While we cannot get together in person or leave our homes to ship shoes, we're inviting you to join us in a virtual collection. It's easy to participate: Clean your closets, gather your new or gently worn shoes, snap a few photos or shoot a quick video and report your total to receive a complimentary mailing label. Theme: Artwork should celebrate the music of the Harlem Renaissance period that fostered a new black cultural identity in the 1920s and 1930s. Eligibility: The competition is open to high school students (Grades 9-12) in public, private, charter or alternative schools in the District of Columbia. Must be a DC Resident.
