President’s Corner Steve Kidd, President

By the time you read this article, GCR will be well into the 2020 elections and hopefully many of you voted. If not, you still have until November 15th. If you don’t want to vote electronically or didn’t receive an email from Election Runner, you can contact the region Secretary, get a paper ballot and vote by mail. Your ballot must be postmarked by 11/15. On another topic, things appear to be opening up and the GCR board will carefully consider what social functions to reestablish and when. COVID-19 waivers (CDW) should be with us for a while, as well as other best safety practices. If you have been following the recent news from various sources, you may have heard about a movement to form a new region in the northern part of Gold Coast. Multiple ideas are being reviewed and a study is underway to look at, among other things, alternative choices. The following will focus on what I’ll call the “area” concept. That is, dividing a region into multiple “bite-size” areas which can offer a certain amount of independence and event operation, but still benefit and utilize centralized functions such as treasury, newsletter, website, and other administrative tasks best handled by an established region. This study will look at two regions that utilize the “area” model and provide food for thought as to whether or not a variation of these models could work in the Gold Coast Region. Some of this subject matter was obtained from regional websites and newsletters, with other information gleaned from knowledgeable PCA members. The North Florida Region (NFR) Example The North Florida Region consists of a large east-to-west area in the Panhandle. Because of its large physical size and diversity, the region is divided into two areas: the Canopy Roads Area (which covers the area from Madison, FL in the east to Apalachicola, FL in the west) and

the Emerald Coast Area (which covers the remainder of the Region to Crestview, FL in the West) . In total NFR covers 16 counties and it can be a three-hour drive from one end of the region to the other end. I have some firsthand knowledge of how this area concept developed. In 2016 I was Zone Representative and recall discussing options with the two major stakeholders. While a region split was considered, Bob and Tommy and others avoided a separation with some creative thinking and willingness to compromise. As I remember, the issue involved the coastal western portion of the region that felt distanced from the core area in Tallahassee where many events and board meetings were held. The area around Destin/Fort Walton Beach wanted to separate and there was talk of forming a new region. Through negotiation and compromise, a solution was found by creating two separate areas within the region. The Canopy Roads Area was centered around Tallahassee while the Emerald Coast Area was concentrated in the Panhandle beach areas around Destin/ Fort Walton Beach. Each would operate somewhat separately, but under the same umbrella and the North Florida Region name. Sticking points like board meetings, socials and operations were worked out without splitting the region, and today all members are being served in a more effective manner. The Carolina Region (CAR) example My first observation is that the “area” concept has been alive and well for many years in CAR and the idea is perfectly suited for CAR’s operational model. With approximately 3,000 members and affiliates, CAR is the second-largest region in Zone 3 and one of the largest in PCA, both in terms of geographical size and membership numbers. CAR covers much of North and South Carolina and because of such size, is broken up into six areas to better accommodate the region’s size and

geographic diversity. Each area is led by an Area Director and hosts a monthly area meeting. Area directors call the shots in their area and have unique identities on the region website and newsletter. Each area director not only holds their own meetings and events, but is also the “go-to” person for issues in that locale. As indicated on their website, area meetings are open to all current and potential PCA members, and are generally held at an area restaurant, a local Porsche dealer, or Porsche-related business. Area meetings allow members and area directors to get together to discuss club business, upcoming events, their Porsches, and socialize with others that share similar interests. Some meetings may also include a technical session where participants can learn more about maintaining their Porsches. After the meeting there may be a drive-and-dine where members and fellow enthusiasts can drive along interesting and scenic roads to meet at an area restaurant for more socializing. Area meetings are generally about an hour long, and are described as “a great opportunity to meet wonderful Porsche fans.” In addition to the website, an equal amount of area material is devoted to CAR’s newsletter, Tobacco Roads . Check out their latest addition here: https://www.carolinas- pca.com/NewsDates/TRArchive/2020_09_TR.pdf . When you take a look at this newsletter you can see the six area directors are prominently identified and write articles in the newsletter. Looking more closely, the area concept is further formalized and written into the CAR’s By-laws, which can be reviewed on the CAR’s website, along with a map of the region and the six areas. The question is whether a variation of the area concept might be right for GCR as opposed to splitting the region . . . . More to report next month. Stay safe,

