Oil leaking shipwreck to be cleared of bunker fuel Mammoet Salvage, the world’s leader in solutions for lifting, transportation, installation and decommissioning of large and heavy structures, has started removing up to 700 tons of bunker fuel from the Brigadier General M.G. Zalinski, the U.S. Army transport ship which sank 67 years ago off Canada’s west coast.

The vessel ran aground in 1946 some 100 km south of Prince Rupert, Canada. Although the entire crew survived, the wreck with a quantity of general cargo, including bombs and ammunition in its holds, and up to 700 tons of fuel in its tanks, wasn’t located for decades. Oil slicks spotted by fisherman in 2003 eventually led to the Zalinski’s discovery in some 27 m of water.

Inspections revealed that after almost seven decades in salt water the fuel tanks and bulkheads of the 77 m long vessel are seriously corroded. This summer, the Canadian Coast Guard announced a cleanup operation in order to avert the looming environmental disaster, and has contracted Mammoet Salvage for the removal of the bunker oil.

Mammoet Salvage uses the well-tried hot tapping method to extract the up to 700 tons of oil from the shipwreck. First, a hole is drilled through the hull and into the tank. Then a heat exchange element is inserted. Applying heat lowers the viscosity of the bunker

fuel, and allows it to be pumped from the tanks to the surface, and stored onboard a vessel. Water is subsequently applied into the tank to equalize pressure and maintain the tanks integrity. Although this method has been applied before, the inverted position of the Zalinski and its location on a steep underwater cliff complicates the operation. In addition, the use of divers is restricted due to strong 2,5 m/s tidal currents.

The operations are carried out together with Mammoet’s strategic partner, Global Diving & Salvage from Seattle, USA. Moreover, high winds and downpours can make operating in this region a challenge. Given favorable weather conditions, Mammoet Salvage expects to finish the cleanup operation in December.

Dana Petroleum finds more gas in North Sea Dana Petroleum has discovered gas in the Pharos field in the UK southern North Sea. The jackup Noble Lynda Bossler drilled the 47/5d-6 well, which encountered gas in a Rotliegendes-age sandstone reservoir.

According to partner Parkmead, downhole data gathered included wireline logs, gas samples, reservoir pressures, and coring of the reservoir. Detailed evaluation of the discovery will follow to determine the volume of in-place gas. Pharos could be jointly developed with the Platypus

gas field, 14 km (8.7 mi) distant, which was discovered in 2010 and appraised by a horizontal well in 2012. A flow test on Platypus delivered 27 MMcf/d (764,555 cm/d) of gas.

There could be further prospectivity south of Pharos in the Blackadder structure.

The Noble Lynda Bossler has since transferred to the Dutch North Sea for further operations for Dana.

ATP sale could unlock ‘frozen’ North Sea projects The first scheduled US hearing concerning the sale of ATP Oil and Gas UK will take place on Dec. 19.

ATP UK operates various UK offshore production and exploration assets, including the undeveloped Blythe and Skipper licenses. Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) has 50% of these licenses.

According to IOG the proposed buyer has been identified in the US court papers as Alpha Petroleum (UK) Holdings, with Deloitte LLP managing the sale.

Alpha is looking to retain the ATP UK management team to support

the company’s business plan for its assets.

IOG CEO Mark Routh said: “Once the sale of ATP UK has concluded IOG will be able to proceed with the development and appraisal programs for Blythe and Skipper.

We have met Alpha Petroleum and have high regard for both them and the ATP UK management team and subject to the relevant approvals being obtained for the sale of ATP UK, we look forward to working with them and progressing our joint assets as quickly as possible.”

Polarcus lines up 3D surveys

Xodus to support Mutual Energy in offshore Africa, New Zealand maximising integrity of energy connections between Scotland and Northern Ireland Independent, international energy consultancy Xodus Group has agreed a fouryear Consultancy Support Framework Agreement to provide marine services for Interconnector Services Limited (ISL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mutual Energy.

