The Magic of Solstice

"One way of celebrating the Solstice is to consider it a sacred time of reflection, release, restoration, andrenewal."

The solstice is an astronomical event that occurs twice a year when the Sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky at noon, marking the longest and shortest days of the year. The term "solstice" is derived from the Latin word sol, meaning "sun," and sistere, meaning "to stand still," referring to the apparentpauseintheSun'smovement.

The magic of the solstice has been celebrated and revered by various cultures throughout history. It holds symbolic and spiritual significance in many belief systems. Here are afewexamples:

Ancient Egyptians: In ancient Egypt, the summer solstice was associated with the rising of the star Sirius, known as the "dog star."Thiseventmarkedthebeginningofthe Nile flood, which was crucial for agriculture and the prosperity of civilization. The solstice was linked to the god Osiris and was celebratedwithfestivalsandrituals.

Mayans: The ancient Mayans deeply understood astronomy and built remarkable structures aligned with astronomical events. Duringthesummersolstice, theMayansheld ceremonies at sites such as Chichen Itza in present-day Mexico. The play of light and shadow on the pyramid during the solstice created an illusion of a serpent descending the steps, symbolizing the connection betweentheheavensandEarth.

Druids: The solstice was of great importance in Celtic and Druidic traditions. Druids, the priestly classinancientCelticsocieties, celebratedthesolstice as a transition between the seasons. They conducted ceremonies at sacred sites like Stonehenge to honor theSunandthefertilityoftheland.

Ancient Greeks and Romans: TheancientGreeks and Romans celebrated the summer solstice with festivals dedicated to their respective deities. The Greeks celebrated Kronia, honoring the god Kronos, andtheRomanscelebratedVestalia, dedicatedtothe goddess Vesta. These festivals involved feasts, processions, andcommunalcelebrations.

Native American Tribes: VariousNativeAmerican tribes in North America had solstice traditions. For example, the Lakota Sioux held Sun Dances during the summer solstice, where participants performed ceremonial dances and rituals to honor the Sun and seekspiritualguidance.

These examples highlight the diverse ways in which ancient cultures incorporated the solstice into their beliefs, rituals, and festivities. The solstice represented to us a time of transition, renewal, and the interconnectedness of the cosmos and human experience. It was an opportunity for people to connectwithnature, thedivine, andlifecycles.

HappySolstice!

“It is the Summer Solstice. The earth rejoices in abundance and light, and so do we.”

Maia Toll

MaiaToll is the award-winning author of Letting Magic In, The Night School, and the Wild Wisdom Series (including The Illustrated Herbiary). After pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and a master’s at New York University, Maia apprenticed with a traditional healer in Ireland. She spent extensive time studying the growing cycles of plants, the alchemy of medicine making, and the psycho-spiritual aspects of healing. Maia maps new pathways for seeing our lives, inspiring those who encounter her work to live with more purpose, intention, meaning, and, maybe, even more magic. She is the coowner of the retail store Herbiary, with locations in Philadelphia, PA, and Asheville, NC, where she lives with her partner and three ridiculously spoiled dogs. OMTIMES: One of the things you talk aboutinthebookisbodyknowledgeor somatic knowing. How do our bodies communicate important messages to us?

MaiaToll:InourmodernAmericanculture, we've gotten the idea that knowledge happens only in our heads. Maybe we can blame Descartes: I think, therefore I am. But the way in which our bodies can read the world around us is truly wondrous. The trick is to convert this subtle wisdom into usableinformation.

I wish there were a handbook for interpreting the body's messages, but learning how to read the body is very individualized because we all interpret sensationsdifferently.

Irecommendthatpeoplebeginwithsimple noticing. That'sthetrailheadforthistypeof work. Check in with yourself three times a day, noting mental, emotional, and bodily sensations. Also, note what's going on in your life and the world around you. Over a few weeks, you'll begin to notice your own patterns, like you might get a headache when a storm is coming in, or your fingers might twitch before you get in a fight with your partner. You'll start to catalog what sensations match up with various thought patterns. Like if you get a belly ache when you think about an event from your past. Students would come back with all sorts of information, some of which was gleaned fromcloseobservationofthedetailsofthe plant and its surroundings. Some people wouldfeelliketheplantspoketothem, and others would have a vision or daydream that helped them understand the plant better.

But without fail, some folks came back baffled. They would tell me that they didn't learnanything.Ialwaysfocusedfirstonthe peoplewhocamebackwithnothing.

"So, what were you doing out there for the last20minutes?"Iwouldask.

"Nothing."Theywouldsay."Justthinking." "Whatwereyouthinkingabout?"I'dask. And this is where it would get good. They werealwaysthinkingaboutsomethingthat relatedtotheplant…theyjustdidn'tknowit.

My favorite "nothing happened" story involves a guy in his early thirties who worked at a pharmaceutical company. When he came in from the garden, he told me he'd spent the 20 minutes he was sitting with the plant just thinking. So, I asked my usual question: what were you thinking about? He told a story about racing bikes with his brother on a long, steep hill. He'd flipped his bike, torn up his knees, and had bits of gravel stuck in his skin.

Hewasshockedtolearnthattheplanthe'd been sitting with was applied topically to draw things out of the skin and was also usedforcutsandscrapes.

We are all constantly taking in information from the world around us, information that our brain interprets in ways that we are comfortablewithandcanunderstand.Part of strengthening your intuition is figuring out how you personally access this energetic information. Innovative new approaches to Healing as well as holistic methods for dealing with health issues and personal growth

A Proving Of Citrine Quartz

WHAT’S A PROVING?

In homeopathy, proving is testing a new remedy or medicine.

Just like new pharmaceutical drugs, new homeopathic remedies are also tested before being put on the market.

That’s where the similarities between Western traditional medicine and homeopathy end.

All homeopathic remedies are tested on healthy human volunteers, usually students, but never on animals. Homeopathy is the safest form of medicine, but it is also because animals cannot communicate how they feel when taking medication.

The physical effects of a drug may be easy to observe from the outside. However, a holistic modality like homeopathy is also concerned with the mental and emotional sphere of every being.

Another difference is that pharmaceutical drugs are typically made to fight a particular symptom or condition. Therefore the goal of the test is to ascertain the efficacy and safety of that drug in treating that specific symptom or disease. On the other hand, homeopathic remedies are tested without any particular goal in mind. In other words, we know that the remedy is going to be safe. Therefore safety is a given. After that, we simply collect the physical, emotional, and mental reactions of the volunteers providing the remedy.

Those reactions will determine how that remedy will be utilized in the future. For example: if enough provers feel a physical burning sensation in the stomach when taking a particular remedy, that remedy will be prescribed for heartburn.

This is based on the homeopathic principle of “like cures like”: something that gives you a symptom when healthy will also treat that same symptom if you suffer from it.

