How writing my story led to my
healing 2007 WAS ONE OF THOSE YEARS, YOU KNOW THE ONES THAT PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLERS ARE MADE OF. A YEAR I NEVER WANTED TO RELIVE AGAIN. IN HINDSIGHT, IT WAS A YEAR THAT SET ME UP FOR A HUGELY SUCCESSFUL DECADE TO FOLLOW BUT IT DIDN’T FEEL LIKE IT AT THE TIME.

n brief, I went through a year of PTSD after an incident at my home and then 10 months later to endure a double miscarriage well I thought my world was falling apart. I had the benefit of working in mental health for 4 years so I knew what I needed to do to keep myself managed but it didn’t cure the deep-rooted feeling that I wanted to understand at a very deep level ‘Why Me?’ Fast forward a couple of years and I had emigrated to Australia from Ireland and had 2 more children (4 in total) and was building a lovely life for me and my family. Then it happened, an epiphany moment that would change the trajectory of my life. I was watching The View and Whoopi Goldberg had a reality TV couple on the show who had endured a miscarriage in front of the world, the woman was very fragile about it and Whoopi turned her back to the camera looked at the woman and said “I am going to tell you what MUMPRENEUR MOVEMENT |
