The emerging Norwegian market is currently primarily being serviced out of the Lubbers facility in Esbjerg, Denmark in close concert with our Norwegian partner SR Group.

In view of the increasing demand from customers to be physically present in Norway, Lubbers has decided to start its own sales office in Stavanger and strengthen the relationships in this important country.

In order to facilitate its plans in Norway, Lubbers took on board Steffan Christensen, as per 1st of August. The 37 year old Christensen has a strong background in the oil and gas logistics arena. He held management positions with Maersk Logistics in Denmark and UK and as logistics manager with Schlumberger in Norway.

Offshore gaat voor Hole-In-One Na het overweldigende succes van het voetbaltoernooi in juni waagt het organisatieteam van North Sea Energy uit Den Helder zich nu aan een nieuwe uitdaging. Het North Sea Energy BDO Offshore Open gaat op 21 september plaatsvinden op de green van Golfclub Ooghduyne in Julianadorp.

“Het is goed om zoveel mensen in de olie-, gas- en wind energiebranche zo enthousiast

te zien voor het golfspel”, zegt initiatiefnemer Dennis Schouwenaar van NSE. “Er zijn nu al 26 bedrijven en instellingen ingeschreven die allemaal één of meer teams van 4 personen afvaardigen. Maar er komen er nog meer en ook zijn er nogal wat individuele golfers die zich hebben aangemeld.

Schouwenaar en zijn medeorganisator Eva van der Plaat hopen nu maar op mooi weer. We kunnen een groot aantal spelers

verwelkomen en we houden ook een zogeheten Master Clinic. Op die manier hebben we voor alle deelnemers een goed programma.

Hoofdsponsor van het toernooi is BDO Accountants & Adviseurs uit Den Helder. Directeur Michel Krediet (zelf enthousiast golfer) verheugt zich op de toernooidag.

Schouwenaar geeft aan dat dit ook één van de doelstellingen van het toernooi is. “Wie actief is in deze branche kan op een ongedwongen manier met elkaar van gedachten wisselen”, zegt hij.

En niet alleen tijdens het toernooi, dat om 12.00 uur begint met een welkomstdrankje en tot circa 17.30 uur duurt. “Na de prijsuitreiking begint de borrel en vervolgens

RedWave houdt koers vast

Het in Beverwijk gevestigde uitzend- en detacheringbureau RedWave (voorheen USG Energy) viert in 2014 haar 25-jarig jubileum. RedWave is één van de weinige, gespecialiseerde bedrijven die vooral in Nederland maar ook elders in de wereld goed opgeleide On- en Offshore getrainde medewerkers beschikbaar stelt voor de uitvoering van drilling-, production-, medical services, marine contracting en contruction & maintenance werkzaamheden. Dejour IP tests at Kokopelli yield a combined 6.8 MMCF/D Dejour Energy Inc. (NYSE MKT:DEJ / TSX:DEJ), an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company operating in North America’s Piceance Basin and Peace River Arch regions, announces that early natural gas production at the Company’s flagship Kokopelli project has now exceeded 4,500 MCF/D of rich gas (1.181 MMBTU’s per MCF), as the four new Williams Fork completions continue to unload fracture fluid while flowing to sales at restricted rates.

As previously disclosed, these four wells were completed in

the Williams Fork formation with eight fracture stages per well and placed into production under Dejour’s policy of green completions. To date, approximately one third of the fluid injected has been recovered and the wells continue to unload fluid at a combined rate of 850 BWP/D. Initial four hour well tests were performed on each well on August 24 and 25.

Currently the well production is being choked back in order to facilitate the recovery of fracture fluids. Combined sales of natural gas from the four wells have increased steadily over the last month to 4,500 MCF/D (5,300 MMBTU’s per day). Additional production growth is expected as the wells continue to clean up following the hydraulic fracturing operation.

The average well flow rate during the test period was 1,700 MCF/D, for a total of 6,800 MCF/D for the four wells, with a high of 2,100 MCF/D and a low of 1,300 MCF/D.