HOMEOPATHIC CITRINE QUARTZ

This remedy was created a few years ago by homeopath Peter Tumminello and is widely available from homeopathic pharmacies. However, there needs to be published literature with a description of what this remedy can be prescribed for. As a result, gemstone remedies are still greatly underused in homeopathy. This is why I decided to organize a group proving and find out what citrine quartz can do.

THE PROVING OF CITRINE QUARTZOCTOBER 2022

The group had four participants. Each prover had a natural citrine quartz and was instructed to make an elixir in the following way:

·Immerse the stone in distilled water in a glass container with a lid

·Expose the container to the sun and moonlight for 24 hours

·Make the elixir with 50-a 50 ratios of water and alcohol

At this point, the elixir is not potentized. Therefore, the provers were instructed to take as many doses of the elixir as they were guided.

Individual meditation with the gemstone was also encouraged.

The proving process lasted 5-7 days.

Results-mental/emotional

·Joyful energy: all provers experienced a feeling of more joy and productive energy.

·Family matters: all provers felt a sudden surge in love and connection with their spouse or family members. In one case, the remedy seemed to positively affect the mood of other family members, even though they did not take the remedy.

·Working for home and family: work projects and family seemed to converge, a sense that the provers were building something important for the family.

·Money matters: three out of four provers felt very different about money and what they could afford: a sense that “I am worth it, I deserve a treat.” The remedy brought up past feelings of lack of money and desire for abundance. For example, one prover dreamed about treating friends to coffee and cake in a café and then discovered that one coffee cost $300, and so did a piece of cake.

Homeopathy is one of the few medical specialties which carries no penalties -- only benefits.

·Self-indulgence: another prover loves a particular type of expensive cake and felt a sudden urge to buy it for herself as a treat.

·Feeling productive and successful: all provers commented on how they could accomplish more than usual in their daily activities, “getting shit done,” as one prover put it.

·More focus: one prover experienced her usual symptoms of ADHD very much diminished, and she was able to complete tasks effortlessly.

Clarity of mind.

·De-cluttering: provers were moved to want to de-clutter their space suddenly.

·Personal power: one prover felt real strongly about tapping into her power, energetically and sexually. Very much similar to Leo Energy. It is possible that Citrine is linked to the heart chakra, and another prover had visions of emeralds, with the green linked to the heart chakra.

·Possible relationship with Emerald in terms of opening of the heart chakra.

·Expressing the truth and feeling good about it. Speaking up for oneself without conflict or guilt, or fear.

Physical symptoms

·Opening of sinusitis

·One prover had stomach issues that felt much better after taking Citrine.

·One prover was guided to potentize the remedy to 1M and then 10M using a radionics machine; the higher potencies created a sensation of being “out of the body.”

·One prover experienced sudden heat in the chest, and profuse perspiration, which was temporary.

·One prover had had chronic shoulder pain, and that disappeared.

Conclusions for Citrine Quartz

All the provers enjoyed the feeling that Citrine Quartz elicited. Overall, positivity, self-power, and the feeling of self-doubt disappear. Instead, reveal and revel in our power; we can get what we want and deserve it too.

One prover potentized the remedy to 1M and felt she could be on that potency and take it for a long time; the 10M felt too much: fatigue, so she reversed to 1M.

During the meditation, we all saw visions of green, a relationship with the heart chakra. The polarity of scarcity/abundance and generational poverty mentality can make you feel guilty when you have more money.

One prover called Citrine “natural Adderal” because her ADHD symptoms went down so much, and her focus increased.

Giovanna Franklin sets up regular proving sessions of new gemstone remedies. If you wish to participate or enquire, send your email to: info@homeopathyheal.co.uk

The Sacred Gifts of Psychic Abilities

In this era of great change and rapid spiritual ascension, the sacred gifts of evolution are coming through us stronger than ever. With heightened energy fields of communication and miraculous intuitive frequencies, we

can absorb and transmit messages of hope and healing like never before. This is an incredible time to be a channel!

Along with this knowledge, we live in a time of great materialism,

OM TIMES | June 2023

comparison, and competition. The challenges of practicing as an intuitive healer can be overwhelming when these things are allowed to become any more than a minute part of their environment. However, when we remind ourselves why we have access to the light bringing assistance from the other side, we can shield ourselves from the negativity of lower vibrational thoughts.

Psychic abilities, spiritual phenomena, and paranormal

experiences can happen to anyone at any given time. When the atmosphere is ripe with energy, the need is urgent, and strange unexplained events can truly save our lives. Our minds are incredibly receptive and able to communicate with each other without physically speaking.

Through messages, visions, and lots of assistance from our guides and loved ones, we are able to transmute energy into action. This is our true nature, which we are

OM TIMES | June 2023

now remembering, applying to the Earth here and now.

Psychic abilities can’t be measured or kept in a jar. It is a part of our consciousness as we live and breathe. As the energy on the Earth can be bright in certain places and dimmer in others, the ability is stronger to some more than others. Certain people are able to pick up things about each other and send each other messages. Bi-location is also possible when our consciousness is helping another in need. We travel in our astral dreams. We communicate,

heal each other, and ask the heavens for assistance even when we are not aware of it.

We must learn to evolve our thought process on what it means to be psychic, intuitive, and a medium between the energies of the universe. This is a new era and time of scientific discovery. Untapped dimensions absolutely exist! From which we came, man has evolved. Humanity was born to discover fabulous and remarkable facts about how we really can ascend into light beings. So much more to know!

We need open minds and hearts to forge new frontiers in metaphysics and miraculous happenings. Less skepticism, negativity, ignorance, and judgment would give legs to a great thing. It takes time, but many of us believe the path is already there.

Remember, someone who practices as an intuitive may be able to pick a hundred things correct about a specific person and maybe two about another. Why? Vibration. Negativity. Anxiety. Blocked chakras. Fear and disbelief. Another reason is that the person asking to be read is untruthful

and may even have malicious intent. An intuitive can read this and knows the information energy field is somehow not being felt or shown about this person. There is a reason. Our thoughts, intents, and frequencies matter!

So if you find an intuitive life coach who is both gifted with receiving correct information about you and cares about your well-being, this is a true gift from the spirit to you. Unfortunately, so many out there are misunderstood because of a few who may operate without integrity or true

OM TIMES | June 2023

dedication. Yet, many more practice in this field with such love and true intention. They love what they do in service to others.

We are all in this together! Dreamers, doers, artists, creatives, and lovers of life all have great psychic connections that spark change and evolution. They receive inspiration and guidance through the cosmic forces that love us unconditionally and want us to thrive on this planet. Our roles here are unique and complex. For those who thrive in its presence, let’s celebrate these fantastic spiritual connections

of consciousness by respecting those in service of delivering comfort and validation. Acceptance will only bring forth more positive energy and a higher thought process for those who have yet to understand their true magnificence as a soul who can shine.