Xodus will manage the procurement of a survey contractor in order to perform survey investigations on the power cable and pipeline networks connecting Scotland and Northern Ireland. The aim is to assess and maximise the asset integrity of the two systems and refine inspection techniques and emergency response procedures as appropriate and dependent upon survey findings.

The Moyle Interconnector is a 250kV (500MW) two cable HVDC system linking the electricity grids of Northern Ireland and Scotland.

The submarine section of the cable system comprises of two corridors each of 55km in length, with an overall length of 63km.

The Scotland to Northern Ireland Pipeline (SNIP) is a 135km gas pipeline from Twynholm in Scotland to Ballylumford, Northern Ireland and its subsea section runs 40km and links with the Belfast Gas Transmission Pipeline (BGTP) which includes the gas pipeline crossings within Larne and Belfast Loughs.

Polarcus (OSE: PLCS) has letters of intent from four clients for 3D seismic acquisition projects offshore New Zealand, East Africa, and West Africa.

McDermott wins Middle East offshore field expansion contract

and Al Khobar, with construction and transportation handled by its Jebel Ali fabrication yard.

“This project is a continuation of work we have previously completed for the same client in the same field,” he added.

“Knowledge and experience gained over the years will give us a greater insight into the field characteristics and project execution requirements.”

McDermott vessels should mobilize for the installations toward mid-2014. Project completion, including hookup and commissioning, is scheduled for 1Q 2015.

Damen sets the pace with Walk-to-Work vessel Damen Shipyards has unveiled a completely new Wind Farm Service Vessel (WSV) to support and accommodate turbine maintenance crews at sea and allow them to ‘Walk-to-Work’. After industrywide consultation, the vessel has been designed from first principles to provide on-site work facilities and accommodation for 45 maintenance personnel plus

15 crew for voyages of up to one month.

“There is a growing trend for wind turbines to be located further from shore,” says Peter Robert, Damen Business Development Manager, Offshore Wind. “At distances greater than 30 nautical miles, maintenance crew transfer from shore within one day becomes both impractical and costly.” The dynamically

positioned (DP2) WSV will include a telescopic, motioncompensated gangway. This will allow each three-man maintenance team to walk quickly and safely between vessel and turbine. Damen has carved out a significant presence in the wind farm support vessel market, following the launch of its 26m length FCS 2610 Twin Axe, a high-speed maintenance support catamaran. Designed

for the transfer of 12 service personnel, 21of these purpose-built craft have been delivered and four more have been sold, all in 25 months.

Damen is building more for stock to shorten delivery times.

Market views “When we sought market views on a larger support vessel, potential customers set us an 80% availability target for maintenance crew transfer in wave heights of up to 3m,” says Mr Robert. “At the same time, the vessel needed exceptional levels of comfort because turbine engineers often have a land-based background and staff retention is an issue.”

Main characteristics The result is a monohull vessel with bridge and accommodation located amidships. With a 90m length overall and a beam of 20m, the Damen WSV will feature 500m2 and heave compensating crane. Its shallow 4.6m draft optimizes comfort, while also conferring significant power savings.

Designed to drop all seven maintenance crews within

three hours, the vessel will remain within range to provide support and emergency assistance through the working day before pick up.

With diesel electric main propulsion, Mr Robert says that the new Damen WSV will adhere to the company’s ‘E3’ commitment to deliver vessels that are ‘Environmentallyfriendly, Efficient in operation and Economically viable’.

“This vessel has been designed to meet our aims of serving the needs of the planet, the people working and living on it and those of the owner to make a healthy profit,” he says. Special attention has been paid to interiors and onboard service space lay-out. Public spaces have been mapped for efficient workflows and storage, while 60 single occupancy cabins, a fitness centre and internet/movie services will benefit life at sea.

