Dear Readers, It is is with great satisfaction that we greet this month of August, because, as you know, it is the month in which our little one’s get back in the classrooms, for yet another year of learning and growing. We want to wish every single one of these young one’s the best of luck, and the very best of luck as well for our teachers, coaches, instructors, counselors, and principals! Here ta Arizona Bilingual we are extremely happy with the results of our 8th annual Kid’z Expo & Back to School event, which took place this past august 3rd. an event in which we gave away 2,500 backpacks, as well as school supplies, laptops, bikes, as well as other gifts and resources, and of course all with a big day of music, fun, and games for the whole family. A very special Thanks to our main sponsor Tucson Electric Power for all the support and trust they put towards this community event. We also thank all the staff at Ward 5 and of course our councilmember Richard Fimbres, as well as all our sponsors and clients who supported us in this great success. Thank you! I want to share with all of you the information for our first annual Walk against Breast Cancer. This is a great initiative we decided to bring up this year to share with our community and to bring awareness to our fellow Tucsonans about the risks of this terrible condition that affects millions of people each year. Sun-Dried Tomato Hummus
Food
Ingredients 1 jar (7 oz.) sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained, reserving 4 Tbsp. oil 4 tablespoons water 1/2 cup tahini 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 2 cloves garlic, peeled 1 teaspoon hot sauce 2 cans (16 oz.) chickpeas, 1 drained and 1 undrained 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary 1 teaspoon coarse salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1- Place ingredients (including reserved oil) in a blender and attach lid. 2- Blend on high, stopping to scrape sides if necessary, until mixture is smooth and well combined. 3- Refrigerate leftovers.
The difference between “Good” & “Bad” Cholesterol By CDC Staff
Cholesterol travels through the blood on proteins called “lipoproteins.” Two types of lipoproteins carry cholesterol throughout the body: • LDL (low-density lipoprotein), sometimes called “bad” cholesterol, makes up most of your body’s cholesterol. High levels of LDL cholesterol raise your risk for heart disease and stroke. • HDL (high-density lipoprotein), or “good” cholesterol, absorbs cholesterol and carries it back to the liver. The liver then flushes it from the body. High levels of HDL cholesterol can lower your risk for heart disease and stroke. When your body has too much LDL cholesterol, the LDL cholesterol can build up on the walls of your blood vessels. This buildup is called “plaque.” As your blood vessels build up plaque over time, the insides of the vessels narrow. This ‘narrowing’ blocks blood flow to and from your heart and other organs. When blood flow to the heart is blocked, it can cause
angina (chest pain) or a heart attack. Lowering Your Risk • If you have high LDL cholesterol levels, your health care team may recommend cholesterol-lowering medicine and lifestyle changes to lower your risk for heart disease and stroke. • If you have low HDL cholesterol levels, talk to your doctor about lifestyle changes that may help raise your levels.

e have been told by many that the best restaurants in the County are in Ward Five and South Tucson. UNESCO’s designation of Tucson the First City in the United States as a City of Gastronomy, helps to prove it. As summer is now upon us, I would suggest instead of cooking and making your house even hotter go out and enjoy some of our great restaurants. American Eats is a food court, with ten local food concepts with a wide selection to choose from. It is a great place to meet people and with a wide selection of food to choose from.
Café Santa Rosa—2615 S. 6th Avenue
Café Santa Rosa had expanded their operation. The food is delicious. The service is fantastic! If you ever feel like having some food, this is the spot. It feels like Tucson in there, with the décor and traditional delicious food.
Sunny Daze – 4980 S. Campbell Avenue
Sunny Daze Cafe is a favorite that brings the beach to the desert on the south side! They are a diner that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can enjoy American, Burgers and a touch of Mexican food. Must try their scrumptious Sunny Puffs! Service is outstanding!