While Dejour maintains a 71.5% WI in the project, its share in the net revenue stream from these initial wells is ~25% before payout and ~40% after 150% of payout

based on an updated financial deal with the Company’s Denver based drilling fund partner.

Dejour’s liquids rich gas is transported and sold through gathering, processing and transportation arrangements with WPX Energy Inc. (NYSE:WPX) and Williams Energy Services LLC. Condensate yield from the wells is estimated to be between 12 and 15 BBLS per MMCF. Exact condensate yield will be determined upon diminishment of water flow currently being experienced.

With the successful completion of our initial Williams Fork development program, Dejour is now shifting focus to the development of the deeper Mancos (Niobrara) high-pressure gas resource, a newly developing trend in the Piceance that is expected to escalate through 2014.

This extremely prolific resource underlays Dejour’s leasehold in the Piceance and provides potential for a number of high return drilling opportunities to the Company.

In the first week of August the Mexican Navy (Secretaria de Marina) and Damen Shipyards Group signed a contract for a fourth Damen Stan Patrol 4207. The Dutch ship design and shipbuilding company will supply the Mexican Navy with the design and material package with which ASTIMAR 1 (the Mexican Navy yard in Tampico) will build the patrol vessel. In addition, Damen will assist ASTIMAR 1 with technical support in order to optimize the delivery time and quality of the vessel.

The Damen Stan Patrol 4207 is designed to perform patrol duties in coastal areas and the economic exclusive zone. Other clients who operate similar vessels in the region include navies and coast guards of Jamaica, Barbados, the Dutch Caribbean, Honduras, the Canadian Coast Guard and the US Coast Guard. The USCG recently received five Fast Response Cutters for the Sentinel Class, out of a series of 58, which are based on the same Damen Stan Patrol design.

Two previous patrol vessels, ARM Tenochtitlan (PC-331) and ARM Teotihuacan (PC-332) are already deployed by the Mexican Navy.

This Mexican patrol vessel is the fourth of this class to be built in Mexico. As with other clients, Damen puts its DTC-program (Damen Technical Cooperation) to use. This service is offered to both young and experienced shipyards and aims, if and when the client so desires, to develop their shipbuilding capabilities with respect to Damen vessels.

Fairmount Sherpa delivered accommodation barge offshore Angola Tug Fairmount Sherpa has delivered accommodation barge Ayang 2 offshore Angola.

The barge was towed from Romania to a location offshore Porto Amboim.

The Ayang 2 is an accommodation and work barge owned by the offshore division of Korean group Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

The 115 meter long and 32 meters wide barge, which can accommodate over 350 people, had undergone an upgrading at DSME’s Romanian shipyard in Mangalia, located at the Black Sea coast.

Den Helder Airport altijd in ontwikkeling Vanaf mei 1981 worden vanaf Den Helder Airport helikoptervluchten uitgevoerd ten behoeve van de olie- en gasindustrie offshore. En vanaf die datum heeft de luchthaven parallel aan de ontwikkelingen offshore een gestage groei doorgemaakt.

Ruim dertig jaar na dato gaan deze ontwikkelingen nog altijd onverminderd door, zegt luchthavendirecteur Conny van den Hoff. Zeker nu onlangs tussen Maritiem Vliegkamp De Kooy en Den Helder Airport een nieuwe medegebruikovereenkomst voor de komende tien jaar is gesloten.

“Door de ondertekening van deze overeenkomst is niet alleen de toekomst van Den Helder Airport gewaarborgd, maar is ook een groot aantal banen op onze luchthaven veilig gesteld”, zegt Conny van den Hoff. “Toen ik hier in 1992 kwam werken, werden jaarlijks ongeveer 13.300 vliegbewegingen uitgevoerd en telde de luchthaven 32 medewerkers. Door de jaren heen is het aantal vliegbewegingen gestegen naar ruim 23.000 en het aantal werknemers naar 500.

Op Den Helder Airport zijn dertig bedrijven gevestigd, waaronder vijf helikoptermaatschappijen. Vorig jaar zijn ruim 140.000 passagiers onze balies gepasseerd. Dit betreft met name mensen die op de platformen in de Nederlandse sector van de Noordzee werken.