“Judging by initial feedback, this vessel will make a significant impact on this specialized market,” says Mr Robert. “In addition, it is also attracting interest from the oil and gas sector.

Harkand signs charter agree-ment with Siem Offshore Harkand has entered into a charter agreement with Siem Offshore for the Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel (OSCV) ‘Siem Spearfish’. The agreement covers a firm period of five years with three yearly options and shall commence in May 2014.

The vessel will support the development of the Harkand group in the provision of inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services in the deep water Gulf of Mexico.

The DP2 vessel, built by Vard in Norway, has a 250t crane and will be fitted with two Triton XLX ROVs, as well as a complete survey spread. The Spearfish addition to the Harkand fleet marks an important step forward in the company’s commitment to deep water activities.

John Reed, Chief Executive Officer of Harkand, said: “This commitment we are making in the US Gulf both in terms of our people and our assets underlines

Enteq Upstream merges XXT and KMS Services to form Enteq Drilling Enteq Upstream, a provider of systems and components for measurement while drilling (MWD) and directional drilling, has formed the Enteq Drilling division to integrate the technology and services of Extended Exploration Technology (XXT) and KM Services (KMS). Enteq Upstream acquired both companies in 2012.

XXT provided MWD equipment for the directional and horizontal drilling markets such as downhole tools, surface gear, and surface software.

KMS manufactured and supplied MWD machined parts, spares, and components for mud motors within the upstream oil and gas sector.

California; and Calgary, Canada, the new Enteq Drilling division offers entire MWD systems, as well as other drilling products such as float valves, MWD parts, mud motor parts, sand screens, kit boxes, and racks.

Damen Shipyards Group opens first Service Hub in Australia Brisbane hub will provide warranty services, maintenance, training and spare parts Damen’s first Australian Service Hub was officially declared open by the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Captain Kasper Kuiper on November 8. Damen Services Brisbane Pty Ltd. will serve Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Headed up by Peter Ryan, the new hub will handle all warranty or maintenance issues and offer training courses, as well having a spare parts store onsite. Roland Briene, Damen Area Director Asia Pacific, says: “We are really pleased to have established a full Service Hub in Australia from which to serve our many clients in the region.

There are some 70 Damen vessels operating in the region currently, with more to come.”

Damen is working with the same highly skilled local engineers and contractors that it has been doing for more than a decade, ensuring continuity of service levels. Every customer will be able to access the Damen web portal where they can find information about their vessels, drawings and order any spare parts needed.

The company, which is headquartered in Dingwall and has bases in Wick, Aberdeen, Cumbernauld, Newcastle, Great Yarmouth, Houston, Kazakhstan and Australia, is anticipating a 40 per cent increase in turnover to approximately £140 million in the next 12 months, with an estimated rise in pre-tax profits to approximately £10 million over the same period.

Further out, the company isexpecting even greater growth in 2015. A key factor in MacLean Electrical’s growth plans has been the start of work, estimated at AUD$59m (GBP £34.5 million, USD $ 55 million) for the supply of medium and low voltage power, control and instrument cables, glands, electrical bulk materials and cable trays for two major contracts on the Wheatstone LNG (liquefied natural gas) project in Western Australia.

MacLean Electrical is also experiencing significant demand for its electrical products and cables from the resurgent North Sea oil and gas industry and from North America. To handle increased North Sea activity, the company has invested £1 million in a 6,000 sq ft extension to warehouse facilities at its premises in Altens, Aberdeen. A further £1 million has been invested in establishing and stocking a new facility in Great Yarmouth, which is expected to open next March.

The company, which has been the leading UK oil and gas

industry maintenance, repair and operations supplier of electrical products and cables for several years, has seen its global staffing levels increase from 199 to 215 in the past 12 months and expects a furtherrise in the months ahead.

Group managing director Donnie MacLean said: “Our business has been extremely buoyant for several years now, especially in the oil and gas sector, and we see no signs of that situation letting up in the near future. We arerecognised and trusted by the sector for the quality of our products, our competitive pricing and the high levels of service that we provide. The growth of our e-commerce offering is an example of that business success.”

