Are you a complete beginner looking to make sense of how to use a sewing machine or are you looking to refresh your skills and wanting to have guidance on aspects of the sewing machine. On this course you will learn all you need to know about using and making the most of a sewing machine. A sewing kit (includes Fabric scissors, Paper scissors, Tape measure, Unpicker, Pins, Sewing needles and 1 x good quality sewing thread in neutral colour (Gutermann, Coats, Sylko etc.) and an 8” Standard zipper in neutral colour.

Dressmaking: Create a Pattern & Make a Circle Skirt in a Day

A follow on course from Basic Sewing Machine Skills in a Day where you will make a simple circle skirt with a zip. Learn to take body measurements and cut a pattern to size. This course is aimed at enhancing learners with basic and intermediate skills. You will also develop pattern cutting and construction techniques, the end result will be a skirt from your measurements. You will need to bring a sewing kit, note book & pen and a commercial pattern, details of which will be sent prior to the course starting. Start Date