Naast de eigen werknemers biedt Den Helder Airport ook de 5.000 mensen die werkzaam zijn bij haven- en offshorebedrijven alsmede toeleveranciers zekerheid. En Den Helder kan zich hierdoor verder ontwikkelen als offshorehoofdstad van de zuidelijke Noordzee.”

Nieuwe ontwikkelingen Vooral de afgelopen jaren hebben op de civiele luchthaven veel nieuwe ontwikkelingen plaatsgevonden. Heel ingrijpend waren de complete renovatie van de start/landingsbaan en de aanleg van een parallelle taxibaan in 2011 en de bouw van hangaar 5 in 2010. Op 1 januari van dit jaar werd de nieuwbouw grenzend aan deze hangaar opgeleverd.

Bijzonder aan hangaar 5 is dat op het dak zonnepanelen zijn geplaatst, waardoor in de eigen energiebehoefte kan worden voorzien. “Hangaar 5 wordt op dit moment gehuurd door de helikopteroperators DanCopter uit Denemarken en Noordzee Helikopters Vlaanderen (NHV) uit België”, vervolgt Conny van den Hoff. “DanCopter vliegt vanaf 1 juli 2012 voor NAM en Shell en NHV vanaf 1 januari 2013 voor Wintershall Noordzee.

Heli Holland Offshore heeft recentelijk een contact gesloten met Oranje-Nassau Energie. Verder is het aantal parkeerplaatsen met 165 uitgebreid tot een totaal van 865 en is dit jaar hard gewerkt aan de aanleg van de nieuwe brandstofinstallatie voor het aftanken van helikopters en vastevleugelvliegtuigen. Deze installatie wordt in september van dit jaar in gebruik genomen.” Op het wensenlijstje van Conny van den Hoff staat verder nog een hotel dat op loopafstand van Den Helder Airport zou moeten komen.

Onder de vlag van Peterson hebben negen oliemaatschappijen hun logistieke activiteiten gebundeld, waarbij zij gebruik maken van een door dit bedrijf ontwikkeld vessel sharing concept. “Hiervoor is de Southern North Sea (SNS) Pool met een gezamenlijke vloot van achttien bevoorradingsvaartuigen opgericht. Dit levert de betrokken oliemaatschappijen een aanzienlijke kostenbesparing op en het is minder belastend voor het milieu. Op basis van de positieve ervaringen die zijn

opgedaan met het delen van scheepsruimte, heeft Peterson op Den Helder Airport het Air Logistics Centre opgericht. Dit centrum verzorgt voor een aantal oliemaatschappijen het plannen van de helikoptervluchten.”

Een ontwikkeling die Conny van den Hoff nog graag wil realiseren is het opzetten van een lijndienst met vastevleugelvliegtuigen naar Aberdeen in Schotland. “Hierover praten wij op dit moment met diverse partijen en ik hoop dat we dit over niet al te lange tijd in ‘de lucht’ kunnen krijgen.”

Totale vloot De andere twee helikopteroperators die vanaf Den Helder Airport opereren, zijn CHC Helicopters Netherlands en Bristow Helicopters. “CHC is met een vloot van tien helikopters de grootste operator op onze luchthaven. Haar vloot bestaat uit zeven heli’s van het type AW139 en twee van het type EC155, waarmee respectievelijk twaalf en tien personen vervoerd worden, alsmede een grote Sikorsky S92 die achttien passagiers kan meenemen. CHC vliegt voor Centrica, Chevron, Dana Petroleum, GDF SUEZ, TAQA en Total. De heli’s van de oudere typen S76 en S61, waarmee CHC jaren heeft gevlogen, zijn de afgelopen jaren allemaal uitgefaseerd.

Bristow Helicopters opereert met twee grote Sikorsky’s S61-N die geheel zijn uitgerust voor SAR (Search And Rescue) operaties.