MacLean Electrical posted a group operating profit of £5.17 million for the year ended March 31. This was less than the £6.1 million recorded in 2012 and was a result of an extremely successful 2012, a later than anticipated start on the Wheatstone work, plus investment in the Aberdeen, Great Yarmouth and Brisbane facilities.

Aside from its oil and gas activity, MacLean Electrical’s lighting division, based in Cumbernauld and Newcastle, is forecasting a 15% increase in business over the next 12 months, assisted by the energy saving expertise provided to local government, government agencies and consultancies from the company’s light and energy design division (LED).

Mr MacLean said: “The successes from winning several large contracts this year will be reflected in the results for the forthcoming years. Our core markets are continuing to show improvement and we are confident of future growth and successful results.

“While our major projects are overseen by our project teams in Dingwall and Aberdeen for theenergy sector, and Cumbernauld for the lighting sector, we shall continue to pursue growth opportunities both at home and worldwide, and continue to exploit the full potential of our e-commerce service with our trading partners.”

7th LNG Carrier booking for Damen Shiprepair Brest Damen Shiprepair Brest (France) received her seventh LNG booking for the drydocking, maintenance and repair of the LNG carrier ‘Bachir Chihani’. The Hyproc Shipping owned and managed vessel will arrive at November 25th.

Jos Goris, managing director of Damen Shiprepair Brest, says: “We are very pleased with this order, since it ensures the continuation of our LNG activities with our highly appreciated client, Hyproc Shipping.”

The work scope on the Bachir Chihani is extensive and reaches close to 30,000 man-hours. The vessel is expected to stay close to a month in drydock nr 3.

Replacement platform possible at Njord offshore Norway

Statoil and its partners are considering various options for long-term development of the Njord area in the Norwegian Sea. The semisubmersible Njord drilling and production platform remains shut due to concerns over the platform’s structural integrity.

However, work has started on a project to reinforce the deck structure: this is expected to be completed next spring, followed by a resumption of operations.

According to partner Faroe Petroleum, there are substantial

oil and gas resources both in the Njord field and surrounding catchment area. These could be accessed by further infill drilling in the Njord field, and development of the North West Flank gas and condensate accumulations, and the recent Snilehorn oil discovery.

Further tie-ins could result from exploration drilling in the coming years and nearby third-party discoveries in the catchment area.

Potentially, these factors could extend the life of the facilities by 20 years.

Options under review include: Continuing production through Njord A following deck reinforcement project and identifying alternative means of continuing development drilling on the Njord field Bringing the platform to shore at some point for further strengthening of the structure, or replacing the hull Building and installing a new Njord A platform or FPSO Faroe expects the evaluation work to continue throughout 2014.

Flow meters to combat hydrates in Caspian gas campaign Litre Meter has sent 65 VFF positive displacement flow meters with spares to Azerbaijan for use in chemical injection applications in the Caspian Sea. The VFF MF30 rotary piston flow meters will measure flow of methanol at high pressure – 430 bar (6,326 psi) – in gas field exploration programs.

“Antifreeze” fluids such as methanol are used as thermodynamic inhibitors to lower the freezing point of gas hydrate. They are injected at high pressure into pipelines where there is a risk of hydrates forming and then freezing at low temperature.

Under low temperatures and high pressure, gas hydrates can solidify as crystals which may block the

pipeline. This can necessitate a shutdown and the risk of explosion or unintended release of hydrocarbons into the environment.

The VFF positive displacement flow meters are designed to measure the correct amount of methanol needed to prevent hydrate formation.

The MF30 meters can be used for measuring liquids at pressure ratings up to 4,000 bar (58,015 psi) and flow rates from 0-90 l/hr, and a viscosity range between 0.8 and 2,000 centistokes.

