We believe that advocacy and being knowledgeable about how the Government works is an essential skill for all of those in the real estate profession. We are excited to kick-off our 2nd Annual Government 101 series this June! All members are invited to attend this FREE series of 3 sessions to learn more about the inner workings of our local government and hear the plans for Osceola County’s future directly from your locally elected and appointed officials.

Our first session, Let’s Talk Voting & Property, will be on June 13 from 9:30 am to 11 am. Next, we will have Conversations & Coffee with the Clerk and County Officials on June 20 from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. And, lastly, on June 30 we will host a Meet & Eat with City & School Board officials from 11 am to 1 pm. Any member who attends all

3 sessions will be recognized with a certificate during the third and final session and will be entered into a gift card raffle! All three sessions will take place at the Association.

Greetings from the RPAC Committee! As always, I want to thank all of you who have invested in your profession this year by contributing to RPAC!

As we ask for your continued support for RPAC for 2023, here are some ways you can invest:

Stellar MLS Annual Billing: Make a $30 investment to RPAC when you renew your MLS. This year, you will see a separate invoice. If you check the box for the $30 invoice from the main screen, RPAC will be included when you pay your overall bill. Then the next time you stop by the Association, pick up a Realtor® Party Pen & Pencil set that shows you support RPAC!

International Food & Wine Festival: Don’t forget, on May 18 from 4-7 p.m., we are hosting an International Food and Wine Festival to include a silent and live auction, cornhole competition, and other games. We have half a dozen food trucks scheduled and some great international wines for you to sample! There is an early bird special discount, so sign up by May 8th. Cars & Coffee: Do you have an antique, collector, or sports car? Many of you already know that members of our committee volunteer each month for the Meals on Wheels program through the Osceola Council on Aging in the fight to end senior hunger. In fact, we look forward to it each month! Getting out into our community to meet face-to-face with the clients of this program is such a joy.

But did you know that this month in honor of Mother’s Day all OSCAR members, not just REALTORS ®️ Care Committee members, are invited to volunteer to deliver food to moms for a few hours in the morning on Sunday, May 14th? If you are interested in volunteering, contact Nancy Hubbard at nhubbard@osceola-realtors.com

Lastly, don’t forget to register for our Florida Realtors ®️Clean Up Florida Waters event on July 5, 2023, from 9 am - 12 pm. We will need your help to make this day of volunteerism nothing but smooth sailing to get the job done. Register at OsceolaRealtors.Org/Cleanup

May is set to be an exciting month for the global real estate industry, with several important events scheduled to take place locally and around the world. As the Commercial Alliance Committee Chair, I am excited to share so many events happening in the world of Commercial Real Estate.

On April 5, 2023, the Florida CCIM Chapter Central District hosted an Osceola County Growth Update in Neo City. Some of the exciting Commercial Real Estate Projects in Osceola County include:

1. NeoCity: A high-tech research and development hub that includes a 500-acre masterplanned technology district in Osceola County.

2. The Crosslands: A mixed-use development that includes office, retail, and residential space, located at the intersection of US 192 and Narcoossee Road.

3. Osceola Corporate Center: A 150-acre business park located near the intersection of Florida’s Turnpike and US 192, featuring office and industrial space.

4. Poinciana Office and Industrial Park: A 225-acre development in Poinciana, featuring office and industrial space, as well as retail and hospitality offerings.

5. Tupperware SunRail Station: A transit-oriented development that includes a new commuter rail station and mixed-use development adjacent to the Tupperware Brands Corporation headquarters in Osceola County.

6. Flamingo Crossings: A 450-acre development in western Osceola County that includes hotel and retail offerings, with Walt Disney World Resort located nearby.