With back-to-school specials running all summer long, parents and students can start their shopping early and spread it out to avoid a hefty back-to-school shopping bill all at once. Better Business Bureau (BBB) offers up the following tips on how to shop smart when starting your back-to-school or backto-college shopping: ● Make a list. You can either wait for the school supplies list to come out, or start shopping without it. Even if you don’t have the exact list, you should have an idea of what to purchase regarding school clothes, and basic supplies. Jot everything down on a list and stick to it! Impulse buying can jack up your overall total in a hurry. ●S hop your home. You may already have some of the items from last year hidden in your home. Why purchase the same thing twice? ● Research big ticket items. Before purchasing that expensive laptop, tablet or dorm
refrigerator, be sure to do your research. Research the brands, warranty, customer reviews and the prices at various stores to be sure you’re getting the best deal. Also check the retailer out with BBB at bbb.org. ● Look for the sales. Compare prices between different retail stores, save your coupons, sign up for email alerts and redeem any cash-back or rebate offers. This will help you get the best deals. ● Ask for student discounts. Many stores and software companies offer discounts to students that have either an .edu email address or a student ID. Even if you don’t see a discount advertised at the store, it doesn’t hurt to ask. ● Shop in bulk. Some teachers ask parents to buy bulk items for the entire classroom to use throughout the year. Talk with other parents about what they’re getting, and see if you can all split the cost. ● Know the return policies and save your receipts. Kids can be fickle. The 8th Annual Kid’z Expo
Este pasado 3 de agosto, llevamos a cabo una de nuestras tradiciones más queridas, y por supuesto uno de nuestros eventos favoritos del año, el evento del Kid’z Expo & Back to School 2019. Una fiesta anual que dedicamos a nuestros jóvenes que están por regresar a clases, en el cual regalamos 2,500 mochilas. El evento se llevó a cabo, así como en años pasados, en El Pueblo Center, y por supuesto, lo hicimos con una gran celebración llena de diversión, juegos, música, rifas, y mucho más. El evento lo arrancamos con la divertida presentación del Payaso Oliver, seguida por los bailables tradicionales de los pequeñines de Folclórico Tapatio Infantil. También, tuvimos la presentación especial del Mago Ross, que nos hizo desatinar mas de una vez, pero la confusión se nos quito con la bailada que nos pusimos con la alegre música de los muchachitos de Fundación Musical, quienes nos pusieron a bailar a su son. Por último, decidimos cerrar con un baile especial para los pequeñines de parte de los personajes de La Bella y La Bestia, seguido por una hora de rifas y regalos, en donde logramos regalar muchas sorpresas y objetos como tabletas, laptops, bicicletas, teléfonos, entre otras cosas, por supuesto donado de parte de nuestros patrocinadores y donantes. Queremos hacer un agradecimiento especial a las siguientes organizaciones que donaron agua y bicicletas: Carnitas La Yoca, Innovation Tax Services, Richard Barker Foundation, Tucson Unified School District, Savvi International, Lugo Foundation / Ward 5, Zion City, Church Zoe Church, e Iglesia Evangélica Gentil de Cristo “Templo Getsemani”. Un agradecimiento especial también al departamento de policía de Tucson, por brindarles sillas de niños para coche a los niños de la ciudad, y por supuesto al Consulado de México en Tucson por donar libros de texto en español gratuitos.

& Back to School
This past 3rd of August, we carried out one of our most cherished traditions and one of our most favorite events of the year, the 2019 Kid’z Expo & Back to School. An annual party we throw for our little ones going back to school, in which we give away 2,500 backpacks. The event took place, at the El Pueblo Center, just like we have done it the past 8 years, and of course we did it with a big blow out of fun, games, raffles, and much more. We kicked things off with Oliver the clown and his super funny show, later on we saw the little ones at Folclorico Tapatio Infantil doing their traditional Mexican dances. We continued the fun with Ross the Magician, who tricked our eyes more than once, and enjoyed the beautiful music of Fundacion Musical, who made us dance to their tune. Finally, we wrapped up our lineup of fun with a special Dance by the Beauty and the Beast, and spend the last hour raffling all sorts of surprises like tablets, laptops, bicycles, cellphones, and more, all donated by our sponsors and vendors. A very special thank you to the following organizations who donated water and bicycles: Carnitas La Yoca, Innovation Tax services, Richard Barker Foundation, Tucson Unified School District, Savvi International, Lugo Foundation and Ward 5, Zion City Church, Zoe Church, and Iglesia Evangelica Gentil de Cristo “Templo Getsemani”. A very special thank you as well to the Tucson Police department for providing free Booster Seats for the children of our community, and of course the Mexican Consulate in Tucson for donating free textbooks.