The sensitive souls and empathic hearts will help this world to reach another level of humanity. The wheels were turning long ago, and the process is rapidly approaching an even higher understanding of our existence. What a miraculous time to be alive! We will all grow

OM TIMES | June 2023

into our abilities as we continue to evolve as humans. The proof is all out there. Many pieces of life’s ultimate questions have already been revealed. No matter if you are a believer, non-believer, self-professed lightworker, or a big skeptic, it doesn’t change what has already been discovered now and in the near future what will be. The sacred gifts of psychic ability and metaphysical miracles will touch those who seek to find, share and create a New Earth with compassion and unconditional love. Our chi will continue to be revealed.

RITUAL FOR SUMMER SOLSTICES To Bring You Peace & Joy

If you've seen the opening scenes of Outlander, you'llunderstandthethrillIfelt at being asked to do a summer solstice ritualontheHillofTara.Taraisanancient ceremonial site in County Meath, Ireland. Whilenotaswell-knownasStonehengeor Loughcrew, the windswept hillside has its ownmagic.

During the year I studied with an herbalist in Ireland, Tara was one of my favorite getaway spots. If I timed my visit well, the sitewouldbeempty.

I could ghost through the tumbled stones of the old hall or sit quietly in the grass and listen to the crows. Eventually, the chill would drive me into the gift shop for tea and a scone: the perfect end to an oddly empty and strangely full day.

But the parking lot was full when my teacher and I arrived on the evening of thesummersolstice.

OMTIMES|JUNE B

We pulled up against the hedgerow, and I shimmied out, trying not to get hung up on the hawthorns. A bit of dread curled through my gut as I surveyed the people pulling blankets and provisions from their cars with the boisterous vibe of folksattendingaJuly4thbarbeque.

As a person who has never connected with organized religion, I find I still yearn for ways to celebrate the sacred. The solstices have become moments when I could mark time in a way that felt ancient and, in doing so, connect with the timeless part of my own being. That part of me had always been silent, connected more to the elementsthantootherpeople.

From my spot in the West, I looked out and realizedthiswasnosmallgathering:thousandsof candle-litfaceswerelookingbackatme.

The master of ceremonies began walking the circumference of the circle. When he reached the eastern side, he turned to the crowd: I'm calling on the tribes of the East, the people of the Boyne, and the Irish Sea. Will you come to the council? WilltherebeawarintheEastthisyear?

The crowd to the East shouted back a resounding NO!

A little background for this: Ireland was a country of tribes. In older times, they gathered together a few times a year to tradeandworkouttreaties.Arituallikethis wasachancetobringeveryonetogether.

I stood, stunned, as each quarter was called.Theconceptof"callingthequarters," which is often used in pagan rituals, was one I didn't understand. But this calling brought the practice into fresh focus as boththepeopleandthelandonwhichthey lived were invoked. In a flash, I realized: calling the quarters was about calling in community. It reminded you where you were in time and space and who was there withyou.Itwasapracticethatcalledyouto presence, notjustwithpeople, butwiththe land. It asked you to come back into the relationship.

This message has resonated through my summer solstices ever since. I use this moment when the sun is at its furthest reach when the energy of growing things is stretched and attenuated to do three things:rest, reflect, andregather.

Rest

In Latin, the word solstice comes from twowords:solmeans"sun, and"sistere means "to stand still." During the Solstice, the sun appears to stand still on the horizon. I take this as an invitation to also stand still, to rest, to pause.

Rituals of rest are often underrated: a nap, a bath, a walk in the woods. It doesn't have to be fancy. But, at this time of year, when we have done the work of Spring–whether that's getting ourselvesorthekidsthroughtheschool year, planting the garden, doing the big garage clean-out that marks spring cleaning–it's important for our wellbeingtopause.

Youdon'thavetogoonasilentretreatfor a week (sometimes getting yourself to something like that is in itself work). Instead, think of small ways to break your usual patterns and add a moment of rest: a silent meal, a morning meditation, or an afternoonlieinthesun.

Reflect

Instead of calling the quarters, I like to journalthequartersasawayofgrounding myself and reestablishing my presence in my current landscape. Simply take a journal spread or a piece of paper, and divide it into four sections. Label these with the four cardinal directions–East, South,West, andnorth.

Now set a timer and spend ten minutes noticing and journaling for each quarter. The timer is important because it keeps you from rushing through the exercise, giving you time to go deeper in your noticing.

OMTIMES|JUNE B

I often do one quarter a day. So if I begin in the East, I'll focus first on what's right close by to the East of me–sitting at my writing desk that would be a fuzzy stemmed philodendron and a bookshelf that holds my TBR stacks, and a few small orchids and crystals.

I let my eyes wander over the plants, reacquainting myself with their presence, before reaching beyond the house and envisioning the garden to the East–the oak leaf hydrangea and the witch hazel– and the woods beyond them. My mind travels all the way up to the ridge where we walk the dogs.

When the timer goes off, I sometimes keep writing, deep in the meditative reacquainting I'm doing with the landscape. When I feel done, I close my journal. The next day I returned to "call" the next quarter.

Regather

My third ritual brings me back to the sense of community I felt that solstice night on the Hill of Tara: I gather my people.

It was surprisingly uplifting to look out at a sea of thousands of faces that solstice night and hear them affirm with their voices we're here. We're here in the East and intend to be a peaceful part of this gathering.

We are here in the West and part of this community.

In my daily life, I'm inward in both work and spiritual practices. In the same way that I thrill at the a-ha!

The moment when a chapter I'm writing comes together, I love the solitary click of connection I feel when I lay my hand against a tree's trunk or the Sympatico moment when I unexpectedly catch the eye of a mamma bear walking her cubs through my backyard. No liturgy can replicate these feelings for me. I don't crave the trappings of ceremony.

For those living a more Conscious Lifestyle

Why Should You Practice Tantra?

Tantra is an ancient spiritual practice that originated in the Indian subcontinent. It is a multifaceted tradition that encompasses various practices, rituals, and philosophies. Tantra holds a unique place in spiritual development and can be important for several reasons.

The Practice of Tantra recognizes the interconnectedness of all aspects of human existence, including the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual realms. It emphasizes the integration of these dimensions, allowing individuals to explore and develop their entire being. By acknowledging and embracing the

OM TIMES | June 2023

totality of human experience, Tantra provides a holistic approach to spiritual development.

Tantra embraces the totality of human experience, including the socalled "shadow" aspects of oneself— those parts that are often repressed or denied. Rather than seeking to transcend or reject these aspects, Tantra encourages individuals to embrace and integrate them. By acknowledging and working with the shadow elements, Tantra supports psychological healing,

personal growth, and spiritual integration.

TANTRA BRINGS YOU PLAYFULNESS AND PLEASURE.

One aspect of Tantra that has gained attention is its exploration of sacred sexuality. Tantra views sexuality as a powerful force that, when approached consciously and with reverence, can be a pathway to spiritual transformation. By integrating sexual energy

OM TIMES | June 2023

and expanding the experience of intimacy, Tantra seeks to deepen connections, dissolve boundaries, and tap into the ecstatic states of being.