These can operate over a temperature range of -40 to 150°C (-40 to 302°F), and are constructed in 316 stainless steel with Swagelok end fittings and Kalrez seals.

Jackup rig Prospector 1 arrives in Cromarty Firth New jackup drilling rig Prospector 1 has arrived in the Cromarty Firth, after a two-month journey from its construction shipyard in Dalian, China.

Owned by Prospector Offshore Drilling, the jackup features a fully automated drilling system and represents an investment of over $200 million. The rig’s platform measures 231 ft by 250 ft (70 m by 76 m) – the size of four Olympic swimming pools. Its full height is almost 775 ft (236 m). The rig is capable of operating in nominal water depths of up to 400 ft (122 m) and is equipped to drill wells to a depth of 35,000 ft (10,668 m) in

high-pressure and high-temperature environments.

It is the first of six rigs Prospector Offshore Drilling has ordered, with an estimated total project cost of approximately £750 million ($1.2 billion). Prospector 1 was built

by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Offshore Co. It was transported to the Cromarty Firth on Dockwise’s heavy lift vessel, the Talisman. It will be floated off the vessel over the next two to three days before being jacked-up in the Cromarty Firth. It will soon begin operations in the Central North Sea for Total E&P UK Ltd.

Gas shows for Petroceltic in first well offshore Romania Petroceltic will P&A its Cobalcescu South-1 exploration well in Black Sea block EX-28 offshore Romania.

The well was drilled by the jackup drilling rig GSP Prometeu to 3,298 m (10,820 ft) TD. It encountered good-quality sandstone reservoirs at the targeted Miocene stratigraphic levels with gas shows, but no commercial quantities of hydrocarbons.

Petroceltic is analyzing the well data in combination with 3D seismic acquired last year, with a view of updating the regional

geologic model for future activities on the block.

The rig now heads to the Muridava concession in block EX-27 to drill the Muridava-1 exploration well with a planned depth of around 3,150 m (10,334 ft). The well path is on trend with the Olimpiskaya and Eugenia discoveries. There are multiple targets in the Eocene, Palaeocene, and Cretaceous formations with combined prospective resources of 169 bcf (4.8 bcm). It is estimated to take two months to complete.

De wetenschap dat mensenlevens kunnen afhangen van de mate waarin hij en zijn medewerkers er voor zorgen dat de pakken écht waterdicht zijn en voor bescherming zorgen wanneer iemand onverhoopt in het (altijd koude) Noordzeewater terechtkomt, legt best een behoorlijke verantwoordelijkheid op het inname- en uitgiftepersoneel. “Wij zullen er altijd voor zorgen dat niemand in een ondeugdelijk survival suit aan boord van een helicopter stapt”, zegt hij beslist.

Op Den Helder Airport worden daartoe alle pakken steeds gecontroleerd op beschadiging of andere onjuistheden, voordat ze op rekken worden opgehangen voor de volgende verstrekking.

“Bovendien gaan alle pakken na zes keer dragen naar onze hoofdvestiging in Heemskerk waar ze extra dichtheidscontroles ondergaan, gereinigd en zonodig gerepareerd worden. Want wij willen niet dat de offshoremedewerkers in een pak stappen dat verontreinigd of beschadigd is tijdens het voorgaande gebruik”.

Vier verschillende uitvoeringen Biardo levert vier verschillende survival suits voor helicopterpassagiers en elk ‘type’ kent onderling weer verschillende uitvoeringen. “Nog los van de maatvoeringen, want

daarin hebben we natuurlijk ook de nodige soorten”, licht medewerkster Liesbeth Dreesens toe. De suits worden verstrekt in alle maten tussen extra small en extra/extra/extra large.