The Race for the Mayor of Tucson Meet the candidates for Mayor of Tucson, AZ. Primary Elections are on August 27th Ed Ackerley Randi Dorman Why is it so important for you to become the next Mayor of Tucson, AZ.? For the past several cycles, the Tucson City Council has been dominated by one party. It is important that if the city is going to move forward that other points of view are considered and respected through representative governance. I am the only native Tucsonan in the race, and I am not running as a Democrat or a Republican - but a Tucsonan. The leadership record I have compiled over the last four decades in business, non-profit work, and the community have prepared me to be the next Mayor of Tucson. The voters of Tucson are looking for something different and I provide that option for voters.
Our relationship with Mexico is crucial, and the purchasing power of its visitors is very important to our city’s economy. What is your experience in this matter, and how do you plan on maintaining this relationship? Over the past fifty-one years my advertising agency has advertised in Northern Mexico to bring visitors to Tucson for our clients. That experience has included advertising, relationship building and engagement with many friends from Mexico who have helped in this endeavor. Mexico is vitally important to the continued economic recovery and growth of Tucson and we must work with the Mexican Consulate, with the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Mexico Commission, Visit Tucson, and other local, statewide and national organizations to encourage trade, commerce and exchange with Mexico. The relationship is important and as Mayor I would continue to foster strong ties with Mexico, the Mayors of the northern cities, governors of northern states, and work to stimulate trade and business relationships. The Office of Economic Initiatives in City Hall is one place that we can facilitate this continued relationship under direct control of the City Manager, Mayor and Council. Do you think The police should respect the fact that Tucson is considered a friendly and welcoming town. If so, how would you plan on sharing this message with Tucson’s residents and foreign visitors ?
Yes. Tucson IS a friendly and welcoming town and General Orders of police reflect this rich history of hospitality. Part of my plan is for me to not only be Mayor, but the Chief Marketing Officer of the City of Tucson to let residents, the country, and foreign visitors know about the wonderful place Tucson is and encourage visits, business, commerce and cultural exchange. One of my top priorities would be a branding campaign to share the news that “TUCSON… It’s Pretty Cool!” to communicate the positive things our city has to offer. We can fix the problems - we need to accentuate the positive and celebrate the relationship with Mexico and others coming to our city. Dr. Ed Ackerley is an Independent candidate for Mayor. Running as a Tucsonan, he will represent the city and lead the council to solve common issues. His vision for Tucson includes supervising municipal services: bolster police and fire, fix roads and potholes, oversee public transportation, increase economic initiatives including good paying jobs, manage parks, ensure and deliver enough clean water into the next century, effectively deal with the recycling problem, preside over city courts, direct the environmental services program, provide quality planning, zoning and development for future growth. As Mayor he will be the Chief Marketing Officer of the city to communicate the great things about Tucson to spur tourism and job opportunities. He co-owns Ackerley Advertising (established 1968). He is a graduate of Palo Verde High School (1976) and teaches at the University of Arizona where he received his undergraduate degree (1979) and Northern Arizona University where he earned his Masters and Doctorate (2006). He is a former Chairman of the Council of Governors of American Advertising Federation and was recognized with Advertising Professional of the Year, Hall of Fame and AAF Silver Medal Awards. He and his wife Susan (also a native), have three sons and two grandsons.