Spirituality is taken very seriously; often, seekers become rigid and serious instead of flexible and light-hearted. To embrace life, as Jesus said, we need to become like children again. This is the virgin spirit of the goddess Kumari-- the sweet innocence and pure joy expressed through life's exuberance. But unfortunately, we often suppress

our childlike qualities of wonder and enthusiasm and replace those feelings with complacency, boredom, suspicion, seriousness, skepticism, and other emotions that stop the flow of joy.

Tantra recognizes the presence of subtle energy within and around the human body. Through specific practices like Kundalini yoga and pranayama (breath control), Tantra aims to awaken and channel this energy for spiritual growth. By understanding and harnessing these energetic forces, individuals can

OM TIMES | June 2023

enhance their vitality, raise their consciousness, and experience higher states of awareness.

Evoking feelings of happiness is something that we all have to work at. It's not always automatic. We have to make a conscious effort to create, develop and maintain emotions that sustain our feelings of well-being at all times. And we must learn how to live in a perpetual state of loving awareness. Sometimes, this is a huge challenge, but no one else can do this for us. Since we create

our own reality every moment of every day, we really have no choice.

Part of tantric work requires playfulness as we explore our sensuality through music, dance, movement, singing, art, and sexuality. In fact, play and pleasure, as well as every other aspect of life, such as work, eating, and lovemaking, are regarded as opportunities for spiritual development.

The mind is a world of complex images and concepts, but the body's world is one of sensation. So we can

OM TIMES | June 2023

only experience pleasure through the senses. Our bodies want to feel pleasurable sensations constantly -touching, breathing deeply, dancing, looking with curiosity, walking rhythmically, and making love.

TANTRA INCREASES INTUITION AND PSYCHIC ABILITIES

Intuition has also been called insight, revelation, inspiration, direct apprehension, gut instinct, a flash, a hunch, a premonition, "Eureka" or "Aha," a sixth sense, an inner voice,

"vibes," a feeling, "reading between the lines," "red flags," a "nagging" feeling, sensitivity, "ringing true," "an educated guess," "reading him (or her) like a book," "inner radar," "a light coming on," preconscious concept formation, and ESP (or "being psychic," although intuition is not truly a psychic phenomenon).

Intuition is a natural function that we all possess. It cannot be developed; it is already fully functioning and accurate, such that this part of us always knows everything that affects our lives or will affect our lives.

OM TIMES | June 2023

But a reliable sense of "knowing" is developed only when our minds are free from thought, for only through this inner silence can a message from our higher self-reach us.

Tantra work helps us maintain inner silence and stillness even when we are busy. I call it "active body, still mind."

Clairvoyance… clairaudience… clairsentience…the abilities to see, hear and feel through paranormal senses could become prominent, as well as the ability to heal, see, feel, and manipulate energy.

Manifestation of thoughts may occur, and with that comes the realization that one has to be very cognizant of his or her thoughts, feelings, and actions. With power comes grave responsibility.

I might add that this phenomenon is not sought. It is earned. It is a gift.

It's important to note that Tantra is a complex and nuanced tradition, and its practice requires proper guidance, respect, and ethical considerations. Misinterpretations or misapplications of Tantra can lead

to misunderstandings or misuse of its teachings. Therefore, seeking authentic sources of knowledge, qualified teachers, and approaching Tantra with sincerity and discernment is essential for reaping its potential benefits in spiritual development.

Living A Synergistic Life

Synergy is when two parts cooperate or work cohesively together to produce a result greater than the individual efforts combined.

To be the change you wish to see in the world and yourself, there must be a synergy between your thoughts, belief systems, actions, and being. There has to be a synergy between

OM TIMES | June 2023

your doing and non-doing, between the conditioned self and the soul, that exemplifies peace, acceptance, compassion, and love.

Each of you has been conditioned. You have been taught how to think, how to judge what is right and wrong, and how to look at life. You have been taught about limitations and the illusion of needs. You have been taught about superiority and inferiority, what

is a success, and the belief in failure.

I am sorry you have been taught this, and I am sorry that you have to move beyond this to truly live as a spiritual being having a spiritual experience while muddling through the Maya of life. Again, I am sorry, but let's not focus on "how the mule got in the ditch;" let's begin to get him out!

Your soul knows Oneness. Your soul knows compassion with

OM TIMES | June 2023

strength. Your soul knows nonenabling empathy. Your soul knows acceptance, and love, for it is those things; it lives in those truths. Now we have to move beyond our conditioned thought patterns, our conditioned belief systems, and basically everything about the conditioned thinking mind to be able to live in and express our true nature.

Yes, it is a journey, a process. A process that not only each individual will experience but also

humanity in general. I believe every human being has the capacity to eventually wake up. And in the meantime, here are some thoughts and insights to help you live a synergistic life.

1. First, understand every human being is a conditioned being and that conditioned being is in control until Self Awareness occurs. This means the conditioned, thinking mind is in charge, and sadly, the prepared, thinking mind is

OM TIMES | June 2023

the mind that has been taught how to judge and what to judge. Judgment of any kind is not part of the 'Absolute You,' and it goes against your true nature. Before Self Awareness, many believe they are their thoughts; they believe they are their bodies. Before Awareness, they believe the human "them" is the real "them." Before Awareness, they may even believe there is a soul, an aspect, or an invisible part of them that really does not get to express itself

until death. Before Self Awareness, there is division, and it is this division (and the beliefs that come with it) that happen to be the culprits for every problem we face today. Think about this: division or separation creates a 'me versus them' mentality. There is no 'me,' and there is no 'them.'

2. Begin to see the ramblings of the conditioned thinking mind for what they are. They are taught patterns created because of their

OM TIMES | June 2023

conditionings, and now, many of those ramblings are nothing more than old habits. Habits that are not helpful and, in many situations, harmful to your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Habits can be broken or changed through Self Awareness or a choice to be different.

3. Use th e mind purposefully, intentionally, and consciously, and leave the other ramblings of the mind alone. Choose to live each

moment with purpose. Choose to live each moment with intention. Choose to be more than what you have been taught. Choose to not participate with the mind as the mind habitually begins to judge (yourself and others). Instead, choose to leave the past behind (yours and others) and start to live in the only moment that counts: this moment of NOW!

4. Rem ove yourself from situations, places, and groups that keep the

OM TIMES | June 2023

judgment alive, and keep you in a place of separation, segregation, and judgment. This may include family, friends, and/or even your political affiliation or religion. If anyone, even your religion, is keeping you tied to the illusions of life, such as need, conditionality, failure, superiority, etc., remove yourself from them. However, as you are leaving, do not leave judging them or think of yourself as being better for leaving. Just simply "Namaste" them and leave.

