El Presidente del Consejo Longines Global Champions Tour México nos comparte su visión del nuevo lujo junto con los retos y satisfacciones que el prestigiado torneo ha generado en su primera edición post Covid.

The President of the Longines Global Champions Tour Mexico Board shares his vision of new luxury, along with the challenges and rewards the prestigious tournament has generated after its first post-Covid edition.

“El concepto de lujo sin lugar a dudas cambió radicalmente a partir de la pandemia. En lo personal, nuevo lujo significa disfrutar las cosas simples; tener la libertad de trabajar en tus propios horarios y desde tu hogar, sin tener la obligación de acudir a una oficina es un lujo que al mismo tiempo libera estrés y te vuelve más eficiente.

“There is no question that the pandemic radically changed the concept of luxury. In my opinion, new luxury is enjoying the simple things; having the freedom to work from home and choose your own schedule without the pressure of going to an office is a luxury that also relieves stress and helps you become more efficient.

El Global Champions Tour es un sueño hecho realidad. Desde que concebimos la idea y la llevamos a cabo hemos tenido una excelente respuesta. El público mexicano es un público conocedor, que sabe del deporte. Después de dos años de no poder realizar este evento, la edición del Global Champions Tour de 2022 demostró una vez más que a pesar de la pausa es un evento deportivo consolidado y de los mejores en su género en el país. Incluso me atrevo a decir que está entre las mejores competencias hípicas del mundo.

Uno de los factores que llevaron al éxito de esta edición del Longines Global Champions Tour México fue el entusiasmo con el que la gente lo recibió luego de dos años en los que no pudieron disfrutar eventos como el nuestro. La espera y la oportunidad de poder convivir una vez más con los amigos y los seres queridos generaron una gran energía.

Estamos profundamente agradecidos con el público, así como con la Secretaría de la Defensa de México, que nos ha dado todo su apoyo y una vez más nos ha abierto la puerta del espléndido Campo Marte, sin lo cual el Longines Global Champions Tour no sería el mismo. Cada año nos presenta nuevos retos y oportunidades de crecer y mejorar el evento, generar el mejor ambiente y sobre todo un gran espectáculo para el público.”

The Global Champions Tour is a dream come true. We’ve had an excellent response from the moment we conceived the idea and carried it out. The Mexican audience is knowledgeable and knows about this sport. After a two-year pause, the 2022 edition of the Global Champions Tour proved to be a consolidated event and one of the best in its genre despite the hiatus. I can safely say that it is among the world’s best equestrian competitions.

One of the reasons for the success of this edition of the Longines Global Champions Tour Mexico was the enthusiasm of the people after two years of not being able to enjoy an event like this. The long wait and the opportunity to share with friends and loved ones again generated great energy.

We are deeply grateful to the public as well as to Mexico’s Ministry of National Defense for giving us all their support and for opening the door of the spectacular Campo Marte one more time. The Longines Global Champions Tour Mexico would not have been the same without that support.