1. Why is it so important for you to become the next Mayor of Tucson, AZ.? I am running for Mayor because Tucson has limitless potential, and the decisions we make in the next four years will have a profound impact on our next 40 years. I have 30 years of business experience and 20 years of experience helping to lead the revitalization of downtown Tucson, and I will lead the way in creating opportunities in each part of the city. I’m running to be Tucson’s first female mayor because it is time we think differently about what is possible here. We need to create a vision for Tucson that rises above the status quo. A vision that includes the jobs and opportunities Tucsonans need, that encourages our children to stay and raise their families, that empowers local businesses to grow and new businesses to come here so we can build the thriving 21st century city we deserve. The Mayor of Tucson has just one vote on the Council, but her true power is in her ability to set a vision, connect and collaborate with people to align behind that vision, and make that vision happen. That is what I do every day. In my plans I have clearly spelled out the importance of thinking of ourselves as a region from Mexico up north, and I will advocate for policies that strengthen that relationship. I will make sure that our Mexican visitors feel comfortable and safe, and
understand that we welcome them. I have deep experience working with multinational companies from when I led a team at Interbrand, the largest branding firm in the world. I will use my expertise in this area to further develop our business relationship with Mexico and Mexican businesses, and make sure they know that Tucson is open for business. 3. Do you think The police should respect the fact that Tucson is considered a friendly and welcoming town. If so, how would you plan on sharing this message with Tucson’s residents and foreign visitors? It is important that the police respect that Tucson is a friendly and welcoming town. Police Chief Magnus has made great strides in this area. I will work with the Visit Tucson office as well as our partners in Mexico to make sure that message is shared. We are specifically an immigrant welcoming community. The Tucson Police Department created policies in 2012 and 2017 to ensure all people in Tucson know they are safe here and that they can report crime in our community without fear. We can and should build upon those policies to further our progress.

Why is it so important for you to become the next Mayor of Tucson, AZ.? I am running to be the next Mayor of Tucson because I want to ensure that future generations of Tucsonans have the same opportunities that I had growing up. I was raised by immigrant farmworkers in Somerton, Arizona and am the only one of my siblings born in the U.S. I came to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona and Tucson welcomed me with so much opportunity. For the last 12 years, I have served on the Tucson City Council, where I have worked to create a safe, just and sustainable city with economic opportunity for all Tucsonans. I have the experience, the passion, and the vision to lead our City forward. As Mayor, I will act boldly on climate change - which disproportionately affects the elderly, children, and communities of color - by electrifying our transit system, planting one million trees by 2030, and leading our City to carbon neutrality. I will fight to invest in our children through expanding programs like the KIDCO after-school and summer program, as well demanding the funding that our public schools deserve. My family have been Sonorenses for seven generations and like others in the region, my family spans across the Sonoran desert on both sides of the border. I have always valued Tucson’s relationship with Mexico. As a City Councilmember, I have participated in trade missions to Culiacan, Mazatlán and Hermosillo and have a great relationship with the Mexican Consul, Ricardo Pineda. I have always stressed the interconnectedness of Tucson and Mexico’s economy and social structure. In addition, I have advocated for the development of hotels and shopping centers within the City of Tucson to serve Mexican visitors and shoppers.
As Mayor, I will use the relationships I have built to continue strengthening our trade relationship with our neighbor to the South. Given our unique geographical location, there is no reason Tucson cannot be a hub for both Mexican and Canadian companies that conduct international trade. However, we need a leader with both the experience and the relationships necessary to make that happen. I have always fought to make sure that Tucson is a welcoming city to everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, documentation, or background. As a Councilmember, I led Tucson in becoming the first city in the state to take a position against Arizona’s racist SB1070 “show me your papers” law. I also led the effort to declare Tucson as an “Immigrant Welcoming City” and spearheaded a joint resolution with Pima County, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and the Tohono O’odham Nation to oppose Trump’s border wall. In addition, I have worked with 3 different police chiefs to refine the Tucson Police Department’s general orders to prohibit collaboration with Border Patrol and prohibit TPD from asking victims and witnesses of crime about their immigration status. As Mayor, I will continue to push TPD to further emphasize the General Orders in the Police Academy in order to make sure all officers understand and abide by the protections for our undocumented community.

