Podcast Album: Learning To Walk Before You Can Run
Track 7 – Learning To Run Stage 4 Brought To You By: MyWeightLossDream.co.uk
Welcome to the seventh track in our learning to walk before you can run series of podcasts and thanks for downloading me. Well I don’t mean me, I mean the podcast but I am sure you know what I mean! I hope you don’t mind but we are going to jump straight in with this podcast and to get you moving. Chapter 1 – Introduction To Stage 4 If you notice we are moving up in very slow gradual intervals. This is so that you can gradually train your body to do a little more each time. We all have different levels of fitness and some of us will be overweight, obese or underweight doing this. It is all about not pushing your body past the barriers and if you do enter a new stage that it is not going to kill you in doing so. Here is what stage 4 is all about: Stage 4 Begin with a 500m brisk walk, then alternate 3 minutes of running with 2 minutes of brisk walking for 2200m. Then finish your regime with 500m of brisk walking. Chapter 2 – Stage 4 Running Diary As I do stage 4 I am now in the summer season in the Algarve so I am not too sure about how quick I am going to progress in the next few rounds. I am hoping the heat wont get in my
way too much and that I can still be jogging in August as I don’t want to halt my progress. For my stage 4 this is how I got on: Sixth run = 12th June 2015 = 3400m = 32 minutes I am now onto stage 4 = a little less walking and a bit more running. The only BIG problem I have today is that I am stupid enough to walk another way and I forgot that this meant that all my running would be uphill. And I am not talking a little hill, but a big incline that my unfit body is not capable of achieving! So even though this increased running session means I get 4 three minute runs, I also have to pause halfway through the second. I just can’t believe how bad my body is from a hill On a bright side the 3200 metres that I wanted to achieve, I did it in under 30 minutes which felt amazing!
