The sound suggests the situation of an era, a society, whether it be a political, economical or sociological point of view. Inciting révolutions and changes of a place, it is today the source of all kind of troubles and urban cacophonies as much as it is present and misunderstood. The acoustic identity of a territory, a neighborhood, is corrupt by an overall disinterest of the sound, making up the memory of a place.
It would be imperative to establish a city and its unique identity, not by making it silent and quiet, but in finding a right way between the calm and the loud-ness, the dynamic places and the resting ones. To do so, it is essential to see, or rather to hear, the sound in other ways.
The proposition that we make for this cultural center consists to give the possibility to experiment the sound effects, through a cultural continuum, shaped by a folding architecture.
