My wife Bev and I about 2 yea rs after the accident.
T
he 16th of April 2014 started off as a normal working day, like Waking up in ICU any other. My wife and I left for work at around 6:30am, she Ten days later I woke up in ICU at St Augustines Hospital. Three was in our bakkie and I was on my motorbike. Little did we or four nurses came to me and said that they were so happy that know how drastically our lives would change only 10 minutes later I was awake, as they had been praying for me since I first arrived on this rainy morning. At an intersection in Westville (Durban), at the hospital. I had shattered my left knee when I fell off the a car suddenly turned in front of me, causing me to slam on my motorbike and that had severed the blood flow to the rest of the brakes. Because the roads were wet, I lost control of the bike and leg. Apparently during the first of many operations, my blood landed underneath a car. The last thing that I remember is a man pressure had dropped so low that they had to stop operating – coming to me and asking if I was okay. I took my phone out of my otherwise I would have died. Because it took them a long time backpack, told him the names of my wife and to operate, my leg basically died. Later my boss, and asked him to please phone them. kidneys packed up. I then closed my eyes… “I needed to be
thankful that I was alive, even though I had lost a leg.”

I praise God for all the people who were praying for me, both inside and outside the hospital. I spent nine weeks in hospital, during which time the doctors were battling to save
