testament on how much everyone enjoys the surface.