Zij worden ingehuurd door de branchevereniging NOGEPA, die de belangen behartigt van de in de Nederlandse sector van de Noordzee actieve oliemaatschappijen. Deze grote helikopters worden door de Kustwacht ingezet. Tellen we alle helikopters van de operators bij elkaar op dan komen we op een totaal van twintig civiele helikopters waarmee dagelijks wordt gevlogen.”

The contract is for the implementation of software from the AVEVA Plant portfolio; including AVEVA PDMS. The deal will see GSEGiprokauchuk’ PDMS licences increase tenfold over the next two years.

On 17 August TenneT’s largest offshore converter platform, DolWin alpha, was installed in the German North Sea. The topsides built by Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) was lifted by the world’s largest crane vessel Thialf of Heerema Marine Contractors and positioned on top of the already installed jacket. Ten days earlier the DolWin alpha topsides has set sail from Schiedam (near Rotterdam) to its final offshore destination 75 kilometers off the German Coast North of the island Borkum. The topsides is 62 meters long, 42 meters wide and 42 meters high and weighs more than 9,000 metric tons.

Heerema Fabrication Group was awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract by ABB in January 2011. Subsequently, fabrication of the topsides started at HFG’s Zwijndrecht fabrication yard and the 4,100 tons jacket at the Heerema Vlissingen yard. In the summer of 2012 the jacket was completed and installed by HMC’s Thialf in the German Bight.

The DolWin alpha platform measures in total 62 meters in length, 42 meters in width and approximately 95 meters in height and will weigh more than 16,000 tons.

“The installation is a significant moment for TenneT”, says Lex Hartman, member of TenneT’s

managing board. “DolWin1, the largest grid connection in the German North Sea, has moved a major step towards completion: In 2014, DolWin1 will be able to transport 800 MW of clean green energy to the German grid.”

Bibby Offshore secures multi million pound contract from Maersk Oil UK Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has secured a multimillion pound contract with Maersk Oil UK. The agreement will see Bibby Offshore commit its Diving Support Vessel (DSV), Bibby Sapphire, to support construction and inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) activities on Maersk Oil UK’s North Sea assets for a period of 365 continuous days, starting in early January 2014.Three further one year

options have also been agreed between the companies with engineering work commencing onshore in quarter three of 2013 Bibby Offshore has successfully delivered IRM services and construction work for Maersk Oil previously; in particular the Gryphon Area Reinstatement Programme which involved extensive installation and tie-ins of flexible & control jumpers, with pre-commissioning and testing carried out to connect the Gryphon ‘A’ FPSO.

Noviteit voor Offshore Den Helder: Wanted Oil & Gas Detacherings- en uitzendbureau Wanted Oil & Gas is nieuw in Den Helder en maakt deel uit van Wanted BV. De onderneming Wanted BV is ontstaan uit een samenwerking van vier technische bedrijven met ruim 25 jaar ervaring in de personeelsbemiddeling (Dulfer E&I, Sintra Uitzendbureau, ICS Consultants en Interwelding Lastechniek). Via deze krachtenbundeling stellen zij gekwalificeerde en getrainde professionals beschikbaar voor de olie- en gasindustrie, de scheepvaart, constructiebedrijven en overige industrie. Wanted Oil & Gas heeft kantoorruimte betrokken in het Luchthavenkantoor in Den Helder op de eerste verdieping.

“Eigenlijk is onze bedrijfsnaam kort en krachtig ‘Wanted’ en dat zou je kunnen vertalen met Wij zijn Gewenst en/of U bent Gewenst”, zegt unit manager Mark Hofland van Wanted Oil & Gas, dat op internet bekend staat als www.teamwanted.nl.

Dat het team Gewenst is, staat voor hem als een paal boven water. “We zijn met vier collega’s uit de personeelssector van de olie- en gasindustrie aan deze job begonnen en we hebben samen zo rond de zestig jaar ervaring in de business”, legt hij uit. Drie van de vier - Jolanda Riksman, Rob Smits en Mark Hofland zelf - zijn echte Heldernaren. “We wonen hier al jaren”, bevestigt Rob Smits, die als oudste van het viertal over de meeste ervaringsjaren beschikt.