1. Why is it so important for you to become the next Mayor of Tucson, AZ.? I love Tucson and our amazing communities. I moved here 25 years ago to start my family, and I have worked hard to served Tucson as a volunteer, as an artist, and as a representative. An artist, I created the ceramic tile murals at the Broadway Underpass, and a lawmaker, I worked with the Red for Ed teacher’s movement to secure $415 million in new investments in public schools, including teacher pay raises. I also worked bring Obama’s Medicaid expansion to Arizona, which led to 400,000 people getting health coverage. I know that in Tucson our roads need a lot of work, so I led the effort to improve our infrastructure, including road repairs. That effort also created Tucson’s streetcar, which created thousands of jobs. I want to use my experience to find innovative ways to improve Tucson’s public schools. As Mayor, I would work with businesses, non-profits, parents and educators to identify best practices and new funding sources to create new opportunities for Tucson’s students–from after-school programs to job training–so our kids are prepared for jobs in the modern economy. 2) Our relationship with Mexico is crucial, and the purchasing power of its visitors is very important to our city’s economy. What is your experience in this matter, and how do you plan on maintaining this relationship? I could not agree more that our economic and cultural relationship with Mexico is an important part of our city’s foundation. Tucson is an immigrant-welcoming city, and like cities near national borders everywhere on Earth, trade with our close neighbor is both positive and necessary.
In the legislature, I worked to strengthen this relationship in several ways. In 2010, I voted AGAINST SB1070 in 2010, and spoke out against it as well. I was a critic of Governor Brewer, and stood up for deepening our ties with Sonora. When Governor Ducey was elected, I encouraged his policy of rebuilding the trade relationship that had been damaged by Governor Brewer. Even though I ran against Ducey in 2018, his embrace of cross border trade has been a bright spot in his administration. As Mayor, I would travel to Mexico regularly, and maintain positive relations with local governments in Hermosillo, Nogales and across Sonora. Our message must be that Tucson is open for business, and we welcome Mexican tourists, shoppers and business people. 3) Do you think The police should respect the fact that Tucson is considered a friendly and welcoming town. If so, how would you plan on sharing this message with Tucson’s residents and foreign visitors ? “Friendly and welcoming” is in Tucson’s DNA, and it’s one of the reasons I chose to raise my daughters here. Tucson police currently follow the policy of NOT asking people about their immigration status, which is the correct policy. Police are here to both protect and respect the people, and I know that Chief Magnus shares this belief. Not only do we want to encourage tourism and trade with our neighbors, but it is vitally important for our public safety that someone who is the victim of a crime should feel safe calling the police for help. It doesn’t matter whether that person is a longtime resident, a visitor, or a new arrival. As Mayor, I will share this message every single week, speaking through TV, radio, internet and print media. I will also encourage Tucson’s tourism center to continue to market our city in Mexico.

Hábitos Tóxicos
rimero vamos a definir que significa un hábito, la definición básica de lo que es un hábito está centrada en una rutina o comportamiento específico que regularmente se repite y en general se dá de manera inconciente. Todos tenemos diferentes tipos de hábitos, algunos pueden se buenos y otros nos pueden generar algun tipo de problema emocional o de conducta. Algunos ejemplos de buenos hábitos es hacer ejercicio, leer, escuchar música, etc. estas acciones en muchas personas ya se hace de manera automática y por supuesto que nos ayudan a cuidar nuestra salud. Sin embargo también existen hábitos que pueden considerarse tóxicos ya que pueden resultar en problemas emocionales y te pueden afectar en tu desarrollo emocional y también en tu salud fisica. Les voy a dar un ejemplo de un hábito que te impide tener un equilibrio emocional y social. Este hábito es el Pensamiento Tóxico. Este tipo de pensamientos tóxicos son irracionales o pensamientos deformados, es decir, es muy común que en muchas ocasiones pensamos de manera negativa y suponiendo cosas o construyendo historias catastróficas que no tienen un sustento lógico y como resultado de este manejo irracional del pensamiento podemos experimentar miedo, ansiedad, preocupación, incertidumbre, etc. nuestros dialogos internos nos dicen que las cosas no van a salir bien, somos como un director de cine, hacemos una pelicula de terror en nuestra cabeza y creemos que lo que estamos pensando se va a ser realidad y como consecuencia empezamos a sentir las emociones negativas de nuestra narrativa interna. Este es un hábito que nos puede enfermar emocionalmente, por lo que es importante que te hagas conciente de todos los pensamientos que produces y trata de preguntarte, ¿lo que estoy pensando es verdadero?, ¿realmente va a ocurrir?, ¿este pensamiento lo estoy alterando o deformando?. Lo mas interesante es que cuando tienes pensamientos catastróficos es 99% seguro que no va a ocurrir nada de lo que pensaste, pero por lo pronto ya te angustiastes o te dió miedo alguna situación en particular. Las emociones negativas que experimentas es el resultado del pensamiento tóxico, es como la película de “terror” que construiste.
