ummer doesn’t have to be the season of bad hair days. With some extra TLC, your hair can look great on the steamiest days. . Start summer with a trim. You’ll get rid of split ends and refresh your style. You might need a mid-season cut, too. Hair really does grow faster in the summer. Make a daily habit of applying a hair care product that contains UV ﬁlters (these can be in spray, gel, or cream formulas). These products protect hair from sun damage and help keep colour-processed hair from fading. Saturate strands before taking a dip. If your hair is drenched with clean water or leave-in conditioner, it won’t absorb as much saltwater or pool chemicals. It’s also a good idea to try to rinse your hair after a swim. Switch to a moisturising shampoo and conditioner. You may be washing your hair more frequently to deal with summer’s sweat and grime. At least once or twice a week, give your hair a break from hairdryers, straighteners, and curling tongs. Try washing your hair at night and piling it up in a bun, a plait, or ponytail before you head to bed. When you wake up, you’ll have a nice beachy wave that is a perfect look for weekends. When the air is hot and humid, frizz is going to happen, accept it. Obviously hair that’s healthy and well-maintained is your best defense against frizz, plus a drop or two of an anti-frizz oil. But don’t waste your summer trying to ﬁght frizz, you can’t win. Instead, embrace it with an easy to wear hairdo like a slick ponytail, high bun, or n side plait, it’s summertime...enjoy it!

Además es buena idea enjuagar el pelo después de bañarse. Cambie a un champú hidratante y acondicionador. Puede lavar el pelo con más frecuencia para combatir el sudor y la suciedad del verano. Al menos una o dos veces por semana, déle un descanso del secador, de la plancha y del rizador. Procure lavar el pelo de noche, hacer un moño, trenzas o bien cola de caballo antes de dirigirse a la cama. Al despertarse, tendrá un precioso pelo ondulado playero que da el toque

perfecto para los ﬁnes de semana. Cuando el aire está caliente y húmedo, se pondrá frizz, acéptalo. Claro está que el pelo sano y bien cuidado es la mejor defensa en contra del frizz con la protección de un par de gotas de aceite anti-frizz. Pero no malgaste el verano intentando combatir el frizz, no se puede ganar esa batalla. En vez de luchar con ello, acéptelo con un estilo desenfadado, como por ejemplo, con una sencilla cola de caballo, moño alto o trenza de un lado.