Robin Plaggenburg was al werkzaam voor Wanted in Andijk en legde vandaaruit contacten tussen ervaren lassers, pijpfitters,

constructiemedewerkers en elektrotechnici enerzijds en het in de olie- en gasindustrie actieve bedrijfsleven anderzijds.

“Veel bedrijven hebben niet constant behoefte aan een groot aantal medewerkers, omdat ze geregeld projectmatig werken. Is zo’n project afgerond, dan is er voor hun technici enige tijd geen werk meer. Bij andere bedrijven is er dan weer wel behoefte aan deze deskundigen en wij zijn er een meester in om die steeds verschuivende vraag en aanbod-gegevens op elkaar af te stemmen”, weet hij. En omdat dit voor alle vier geldt - Jolanda Riksman is bijvoorbeeld al haar hele arbeidzame leven actief op Den Helder Airport in de olie- en gas industrie - was dit voor de initiatiefnemers van Wanted BV een prachtige kans om met hen de nieuwe organisatie in Den Helder gestalte te geven.

Maar het meest belangrijke van de taak is uiteraard het bezorgen van werk aan de olie- en gas-professionals en het invullen van de functies op drilling- en productieplatforms, bevoorradings- en guardschepen en bij de andere service gerichte en operationele dienstverleners in de branche. “We kennen de hele sector al ruim 25 jaar”, zegt Rob Smits. “We zijn bekend bij veel opdrachtgevers en ondersteunende bedrijven en kennen zelf ook veel mensen

die werkzaam zijn in de olie- en gasindustrie. We weten daarnaast hoe vervelend het voor de medewerkers kan zijn, wanneer ze na een mooi project een tijdje aan de kant moeten staan.

Daar willen wij dus iets aan doen”.

“We zien het als onze taak om degenen die de voorkeur geven aan een langdurige baan in de sector in contact te brengen met opdrachtgevers die graag met vaste betrouwbare en deskundige mensen werken “, legt Mark Hofland uit. Dit betekent in de praktijk dat mensen via Wanted

niet alleen voor een korte periode kunnen worden uitgezonden hoewel dat natuurlijk ook dagelijks voorkomt - maar ook voor een langdurige periodebij een opdrachtgever kunnen worden gedetacheerd. “Dat geeft beide partijen meer mogelijkheden en wij zien het als een uitdaging de juiste man of vrouw voor de juiste job te selecteren”, besluit de unit manager. Op 26 september aanstaande is iedereen welkom bij de officiële opening van het nieuwe kantoor.

Detacheren boven uitzenden Het viertal kent de olie- en gaswereld op hun duimpje. “Dat we op de luchthaven een kantoor hebben geopend, is omdat we onze mensen de gelegenheid willen bieden snel even binnen te wippen voor een vraag of een mededeling”, zegt Mark Hofland.

“Ze komen hier bij iedere shift toch langs en dus is het veel gemakkelijker om voorafgaand aan het vertrek van de helikopter even op kantoor te komen”, vult Jolanda Riksman aan. “Het persoonlijke contact gaat hier inderdaad veel gemakkelijker en is dan ook veel plezieriger dan elkaar op afspraak ontmoeten op een kantoor elders”, bevestigt Robin

HB RENTALS OFFICIALLY OPENS NEW EASTERN HEMISPHERE HEADQUARTERS Offshore accommodation and workspace specialists HB Rentals has officially opened its new eastern hemisphere headquarters in the North East of Scotland.

The purpose built £1 million facility, located in Sauchen, was officially opened by the Provost of Aberdeenshire, Councillor Jill Webster, in a ceremony

attended by HB Rentals’ clients, suppliers, employees and senior management.

Provost Webster said: “HB Rentals’ new facility represents a significant investment in Aberdeenshire and we welcome this boost to the local economy through employment opportunities and increased business activity

in the area.The facility is ideally located at the centre of the North East oil and gas industry in Aberdeenshire benefitting from being located in an area consistently judged to have the highest quality of life in Scotland as well as being an ideal base for HB’s international growth plans.”