5 consejos para educar a tus hijos con disciplina positiva
E
ducar con disciplina positiva tiene muchos beneficios, como acabamos de ver, pero no siempre es fácil hacerlo sin caer en la permisividad o en el exceso de autoridad en algunos momentos. Encontrar el equilibrio por parte de los padres requiere paciencia y un proceso de cambio personal, porque si queremos que el niño cambie debemos comenzar cambiando nosotros, nuestra actitud, conductas, y maneras de educar. Estas cinco pautas y consejos ayudarán a conseguirlo y a educar a tus hijos dentro de los principios de la disciplina positiva: 1. Empieza por practicar el respeto mutuo y, para ello, entiende al niño. Es importante ponernos en su lugar, identificando tanto sus creencias como sus emociones –todo aquello que está detrás del comportamiento del pequeño–, porque es fundamental comprender las razones por las que se comporta de una determinada manera si queremos ayudarle a corregir sus errores. 2. Elimina el castigo y evita hacerle sentir culpable. Hazle ver que le comprendes y que aceptas su equivocación, pero que le ayudarás a resolver su problema, o al menos a evitar que cometa el mismo
error en futuras ocasiones. A veces recurrimos a los castigos y estos solo sirven para crear culpas; en su lugar podemos hablar con él y explicarle que es normal equivocarse, pero que podemos hacer otras cosas para no equivocarnos la próxima vez. 3. No olvides ser firme con tus decisiones, límites y normas, siempre con amabilidad y cariño. Uno de los errores que cometemos al tratar de aplicar la disciplina positiva es alejarnos de la firmeza y caer en la permisividad. El cariño y el afecto han de ir acompañados de la firmeza; se trata de ser amables y firmes al mismo tiempo. 4. Deja que sean responsables y no trates de controlar todo, dale oportunidades a tus hijos para actuar de acuerdo a su criterio. Puedes ayudarles a gestionar su comportamiento, pero debes darles la oportunidad de desarrollarse. Si el niño tiene que encargarse de recoger su ropa, por ejemplo, dejaremos que lo haga sin nuestro control, porque el objetivo es que aprenda a hacerlo y aprenda a ser responsable. 5. Habla con el niño, y utiliza el diálogo no solo para saber por qué se comporta mal, sino también para ayudarle a entender su comportamiento y favorecer el desarrollo de estrategias para controlarlo.