“Bovendien moeten we rekening houden met de eisen van onze opdrachtgevers en dat zijn de oliemaatschappijen”, gaat Roeloffs verder. Er ook op wijzend dat bijvoorbeeld bepaalde crewleden niet per helicopter de heenreis maken - denk maar aan onderhoudsmonteurs die met een werkschip naar bepaalde platforms varen en in principe ook weer met dat schip terugkeren maar tóch een survival suit voor een helicoptervlucht meekrijgen.

“Ze kunnen immers halverwege de trip te horen krijgen dat ze afgelost worden en dan alsnog per helicopter terug moeten. Dan kun je ze niet eerst even een survival suit toesturen, dus iedereen heeft bij vertrek al zo’n pak bij zich”.

Het Biardo-team moet daarnaast nog weer rekening houden met specifieke wensen van opdrachtgevers.

“Er zijn maatschappijen die een bepaald type survival suit willen laten verstrekken”, knikt de base manager. En er zijn maatschappijen die hun medewerkers een pak willen laten verstrekken op persoonlijke titel.

“Daar moet je dus in ons magazijn op de luchthaven rekening mee houden”, knikt Dreesens.

De dienstverlening gaat nog verder. “In de zomerperiode heeft niemand behoefte aan een thermisch binnenpak”, weet medewerkster Stefanie Janssen.

Maar wel in de winterperiode en dus zorgt de Biardo-crew op Den Helder Airport er voor dat rond de 3.000 survival suits op tijd worden voorzien van de warme binnenvoeringen.

Andere zaken waar het team rekening mee moet houden, zijn bijvoorbeeld de door Den Helder Support Service gearrangeerde ‘crew changes’ van schepen.

“We krijgen dan een berichtje dat we survival suits voor helicopterpassagiers moeten klaarleggen voor bootbemanningen”, vertelt Roeloffs.

Die mensen gaan immers ‘onderweg’ van boord en worden dan met een helicopter naar de luchthaven gebracht.

“Weliswaar gaat hun aflossing ook per helicopter naar het schip maar je kunt natuurlijk niet de opkomende bemanning eerst de survival suits aan boord laten uittrekken en dan de afgeloste crew er mee terug laten vliegen.

Iedereen moet dus een eigen pak beschikbaar hebben”.

Drie ploegendiensten Om de passagiers allemaal goed te kunnen bedienen, werken er op de luchthaven in totaal 7 personen bij Biardo. “We gaan ‘s ochtends om zes uur open en blijven open tot circa tien uur ‘s avonds”, zegt Roeloffs.

Omdat niemand zeven dagen per week elke dag 14 uren aaneengesloten kan werken, lost men elkaar tussentijds af. “We beginnen met twee personen en om negen of om tien uur ‘s ochtends - afhankelijk van de drukte - komt er iemand bij. In de loop van de middag - dat is

meestal om twee uur - worden zij afgelost door de twee die tot tien uur ‘s avonds blijven.

In het weekend kun je volstaan met 1 persoon in de uitgifte- en ontvangstruimte maar dat zijn er dan toch altijd nog twee per dag.

En iedereen is heel secuur met zijn werk bezig, want er kunnen mensenlevens van af hangen”.

Joop Roeloffs wijst er op dat je niet ‘zomaar’ in dit vakgebied actief kunt worden.

“Je hebt een leer- en inwerkperiode van formeel drie

maanden maar om echt alles tot in de finesses te weten heb je zeker 12 maanden nodig”, weet hij. Logisch, wat er worden zo’n 100 platforms op de Noordzee ‘bediend’ plus een wisselend aantal drilling rigs, de verschillende schepen en dat allemaal voor pakweg tien verschillende opdrachtgevende bedrijven en organisaties.

“We zijn dan ook EASA 145 en ISO 9001 gecertificeerd”, besluit hij met trots. En dat is echt wel nodig voor dit werk.

FoundOcean wins Energy Institute technology award for its new Super Pan Mixer Engineers at FoundOcean have received an award for their industry-leading Super Pan Mixer at this year’s Energy Institute Awards. The award recognises the year’s best new technological development.