With over 500sqm of covered workshop area and employing a multi-disciplined workforce of around 46 people, the new premises will handle all manufacturing for the company’s eastern hemisphere and allow it to build and consolidate the fleet of A60 accommodation units it currently supplies as well as handling any custom build projects the firm receives.

The base is seen as crucial to HB Rentals’ ambitious growth targets for its key operations in the region which include Europe, West Africa, the Caspian and Middle East.

Serinus Energy Inc. announces Brunei Block L exploration period officially extended Serinus Energy Inc. (“Serinus”, “SEN” or the “Company”), an international upstream oil and gas exploration and production company, advises that the Brunei National Petroleum Company (“PetroleumBRUNEI”) has approved the Company’s request for a 3 month extension of the Block L Production Sharing Agreement (“PSA”). The new date for completing the Minimum Work Obligations for Phase 2 of the Exploration Period under the terms of the PSA is now set as 27 November 2013.

The Lukut Updip-1 (“LKU-1”) exploration well is currently drilling ahead at a measure depth of 2,070 metres. Planned total measured depth for the LKU-1 well is 2,960 metres.

Serinus has a 90% interest in the Block L with indirect whollyowned subsidiary Kulczyk Oil Brunei Limited having a 40% interest and indirect wholly-owned subsidiary AED SEA (operator) having a 50% interest. The remaining 10% interest is owned by a private Brunei company at arm’s length to Serinus.

About the Company Serinus is an international upstream oil and gas exploration and production company with a diversified portfolio of projects in Ukraine, Brunei, Tunisia, Romania and Syria and with a risk profile ranging from exploration in Brunei, Romania and Syria to production and development in Ukraine and Tunisia. The common shares of the Company trade under trading symbol “SEN” on both the WSE (Warsaw Stock Exchange) and the TSX. In Ukraine, Serinus owns an effective 70% interest in KUB-Gas LLC through its 70% shareholding

of KUBGas Holdings Limited. The assets of KUB-Gas LLC consist of 100% interests in five licences near to the City of Lugansk in the northeast part of Ukraine. Four of the licences are gas producing.

In Tunisia, Serinus owns a 100% working interest in the Chouech Essaida, Ech Chouech, Sanrhar and Zinnia concessions, and a 45% working interest in the Sabria concession. Four of the concessions are currently producing oil or gas.

In Brunei, Serinus owns a 90% working interest in a production sharing agreement which gives the Company the right to explore for and produce oil and natural gas from Block L, a 1,123 square kilometre area covering onshore and offshore areas in northern Brunei.

In Romania, Serinus owns an undivided 60% working interest in the onshore Satu Mare concession, a 2,949 square kilometre exploration and development block, in north western Romania.

In Syria, Serinus holds a participating interest of 50% in the Syria Block 9 production sharing contract which provides the right to explore for and, upon the satisfaction of certain conditions, to produce oil and gas from Block 9, a 10,032 square kilometre area in northwest Syria. The Company has an agreement to assign a 5% ownership interest to a third party which is subject to the approval of Syrian authorities, and which, if approved, would leave the Company with a remaining effective interest of 45% in Syria Block 9. Serinus declared force majeure, with respect to its operations in Syria, in July 2012.

Formaco verwacht komende jaren een vloedgolf aan opdrachten Voor Formaco Forgings & Castings directeur ing. Robert Heester is het duidelijk. De komende jaren wordt er een grote stroom opdrachten verwacht, voornamelijk uit de sectoren off-shore en maritiem. Het zal hoofdzakelijk energie-gerelateerd equipment zijn voor de olie- en gaswinning en aanverwante industrieën zoals de scheepsbouw en boorplatformen.

“We merken uit de markt dat het enorm druk aan het worden is. Als grote off-shore en scheepsbouwbedrijven nu al rapporteren dat ze mega-orders binnenhalen, die veel groter zijn dan de opdrachten die ze in de topjaren 2007 / 2008 gerealiseerd hebben, dan kan het niet anders zijn, dan dat we in de komende jaren tot over onze oren in het werk zitten”, aldus Robert Heester.

“Die vraag zie je niet in één bedrijf, maar over de hele linie.