5. Meditate daily, and begin to live meditatively. A meditation practice that shows you how to observe the mind rather than participate with the mind will support you in ways you could not or would not imagine. This also coincides with #2. Learning to observe the mind during meditation will be easier as you move through life. Living meditatively simply means being present and honoring each moment as it arises. Living meditatively also means seeing

OM TIMES | June 2023

each moment as sacred and treating each moment as sacred, one that cannot be recreated and shouldn't be missed.

6. Be h ere now, and treat each living thing as a sacred being, even if you believe they are not acting as such. Each living thing is ultimately an expression of God. They, too, are conditioned beings and may not know their Godliness yet. They still may be in the throes of their

conditionings or moving beyond those conditions. They are in the process of awakening as well. They could also be awakened ones, not 'acting awake' just to help you awaken.

7. Train your mind to be based on Oneness. Train your mind to be compassionate, understanding, accepting, kind, forgiving, and loving. Train your mind to live in abundance through

OM TIMES | June 2023

Thanksgiving. Train your mind to look for Godliness in everyone and everything. Training your mind sometimes means not participating with old thought patterns any longer. Sometimes it means looking graciously at the life you have now and being thankful for the moment; sometimes, it means choosing to be different than you have been in the past. There are many ways to train the mind, but realize this:

if the human mind functions the way it does because it has been taught to, it can also be retrained to be a different way.

To be the change you want to see takes effort and conscious actions being the change you wish to see. So are you part of life's synergy, or are you just talking about it? Is there synergy inside of you?

Do You Worry Too Much?

Iremember seeing a cartoon in The New Yorker where a mother reads a book on the alphabet to her young child. She begins with:

"' A' is for 'Anxiety,' 'B' is for 'Boredom,' 'C' is for 'Coping mechanisms'…!"

Let's face it, we live in an anxious world where worry is at the top of everyone's daily to-do list. Sadly, even today's teenagers and young children are experiencing anguish. Worry comes in every shape, form,

OM TIMES | June 2023

and size. We worry about our family, relationships, jobs, finances, and health. We worry about rising prices, taking exams, and what other people think of us. Some of us even worry about worrying too much!

Worry can be a crippling disease that eats away at your soul, depletes your energy, and restricts your spiritual growth. If you let it, worry can hold you in its tight grip and never let you move forward in a positive direction. It can literally close down your

creative abilities and prevent you from achieving your full potential.

I believe that the root of all worries stems from two areas of our life that we focus our attention on most— the past and the future. We worry about mistakes we made when we were younger. We hold grudges (sometimes for years!) against people who have hurt us. We worry about what the future will bring. We worry about things that haven’t even happened yet!

OM TIMES | June 2023

You may even think that worrying will somehow protect or prepare you for the unexpected. But it doesn't work that way. Instead, when you worry, it interrupts your natural rhythm, affecting all areas of your life.

Sure, there's going to be times when it's legitimate to be concerned. It's impossible not to worry if there's a world tragedy, a personal crisis in your own life, or a close relative suddenly becomes seriously ill. I'm talking about when

worry becomes second nature and gets in the way of living.

When you can break free from this mindset of worry, let go of your past, let the future play out, and live fully and in the present moment, you'll embark on a path of endless opportunities that serve you.

JOHN'S MESSAGE

What's worrying you most? Is it something from your past that you need to let go of? Is it something in

OM TIMES | June 2023

the future that you have no control over? Do some journaling this week to pinpoint all the worries that are taking over your life. Keep track of your worries and what triggers them.

Becoming aware is the first step in worry reduction. As you become more conscious of the habit of worrying, you can begin to develop the ability to switch it over before it takes over.

Shake things up! Change your routine. Challenge your mind with

something else, like a crossword puzzle or a new project. Go for a walk. Only when you stand up to these worries with your positive actions will they loosen their grip on your soul.

Relationships

The interconnectedness among all human beings and, consequently, the relationships among us are the focus of this section. The dynamics of the web of connections we make is one of the most prominent aspects of human existence: how we interlace with each other’s existence in a meaningful way.

Learning the Language of the Heart

Iwas recently asked to explain the language of the heart. The question was: "Do we have something like that: a language of the heart?"

Yes, we do.

It is exceedingly difficult to present enlarged concepts and advanced

truth in an attempt to expand the consciousness of the heart and enhance spiritual perception when we are restricted to the use of the circumscribed language of our planet. Sometimes we must try to convey our meanings of the heart messages using the word symbols of the Earth's languages.

OM TIMES | June 2023

LEARN ABOUT THE LANGUAGE OF THE HEART

A long time ago, before the fall from unity consciousness into polarities, we used one language: the language of the heart. What is the language of the heart? As Drunvalo explained to us, conveying Melchizedek Consciousness to humanity, once you are able to move your spirit inside the heart (there is a specific meditation taught in the "Awakening the Illuminated Heart" workshop), then you are able to "speak" with any human (or non-human) using a specific language that is used all

over the universe: the language of the heart. But, of course, there is a condition here: that person has to be also in the heart when you are in your heart. Although, even if that person is not in the heart, through the language of the heart, you can "speak" and connect with that person's higher self. We really believe that this is going to be the communication of the future.

But the most important step, beyond the communication with other beings, is that when we are using the language of the heart we connect with the ultimate omnipotent,

OM TIMES | June 2023

omniscient, and omnipresent three first levels of Supremacy: God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit. Later, moving through the ascension process to the fourth dimension, we connect with God the Supreme: the actualizing or evolving God of time and space. At this stage of spiritual evolution, any being in any universe personally experiences the achievement of God unity as the evolving and experiential God of the evolutionary creatures of time and space.

We, evolving beings, experience an irresistible urge to symbolize our finite concepts of the unknown. Human consciousness represents a value level - an experiential reality - which is difficult to symbolize. Cosmic consciousness implies the recognition of God functioning on three supremepersonality levels of sub-infinite value and relative divinity

expression: pre-personal (the higher self), personal (as in the evolutionary experience of human

OM TIMES | June 2023

beings), and super-personal (certain celestial beings).

I am writing about these three levels of cosmic consciousness because when we reach the realm of the heart, we can go beyond personal experience. When we move our spirit from the brain to the heart, we can experience pre-personal (higher self) and super-personal (contact with higher and more advanced spiritual beings).

The only way to communicate within these levels is to use the language of the heart. While we are using the language of the heart, the higher concepts of universe personality are expressed automatically within us: identity, self-consciousness, self-will, and the possibility for self-revelation.

The language of the heart has another vital role. In any universe, in the contest between actual levels of reality, the personality of the higher level will ultimately triumph

OM TIMES | June 2023

over that of the lower level. This inevitable outcome of universe controversy is inherent in the fact that divinity of quality equals the degree of reality or actuality of any willing creature. Using the language of the heart, we are able to go over any error or unmitigated iniquity. Ultimately, we can "clean" our karma and touch that level of high reality characteristic of the heart's energy.