n una época en la que se prioriza la inmediatez y la gratificación instantánea, los niños apenas tienen tiempo de aprender a descubrir sus emociones y desarrollar el autocontrol, de esta manera, terminan convirtiéndose en personas que no saben gestionar sus sentimientos y a las que les cuesta disfrutar de su entorno. Por eso, si queremos educar a niños felices, equilibrados emocionalmente y con una autoestima sana, es importante que les enseñemos a gestionar sus sentimientos y a practicar el autocontrol emocional desde edades tempranas. Juegos perfectos para enseñarles a los niños a regular sus emociones 1. La hormiga y el león Se trata de un juego muy entretenido que seguramente le encantará a tu pequeño y con el que podrá aprender a respirar de forma profunda y a ganar en autocontrol. Basta que le pidas que, primero, respire como haría un león, el gran rey de la selva, y luego que respire como si fuese una hormiga, un animalito diminuto que apenas se percibe en el suelo. La clave radica en que el niño aprenda a regular su respiración, una habilidad muy útil que podrá poner en práctica cuando se sienta ansioso. 2. El lobo de los tres cerditos Se trata de una de las historias infantiles más populares, por lo que es probable que tu hijo esté encantado de dramatizar la escena en la que el lobo intenta derribar la casa de los tres cerditos. Para comenzar, puedes pedirle que sople sobre objetos pesados como puede ser un libro fino e ir reduciendo paulatinamente el peso, con un balón, un bolígrafo y por último, un objeto ligero como un folio de papel. Es un juego muy divertido que promueve un estado de relajación, a la vez que reduce la ansiedad en el pequeño a través de la respiración. 3. La llegada de la primavera Con este juego el niño no solo alcanzará un estado físico de relajación, sino que también aprenderá a gestionar mejor sus estados afectivos. Para comenzar debes explicarle en qué consiste el juego, puedes decirle: “Estamos al final del invierno y te has convertido en un bloque de hielo, pero la primavera está a la vuelta de la esquina y poco a poco te irás derritiendo para convertirte en una preciosa planta”. De esta manera, el niño comenzará a actuar como si fuese un bloque de hielo, completamente rígido, y poco a poco irá relajando los músculos.

¡Resolviendo conflictos!
U
na de las habilidades más importantes de la vida es que tienes que aprender a resolver conflictos y/o problemas relacionales. Si no lo hacemos, vamos a pasar una gran parte de nuestras vidas, muy miserables, porque somos personas imperfectas y tenemos conflictos casi todos los días de nuestras vidas. Si queremos arreglar el o los conflictos, vamos a tener que hacer el primer movimiento. Eso implicará que vamos a tener que pedirle ayuda a Dios, porque hace falta valor para enfrentarse a alguien con quien tenemos un conflicto y poder decirle a esa persona que queremos sentarnos y resolverlo. Entonces, no hagas lo que la otra persona está haciendo mal. No hagamos un montón de acusaciones
o maneras en las que hemos sido heridos. Comenzamos con lo que ha sido nuestra falta. El conflicto puede ser un 99.99 % culpa de la otra persona. ¡Pero siempre podemos encontrar algo que confesar! Tal vez fue nuestra pobre respuesta, incluso si fue defensiva. Tal vez fue nuestra actitud. Tenemos una debilidad en nuestras vidas que otros ven claramente, pero que quizás nosotros nunca la hemos visto. Esos son puntos ciegos. Tienes debilidades de la que no tienes ni idea. Ese es el por qué necesitamos resolver el problema con un corazón humilde y comenzar con nuestros propios errores. Free English Lessons Each week Ward 6, hosts a group called the International Learning Center. They hold sessions twice each week Ward 6 office, and also two times per week in Paul Durham’s office. The goal is to teach people conversational English, self-paced, in a casual atmosphere, and for free. The classes are held here at W6 each Friday and Saturday from 6pm until 8:30pm. Paul’s hosting their morning sessions on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s from 8:30am until 10:30am. os integrantes de este “CORO PARROQUIAL” llegamos a formarlo hasta cuarenta y dos personas; unos salían y otros entraban, pero nos sosteníamos más o menos en ese número, tomó tanta importancia que fue considerado como el