Op macro-economisch niveau wordt al langer geconstateerd, dat de wereldbehoefte aan energie behoorlijk aan het stijgen is en dat de grote opdrachtgevers er op in zijn aan het spelen. Gezien de lange levertijden op bijvoorbeeld groot giet- en smeedwerk is een vroegtijdige onderkenning van de marktbehoefte voor een bedrijf ook van levensbelang”.

Reservering van productiecapaciteit Robert Heester: “Onze productiecapaciteit op het gebied van groot giet- en smeedwerk voor het jaar 2014 is nu al aardig ingevuld.

Nu zien we dat onze grote opdrachtgevers in de Benelux al opties bij ons neerleggen voor productiecapaciteit in 2015 en verder om deze ramp-up op te kunnen vangen. Zouden ze dat niet doen, dan vissen ze straks achter het net. Ondanks de recessie hebben onze grote toeleveranciers op ons vakgebied de laatste jaren eigenlijk allemaal goed geïnvesteerd en zijn helemaal up-to-date. Ook de vaste krachten zijn veelal allemaal behouden gebleven. Eigenlijk hebben onze

partners constant wel werk gehad, alhoewel de marges wel onder druk hebben gestaan. Thans is er echter een ommezwaai aan de gang die zijn weerga niet kent”.

Sterke band “Omdat Formaco als vaste afnemer altijd al een sterke band heeft gehad met zijn toeleveranciers kan de komende vloedgolf aan opdrachten in goede banen worden geleid en succesvol worden afgewerkt.

Dat is essentieel. Onze partners gaan immers niet voor nieuwe klanten die ze niet kennen; dat is te risicovol. Met dergelijke langlopende opdrachten, levertijden en hoge specificaties wordt er bij voorkeur gewerkt met vertrouwde afnemers. Dat geeft ook zekerheid aan onze opdrachtgevers: zeker weten dat er volgens de afspraken geleverd gaat worden”, aldus een zelfbewuste Robert Heester.

Grote namen Hij vervolgt: “Wij betrekken ons groot en zwaar giet- en smeedwerk voor onze klanten in de Benelux uitsluitend van WestEuropese partners. Om er enkele te noemen: Metalcam Italy, met een eigen gieterij en smeedwerk van 4-25 ton stuksgewicht en gespecialiseerd in hoog-gelegeerd staal en eindbewerkingen, FMA Italy met ringen tot Ø7 mtr. en zware smeedstukken tot 60 ton stuksgewicht, Irizar Forge Spain voor gesmede haken, kabelschijven en speciale hijsblokken, Carl Vorlaender Germany voor hoog-gelegeerd gesmeed staal met korte

doorlooptijden en kleinere ringen, assen en blokken, en verder: LBI France voor centrifugaal gegoten non ferro en stainless steel bussen en ringen en sinds enkele jaren: Gerdau Spain voor gietdelen tot 130 ton, veelal eindbewerkt.

Daarnaast hebben we nog Turkije waar een klein aantal vaste staalgieterijen uitstekend in onze behoefte voorzien”.

Beurzen Formaco is inmiddels geen onbekende speler meer in het vakgebied van grote speciale giet- en smeeddelen. Al 15 jaar bemiddelt Formaco tussen grote afnemers in de Benelux en grote toeleveringsbedrijven in WestEuropa. “Klanten kennen ons en daarom is het ook belangrijk regelmatig onze neus te laten zien. Dat doen we dan onder andere ook op de komende beurs “Off-shore Energy” in de Rai in Amsterdam op 15 en 16 oktober 2013 met een grote kopstand.

We pakken groot uit en staan er dan ook met praktisch alle vertegenwoordigers van onze West-Europese toeleveranciers.

Een zeer internationaal gezelschap dus, maar wel met alle specialismen die we in huis hebben. We zullen ook wel moeten, willen we de komende opdrachtenstromen en turn-key projecten in goede banen kunnen leiden”, aldus Robert Heester.

En zoals hij zelf zegt: “Laat maar komen, wij zijn er klaar voor!”