Last but not least, the role of the language of the heart is related to forgiveness and love. We are born inherently kind and naturally compassionate. The better a man understands his neighbor, the easier it will be to forgive or even love him. We can forgive ourselves and all our trespassers using the language of the heart.

OM TIMES | June 2023

And let's all remember that we are born from love; therefore, our only personal attitude towards others is always a reaction of divine affection.

Numerology and True Love: Numerology is the Key to find Your soulmate

Numerology is a science that has existed since the earliest times. It deals with numbers and how

they will act in your life. Thus, it's possible to discover your soulmate through their birth date! Numerology will provide value for your soul and

OM TIMES | June 2023

your loved one's soul. Once you have these, you will compare these two numbers and analyze if the combination of your soul and their soul is a match.

Moreover, numerology will only give you more certainty of what you already know because soulmates recognize each other through their gaze! In other words, numerology is the confirmation and a potential indication of whether a relationship may or may not work out. Besides, numerology is advancing more and more. Thus, knowing how to identify your soulmate is a good option.

And what will be the procedure for you to discover your soulmate by the date of birth?

See, it's not complicated at all!

You will do the following: find out your lover's birthday or full name.

I'LL SIMULATE

BOTH METHODS

BY NAME AND DATE:

First: to discover your soulmate by date of birth, it will be as follows. You will add up all the birth date numbers until you arrive at a single number.

For example, you were born on March 4 (month 3) of 1990.

So, in this way, your soul number is 8. Do the same process with your loved one.

Add all up until it is a single number.

But you can find your soulmate through their name if you don't know their birth date.

To do this, the first step is: You will take the vowel letters from your name and your loved one's name.

Second, you will assign the following numbers to the vowels: A=1; E=5; I=9; O=6; U=3. After assigning values to the vowels, you will add them up. Example:

John Smith – O=6, I=9 or 6+9=15, 1=5=6

Thus, their soul number is 6!

DISCOVER YOUR SOUL NUMBER.

Now that you know your soul number and that of your loved one, it's time to understand what these numbers represent in numerology. But, regardless of the result, never

OM TIMES | June 2023

forget: soulmates recognize each other through their gaze.

How can I find my soulmate?

Now that you know a bit about numerology, you will soon ask yourself: How to discover your

soulmate? I must tell you that it's not an easy path.

Soulmates are on a higher level of love, much more than any other. They are perfect, a mutual and infinite love. Not all the evil in the world will be able to separate them.

The first step you should know is that they will meet in unusual places, such as:

OM TIMES | June 2023

In a bank line, a chemical toilet, in the restaurant. These are places different from the norm; furthermore, the circumstances are good.

Another thing you need to pay attention to is whether you can connect with the person through their gaze. The gaze is the window of the soul! In fact, know that you may initially feel fear or a different feeling than love.

It does not always occur, as in Romeo and Juliet. Many times, it's something unknown and frightening.

Lastly, it is important to show that the love of soulmates is greater than anything. It's infinite. Like Romeo and Juliet, they would enter a family war if necessary, I die, and I kill for you!

Finally, you will try to discover your soulmate by birth date! And confirm if they are your soulmate. But what is a soulmate?

The first point is that most of the time, twin souls are of opposite genders, such as men and women, binary and non-binary, and so on. Knowing this, it can be concluded that they will be accomplices to each other.

The two will have a bond that will do the following: If one suffers, the other does too, but one will help the other to get up. In other words, they are souls connected to each other. Also, one deeply trusts the other!

But they don't need to be connected by blood ties. On the contrary, many times, they will be from different families. One is the family of the other.

HOW DO I KNOW I FOUND MY SOULMATE?

In the end, there will always be doubt about identifying your soulmate and whether they are truly your soulmate. Therefore, the first step will be to discover your soulmate by birth date. That is, you will resort to numerology.

Now you know how to discover your soulmate, so it's time to meet your twin soul.

Do you know what it is?

After that, you will feel that if they are truly your life's love, it's almost an uncertain answer. Only your heart can guide you to the truth.

Past Life Tarot: Is that a Thing?

Discover if it's possible to reveal your past lives through Tarot!

Do you want to know if it's really possible to understand your past lives through Tarot? Today, we'll show

you what this oracle can reveal to you, including about the past. After all, this reading brings us the answers we're seeking.

Generally, many people wonder about what happened in other lives.

OM TIMES | June 2023

Is there anyone familiar still on your path? Here, it's very common to think about love, soulmates, and so forth.

For this reason, we prepared a post to talk precisely about past lives in Tarot. And we'll start by discussing self-awareness concerning the oracle.

DÉJÀ-VU: HOW TO SEE PAST LIVES IN TAROT?

Let's differentiate the two concepts before understanding whether it's

possible to learn about past lives through Tarot. Thus, we understand the dynamic with which these points relate.

PAST LIVES

From this perspective, we'll start by talking about life after death. According to spiritualism, we reincarnate into another physical body with the intention to learn and evolve. However, we usually have no memories of these past lives. In

OM TIMES | June 2023

some cases, this could lead to an imbalance during the journey of evolution.

On the other hand, you can access these memories in regression therapy with the support of a medium. Or, if you prefer, you can also ask questions with a tarot reader during a reading.

Whatever your choice, check out these tips from the expert Solange, especially about the balance issue. She reflects on "who we were in past lives" in this video.

TAROT READING

Let's say you want to know how traumas from a past life can have reflections in the present time. For instance, let's assume you scheduled an Egyptian Tarot consultation to find out what the oracle will show you.

In this spread, the tarot reader interprets the symbolism to advise you about things that influence your life. By the way, the cards have aspects that bring "clues" about what's in the subconscious.

OM TIMES | June 2023

Therefore, this involves both what happened in the past and what is yet to come.

So, to know what to ask about past lives in Tarot, let's learn more about the oracle. Next, tarot reader Brendan explains how this game's interpretation of the symbolism works.

5 TIPS TO DISCOVER PAST LIVES IN TAROT

We've listed 5 tips to help you understand the answers linked to past lives in Tarot. After all,

it's essential to pay attention to every detail in this very rich and enlightening symbolism.

MAJOR AND MINOR ARCANA

While major arcana represent universal laws, minor arcana symbolize everyday situations. For example, you ask: "Who was I in a past life?". And, in Tarot, the Priestess (or Popess) card appears. But what does this mean?

In general, this card symbolizes mystery, self-confidence, and

OM TIMES | June 2023

wisdom. However, the interpretation has everything to do with the context in which the Priestess is inserted in the game.

CARD SUITS

The suits also have their own meanings in Tarot and cartomancy. To illustrate, we will talk about the main characteristics of each suit.

Pentacles: materiality, money, construction, work, and physical expression. With the Eight of Pentacles, we have intelligence, dexterity, greed, and avarice.

