NASSAU BAY GARDEN CLUB

With summer fast approaching, residents need to be aware of the drought conditions that exist in the Nassau Bay neighborhood. This spring has been practically devoid of rain, so make sure you are watering your yard and plantings, they are thirsty! This is the time when we see if those drought-tolerant plants perform as advertised. The Garden Club has received several donations recently from groups including Ann Gay's Family and Just Peachy Farms, a vendor at the Nassau Bay Farmer's Market held at Erma's. There are many places and reasons to donate your money, so keep the Garden Club on your list. Just Peachy Farms donated in honor of Earth Day. The Club's last official get-together was May 10 for the installation of new officers. Meetings will resume in September on the second Tuesday of the month in the City Hall Council Chambers at 9:30AM.
