NAUTICATS SWIM TEAM

The Nassau Bay Nauticats Summer Swim Team begins accepting online registration for swimmers ages 5-18 on March 15th, with inperson registration to follow at City Hall on April 14th. The Nauticats are a fun, family-friendly team, rooted in the Nassau Bay community for more than 50 years. The Nauticats practice at the Nassau Bay HOA pool (afternoons until school is out, then mornings, through the end of June). They compete against other teams in the Clear Creek Swim League, with swim meets on all five Saturdays in June. Visit www.Nauticats.org for more details.

FEBRUARY 11, 2019 - REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING Approved second and final reading of an ordinance calling the May 4, 2019 City Officers’ Election for the purpose of electing three Councilmembers (Positions 1, 3 & 5). Appointed Bob Warters, Jim Edwards, Carl Drexel, and Jerry Newberry to the Street Task Force. Presented a Proclamation to Approved the Parks & Recreation Stephen Himel-Hansen for the prestigious award of Committee / Keep Nassau Bay earning Eagle Scout Beautiful’s recommendation to install a “Little Free Library” in the Nassau Bay parks system. Received an update on Code Enforcement and how it impacts Economic Development in Nassau Bay. Approved a resolution appointing Pete Seroka to the NASA Area a check in the amount Management District (NAMD) Presented of $4,000 to the Clear Creek Board of Directors to an unexpired Environmental Foundation for the term set to expire on June 1, 2019. annual peninsula clean-up Approved action to create a joint task force with the Economic Development Corporation and City Council to facilitate action regarding economic development negotiations.