Cups: love, dream, art, relationship, and psychic gifts. A Six of Cups brings to light memories of past love and also your romantic fantasies.

Swords: rationality, search for truth, triumph, logic, and courage. The Ace of Swords denotes an excess of passion, whether love or intense hatred.

Wands: inspiration, creativity, energy, vision, resourcefulness, and growth. In the case of the Page of Wands, we're talking about loyalty, trust, consistency, etc.

OM TIMES | June 2023

The suits that are revealed during the reading also bring very relevant information. But remember, these cards are within a context, okay?

CARD SPREAD METHODS

A tarot reader can use different methods of card spreads. And, since we are talking about past lives in Tarot, we will address the linear spread with 3 cards. From this perspective, the reading will answer the past, present, and future questions.

The 1 st card speaks precisely of the past. That is, the card represents what led to the current situation. It is probably a person or an event that influences your daily journey.

The 2 nd card addresses the present time, especially those things that are difficult to see. Sometimes, we must change our perspective to understand how things connect.

you. After all, we have free will even in reincarnation.

PSYCHIC MEDIUMSHIP

To investigate other lives, it is ideal that the tarot reader has psychic mediumship. In other words, the point here is to have a fine-tuned connection with the spiritual world. This way, it will be easier to interpret what the cards reveal.

In fact, one of the characteristics of a psychic medium is the ability to feel the pain of others. Therefore, they can use their heightened intuition and premonitions to refine their advice.

REVELATIONS OF PAST LIVES TAROT

Finally, the 3 rd card shows the future and what lies ahead. In any case, deciding whether you will heed the cards' advice is up to

To wrap up, let's talk about the specifics of this consultation. When having a consultation or a reading with past lives Tarot specialists, you might notice some repetitive patterns, like addictions. Therefore, it's important to analyze the current situation and return in time to gain insights from other lives. Tarot can be a wonderful way to practice ancestral healing.

Personal Growth & Development

We grow as individuals as we face challenges and overcome life’s obstacles. This section is dedicated to helping you chart your course.

The Six Keys to Living In Your Heart Place

Your heart place is a place where you feel loved and feel at peace at all times. It is a place where the angels and your guides live too.

There is no anger and hate there. There is no ego present either. It's more of a place where you think with your heart, not your head. In the first part of the article, I will talk

OM TIMES | June 2023

about the emotions and feelings you may have when not living in the heart place.

The second part of the article will be about the 6 keys to knowing you are living in your heart place.

Ways that you know you are not in your heart place are as follows.

1. An ger keeps you fully out of the heart place. When feeling anger, you feel very negative towards the person you are angry with. You do not feel very peaceful, and sometimes it is difficult to get over your anger toward someone. Sometimes stepping away from the offense, and feeling forgiveness towards that person, helps you to move on from that anger. This will help in moving towards living, in the heart place.

2. Despair is another emotion or feeling that keeps you out of your heart place. Despair can be a type of hopeless feeling which makes you feel totally helpless. When feeling despair, we often feel we cannot get the help we need because we feel no one can help us.

3. Sa dness or grief can also keep us out of the heart space. When we are sad or grieving, we are so overcome by that feeling that we become totally paralyzed by that feeling. As a result, we tend to isolate ourselves and may also become angry on some level. Understanding that sadness or grief is a life transition of some sort makes it easier to be positive, despite the situation.

4. Hate is a very powerful word, but it is something that someone may feel towards someone at one time or another. Hate is a very strong feeling and can erase any positive emotion. Feeling hate is like a black cloud blocking you from always feeling joyful.

5. Jealousy is another emotion that will keep you out of the heart place. Jealousy will keep you from being joyful when someone you might know is enjoying a positive milestone in their life. You might feel some bitterness toward that person, or you may just totally resent what they may have accomplished on some level.

OM TIMES | June 2023

Those feelings or emotions that have been listed above are just a few of the feelings or emotions that may keep you out of the Heart Place. We all feel these emotions at one time or another. When we realize we have this reaction, we may change our feelings towards this person or group of people. When we do this, we start to move towards living in the heart place.

THE 6 WAYS WE KNOW WE ARE REACHING OUR HEART PLACE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. Joy is always present in our hearts. We feel a great deal of

joy in our lives and towards the people that are in our life. We love to start our day with joy in every way. We wake up with great joy and plan our day with lots of joy too. We tend not to dread what our day will be like. We plan our day with careful thinking and plan it, so the joy can stay there at all times.

2. The feeling of love towards others is present in our lives. We feel a great deal of love towards all we know, whether they be the people we see the most or the people we see less often. Love helps us live

OM TIMES | June 2023

in our hearts because the ego is nowhere in sight. We tend not to judge as much and be more positive toward all we know. The love we feel is unconditional, and no strings are attached in any way.

3. Peace is very much felt when we are in our heart place. The peace that we feel is very deep. Our thoughts are not racing with negative thoughts. We are thinking very positively about issues in our lives and the people in our lives, too. We are peaceful when we know our life will always be blessed.

4. Calmness is a lot like peace. When feeling calm, we are not allowing life to upset us in any way. Yes, there may be upsetting things happening in our life, and we choose to remain calm through it all. We are mindful of what is happening but not allowing the issue to wreck our life. We are choosing not to react negatively and to remain positive at all times.

5. Inspiration is a way of letting spirit into our lives. We find that we get much comfort in listening to angels, or our guides, and mostly hearing from God

OM TIMES | June 2023

or other Higher Power. We find that their wise words may be making some sense to us. We notice the synchronicities that are happening, and we realize that we are being helped and guided. We know that we are not alone. Most importantly, we are grateful for all that we have in our lives.

6. We have a lot of clarity in our lives, realizing who we were before understanding the heart place and how it feels to live there. We have a sense of

handling ourselves much more positively in our life. We think life is a learning process, and we learn new things daily. We feel our angels' presence and the love we receive from them. We have a sense of purpose in helping ourselves and in helping others.

Many times, I have heard that when you are in your heart place, you start to realize that negative thinking is really a choice. Sometimes the tapes of

OM TIMES | June 2023

our growing up with loved ones were played to us. We didn't know any better and realized that to think there were other ways was impossible to grasp. Yet, we felt the black cloud hanging over us. The realization that the black cloud can clear is life changing.

The angels also remind us that life can become so much more wonderful when the tapes are changed. You will find more sunny days than days with black clouds. When living in the heart place, you

feel brighter, and the new clarity your feel is life-changing for you on every level.

Please don't be afraid to go to your heart place, for you will feel so much joy when the black clouds clear. When you feel this joy, love, peace, calm, inspiration, or clarity, you will know that you are living in your heart place.

The Three Dysfunctional Ways of Dealing with Anger

The topic of anger comes up fairly often in my psychiatry practice.

Recently, I saw the movie, Turning Red, and I started thinking

about the different ways that people deal with their anger. I’ve noticed over the years that people manage their anger in three different dysfunctional ways.