mejor del Estado de Sonora. Por lo que en muchas partes nos solicitaban para actos solemnes principalmente en otras Iglesias, inclusive salimos fuera de nuestra Entidad donde nos presentábamos muy formalitos como debía de ser. El Coro duro como veinticinco años mientras lo dirigió el Sacerdote Zacatecano LUIS LOPEZ R.Q., hombre que en música se la sabia de todas. Fue muy duro como maestro, no perdonaba nada! Por supuesto quienes la regábamos nos ponía como palo de gallinero, fue una experiencia buenísima para tomar el curso de nuestras vidas; creo que si no fue la totalidad si fue la mayoría quienes encausamos una trayectoria correcta, gracias a Luis malo así le decían, porque había otro Luis bueno y ese era parte del coro y se llamaba Pbro. José Joaquín (Sido), los Donjuán eran Ángel “el pelón” y Ruben el “Tun Tun” (músico), si mi memoria no está atrofiada también estuvieron los hermanos Carrillo Malvido Octavio y Horacio “El Huesitos”, Pbro. También de vez en cuando nos visitaban sacerdotes de otras Parroquias y seminaristas de Hermosillo, que mientras estaban en esta se unían al coro siendo de mucho valor su cooperación. Como verán todos los que formábamos el coro teníamos diferentes actividades, siempre nos llevamos bien nos acomodamos en todo momento nos protegíamos a morir. Ninguna quinceañera o novia quería entrar a la iglesia o casarse sin que les cantáramos música sacra y popular, además de que les cobrábamos éramos los invitados de honor a la pachanga, ya teníamos formadas las comisiones para hacernos de las bebidas, comida y el baile imagínense pura vida (no piensen en gandallas, por favor), desafortunadamente poco a poco se fue acabando algunos miembros se fueron a radicar a otras ciudades, nos quedamos pocos y todo acabo cuando se nos fue nuestro Director Pbro. Luis Lopez R.Q., quien fue enterrado en el panteón Municipal de este lugar. De los cuarenta y dos miembros del coro pasaron a mejor vida la mayoría, quedamos vivos muy a fuerzas el Prof. Astolfo Lizárraga Gallegos, Prof. Jesús Montano Ruiz, Samuel Arreola de la Paz, Antonio “Tono” Nubes Duarte, Octavio Malvido Carrillo, Dolores “Lolito” Figueroa Estrella, Manuel García Baldenegro, Edmundo “Mundo” Parra Egurrola y un servidor Ángel Gallardo Valenzuela. Por no haber vuelto a saber de ellos no se si viven o mueren Lamberto “Cuyo” Valencia Núñez, Emeterio “Miliro” Gonzalez, Silvino Preciado, Octavio “El Quemado” Malvido y Enrique Arrizon Preciado (¡ojalá vivan y estén cagaditos de la risa!). veces, reciclar en casa se nos hace difícil ¿Plástico y latas van juntos? ¿Y un tetrabrik es cartón o va con los envases? Nos asaltan las dudas y nos entra la pereza. Pero, si eres responsable y quieres devolver a este mundo un poco de lo que te da cada día, vamos a ver una serie de claves sencillas para reciclar.
1. Residuos orgánicos
Es la bolsa que debe contener los restos de comida, y otros desechos como los tapones de corcho, el papel de baño y las toallitas de higiene, así como los pañales. Otros residuos como la cerámica o la porcelana también suelen ir en este cubo.
2. Envases
Plásticos: botellas y envases de plástico, bolsas, tetrabriks, bandejas de corcho blanco y mayas de fruta. En general, todos los envases que estén fabricados con plástico, incluso cuchillas de afeitar o juguetes. Metales: latas, chapas, tapaderas de metal, papel de aluminio y aerosoles como desodorantes o productos para el pelo. Madera: cajas de fruta, estuches de alimentos como vino, queso o galletas.
3. Vidrio

he nation’s largest grocery chain, Krogers has publicly stated they will decrease plastic bag use until fully terminating plastic bags in store by 2025, the company orders around 6 billion plastic bags per year. Kroger operates 2,7779 grocery stores in over 35 states. They serve around 9 million people each day through different grocery chains. The company expects Seattle chains to be completely plastic free by next year. Many companies across the United States are also taking the initiative to reduce plastic waste. Here’s a list of the following companies making the effort to reduce plastic. Disney, Marriott, Mcdonalds, and Starbucks are removing plastic straws for good. Dunkin’ Donuts aims to eliminate polystyrene foam cups by next year. Royal Caribbeans 50 cruise ships will also eliminate straws by this year.