Wat is uw naam, uw leeftijd, in welke plaats bent u geboren en waar woont u nu? Wat is uw functie en voor welk bedrijf werkt u?

Mijn naam is Michiel Merkus, ik ben 39 jaar en kom oorspronkelijk uit Tilburg. Via Utrecht en Amsterdam ben ik uiteindelijk beland in Heemstede. Ik ben Unit Manager bij Atlas Services Group Energy in Hoofddorp.

Waar bent u naar school gegaan en welke opleiding(en) hebt u gevolgd?

In Utrecht heb ik aan de Hogeschool van Utrecht de opleiding Commerciële Economie gevolgd. Naast deze studie heb ik diverse trainingen en cursussen gevolgd op het gebied van Management, Recruitment en natuurlijk industrie-gerelateerde cursussen.

Hoe bent u in het werkgebied Offshore (olie/gas/wind) terechtgekomen en sinds wanneer?

In 2005 ben ik gestart in de recruitment-branche. Hier hield ik me onder andere bezig met technische functies. In 2007 ben ik gaan werken voor Brunel Energy waar ik me ben gaan focussen op de olie & gas industrie. Vervolgens ben ik begin 2009 begonnen bij Atlas.

Hoe zien uw dagelijkse activiteiten er uit?

Als Unit Manager stuur ik de recruiters aan voor de afdeling Energy op ons hoofdkantoor.

Dit houdt in dat ik zorg voor een evenwichtige en juiste verdeling van de diverse (nationale en internationale) aanvragen voor technisch personeel van (toekomstige) klanten en zorg dat deze aanvragen zo snel en goed mogelijk door de verschillende recruiters worden ingevuld.

Daarnaast ben ik verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van een aantal

klanten en voor business development, met name op internationaal gebied.

Wat zou u nog graag willen doen in de toekomst?

Ik wil me altijd blijven ontwikkelen, zowel door trainingen en cursussen te volgen als door training onthe-job. Iedere dag brengt weer nieuwe vraagstukken met zich mee die ruimte bieden voor kansen voor Atlas. Dit maakt de functie veelzijdig en leerzaam. Zorgen dat je als team successen behaalt, is een van mijn doelstellingen. Voor de toekomst zou ik dit graag ook voor andere internationale kantoren realiseren.

Is er iemand met wie u van plaats(functie) zou willen ruilen?

Op dit moment niet. Ik vind nog voldoende uitdagingen in mijn huidige rol.

Heeft u een specifieke vrije tijdsbesteding of hobby?

Mijn vrije tijd probeer ik veel met familie en vrienden door te brengen. Daarnaast ben ik een liefhebber van voetbal en van

Houdt u het nieuws een beetje bij?

Zo ja, is er iets gebeurd afgelopen maand dat in het nieuws kwam en u heeft geraakt?

Ik probeer iedere dag het nieuws bij te houden, zowel werkgerelateerd als algemeen. Helaas lees je veel ellende in het nieuws; oorlog, armoede, verkrachtingen of misbruik van kinderen. Het is jammer genoeg de werkelijkheid.

De verdeeldheid in bijvoorbeeld Egypte of de chemische wapens in Syrie en de daarbij komende ellende die al maanden voorduurt en vele onschuldige levens heeft gekost, doen je beseffen hoe blij we kunnen zijn te leven in een stabiele leefomgeving.

Wij zijn best brutaal: Wat is uw motto in het leven?

Het glas is halfvol; positivisme brengt je vaak veel verder en voor ieder probleem dat je tegenkomt is er wel een passende oplossing te vinden.

Ten slotte: Wie vindt u dat we voor de volgende editie moeten uitnodigen om deze vragen te beantwoorden?

We hebben binnen Atlas net een rebrandingstraject doorlopen. Het lijkt mij daarom leuk om over een tijdje onze marketing manager Rogier Kind aan het woord te laten!