OM TIMES | June 2023

1. Repression. The person will keep shoving it down because they’re afraid of what would happen if they were to express it directly.

They’re afraid of being criticized or rejected if they were to express their anger clearly and directly, so they don’t. Ever.

Unfortunately, repressing anger usually leads to maddening passiveaggressive behavior or inadvertent, shocking explosions of rage.

Paradoxically, the social consequences of these behaviors are far worse than what would have happened if they had just shared their honest feelings in the first place.

Repression is also dangerous because it can lead to addiction. As a result, people will use cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, or other compulsive behaviors in an attempt to neutralize this frightening emotion.

OM TIMES | June 2023

Then they have two problems: what to do with all the rage bubbling up inside them and how to cope with all the consequences of their addictions.

2. Bein g on a “high boil” and frequently boiling over into angry outbursts. This is not only socially unacceptable but potentially dangerous to yourself and others.

People tend to be uncomfortable around “rageaholics,” and they prefer to avoid such individuals.

And if your rage is really that hot, you’ll likely get into legal trouble too.

3. Bein g on a constant “low boil.”

You walk around simmering and seething with resentment, and you make yourself and those around you feel miserable.

Everyone can feel the toxic anger seeping through their pores, and it’s extremely off-putting. But, on the other hand, it’s a good way to lose friends and attract unsavory characters.

OM TIMES | June 2023

So you don’t want to get caught up in any of these three ways of managing your anger.

The best way to deal with anger is to fully acknowledge it and then decide whether, when, and how to express it.

You might want to politely and respectfully tell the other person what they did to upset you and then wait and see how they respond.

If they’re open to the feedback and reasonable in their reactions, then the two of you can work things out.

If they become defensive or try to gaslight or intimidate you, they’ve just shown you that they’re unwilling to take responsibility for their actions. At that point, it’s probably best just to walk away.

Sometimes, it’s not safe to express your anger directly; for example, with an abuser or someone with much more power than you do. Sometimes – such as with a toxic colleague – it’s not strategic.

In these cases, you can journal; write the person a letter that will never be

sent, or you can do some type of artwork to vent your emotions.

You should never confront someone if you suspect that it might not be safe for you to do so.

And you should never express your anger if it’s going to get you in trouble or compromise your career.

Sometimes, vigorous physical activity is helpful in blowing off steam. Sometimes, deep breathing can help.

OM TIMES | June 2023

Most importantly, you don’t want to walk around with a lot of anger. It’s not good for your health – both physically and mentally.

Interestingly, it can be a challenge to identify the source of some anger. Sometimes, what you think is making you angry is not the issue.

Sometimes, you’re triggered into reacting to a past event. Sometimes, you’re angry about something that feels “safer” to be mad about, as opposed to the thing that’s really pissing you off.

It’s important to tune into your feelings so that you’re clear about what your anger is, in fact, directed toward. Otherwise, people will be confused about what’s going on and how to respond to you.

Anger is often a scary emotion –especially if your early experiences of it were negative. But really, it’s just a signal that something bad is happening.

It could indicate that you’re being hurt, that a loved one is being

OM TIMES | June 2023

hurt, or that an injustice is occurring in the world.

best use of it with minimal negative consequences.

If you see anger as a signal, you can use it appropriately to guide your actions in terms of self-care, relationships, and how you live your life.

Anger itself isn’t bad; it’s got a bad rap because of what some people do when they’re angry.

If you can see it as an energy that arises and flows through you and out of you, then you can make the

Are You Stuck in Self-Sabotaging Habits?

How well are you taking care of yourself? Do you take time for yourself, or are there so many distractions in your life that you are last on the list of your busy schedule?

If we are not taking time for ourselves, it's difficult for us to be giving love to someone else because we run out of energy. If there is nothing left for us, there sure will be nothing left for anyone else!

OM TIMES | June 2023

Getting to the root of why you are not taking time for yourself is the first step in changing your behavior.

If we really value ourselves, we find the time to do what's important to us. But that can be challenging when so many other influences pull on our time and energy. It can be easy to fall into self-sabotage.

Self-sabotage habits are behaviors or thought patterns that prevent individuals from achieving their goals and realizing their full potential.

Some common self-sabotage habits include:

1. Procrastination: Delaying or putting off important tasks, often until the last minute, can lead to missed opportunities and increased stress.

2. Negative self-talk: Belittling oneself, focusing on weaknesses rather than strengths, and doubting one's abilities can undermine confidence and self-esteem.

OM TIMES | June 2023

3. Perfectionism: Setting impossibly high standards and being overly critical of oneself can lead to feelings of failure and inadequacy.

4. Fear of failure: Avoiding taking risks or trying new things for fear of failure can prevent individuals from reaching their full potential.

5. Self-medication: Using substances or engaging in other unhealthy behaviors, such as overeating or overspending, to cope with negative emotions can lead to further problems and interfere with achieving goals.

6. People-pleasing: Prioritizing the needs and wants of others over one's own can lead to burnout and resentment and may prevent individuals from pursuing their own goals and desires.

By identifying and addressing self-sabotage habits, individuals can break free from patterns that hold them back and work towards achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives.

Overcoming self-sabotaging habits is critical, so you can start investing your energy in creating the

OM TIMES | June 2023

relationship of your dreams and living a life of love.

If it feels like you are stuck in some old habits and you are having a difficult time moving forward, take some time to work through the following:

1. Are you carrying any emotional baggage from the past? Are there patterns you keep repeating in your life or relationships? Is something from your past still unresolved and keeping you stuck? Very often, it can be hard to see these things for ourselves.

However, I've found journaling and meditation to be wonderful avenues to discovering what's still unresolved emotional baggage from the past. Working with a coach or energy therapist can also help bring these issues to light.

2. Do you have limiting beliefs or inner conflict around what you can create? This can be huge. Often we are completely unaware of how we are limiting ourselves simply because we haven't thought about it. For example, do you really believe you deserve to have the life you desire? Or do all kinds of

OM TIMES | June 2023

limiting beliefs rise to the surface when you think about it? Writing down these thoughts as they come up and looking at them on paper can help you get clear of what may be holding you back unconsciously.

3. Make your list of pros and cons about incorporating those great new habits you want into your life. Okay, this is the fun part. First, write down all the reasons you want to change an old, bad habit and what will happen if

you do. Then go back and write down what will happen if you don't. Usually, if our "why" is big enough, we'll find the time and energy to invest in ourselves in a positive way. Whether that be incorporating a new exercise program, taking time to journal or meditate, or just eating better, when we really remember and focus our attention on how great we'll feel when we do the things to take care of ourselves, it's easier to start following through.

OM TIMES | June 2023

Overcoming self-sabotage can be challenging if we let our unresolved stuff from the past keep us stuck. But once you discover what was holding you back, you can move on to creating new and wonderful habits for yourself that will support you in living the life you desire and attracting the love of your life.