t last we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Our PCA events are coming back on line after several months of downtime. We just conducted the Lake Placid Mural Tour, the second annual Drive to North Carolina was well attended and after a long dry spell our DE program will be restarted at Homestead-Miami Speedway the beginning of this month. Articles and photos of these events will be in our next issue. It’s great to be able to get back with our PCA family and enjoy all of the activities our club has to offer. Another all time favorite of the club is the Porsches and Pancakes breakfast held the 1st Saturday

of the month at locations throughout the region. Please check the calendar because several locations have been changed to help meet the COVID-19 guidelines, e-mail notification will also be used to update the members on these changes. Please go to page 27 for information on this years 48 Hour at Sebring club race. We are looking for volunteers to support the race and also advanced solo drivers to take part in this historic event. As the event continues to grow we are creating a team of Gold Coast members to help work on the Ronald McDonald House charity auction. Please review the flyer on page

28 and help us procure auction items for the very special charity event. For more details please contact me. We have a winner! Check out our first winner in the “Photo of the Month” contest on page 23. Thanks to Christy Spangler for creating and managing this new section of the Kassette. For the 914’s fans, Ron Meyers provides a conclusion to his “Obsession for the Perfect 914” story. Next month he will provide some very interesting 914 history. I hope you have voted for the 2021-2022 Officers and Board of Directors. If you need help, contact the Membership Chair.

Obsession For The Perfect 914 conclusion

Story and Photos by Ron Meyers

Last month Ron wrote about his adventure buying his first car, a 1970 914. He loved the car but eventually sold it for something more practical. In the years that followed, Ron purchased another nice 1976 914 and then a 1987 911 Cabriolet. However, he was always on the hunt for the “perfect 914.” In this final installment Ron writes about finding the perfect 914. However, there were some strings attached. Would Ron be able to actually purchase the car? Read on.

CHAPTER 5: To Dream The Impossible Dream Each month I would eagerly await the arrival of the Panorama, flip straight to The Mart section and review all of the 914s offered for sale. It was in the September, 1998 issue that I found the following advertisement: “1972 914/1.7 Roadster, red/drkbrn, app grp (chrome bumpers, fog lights, vinyl cover on roll bar, center bin, alloys Mahle,) AM/FM stereo, purchased in Italy in 1972 by current owner, driven 5,692 miles. This car is new, spare never out, let alone on the ground, not a chip or ding, five original

10

Die Porsche

tires. $$$$/OBO.” NOTE: The actual colors on the car were #1310 Bahia Red and #21 Russet Leatherette. The Italian 914s differed from the American and European 914s by utilizing clear front turn signal lenses with an amber bulb while the European lens was half clear and half amber and the American lens was 100% amber, an embossed figure of the Wolfsburg Castle on the bat wing horn lever rather than the Porsche crest, and the rear nomenclature was “914-VW-Porsche” rather than simply 914. 5,692 miles? Was this a misprint? During the Allegheny Region PCA Nominating Dinner I brought up the subject of my interest in this car with the Kesslers, Kishs and Tauriellos. After some extensive discussion Bill Kish said, “Ronny, you’re not going to be happy until you get the perfect 914. Why don’t you just go to Boston and look at the car.” He should talk about perfect 914s! The Tauriellos and Kesslers concurred. Dan Tauriello’s mental wheels began to spin and he suddenly blurted out, “I work for US Air, I can get you a Buddy pass for $85, I am off next Tuesday, I’ve always wanted to see Boston, I’ll bring two pairs of overalls from Maintenance,

Kassette | Nov 2020

I can meet you at the Gate after work at 7AM, we can fly to see the car and be home by 7PM.” Whoa Dan! Can I buy a vowel? Dan had just blurted out such a run-on sentence that all of us were gasping for air at the table! It didn’t take much arm twisting to get me to agree. I would look into going to Boston to see the car. From the start, this deal was very tenuous. The advertisement was placed by a broker who was unwilling to let me talk to the car owner. After several conversations, I learned that my offer was acceptable to the current owner (whose name I would later learn was Lorenzo) but that the broker wanted to make $3500 on the deal. I was willing to give the broker $500 for his time and effort but $3500...that was gouging. That Friday the broker and I locked into a vigorous verbal discussion which was “intensely audible.” Now mind you, it had been 14 days since I had had a good night’s sleep, the same period of time that I had been working with this broker! Aggravated, I hung up the phone; we would talk again on Monday. Fate sometimes has a way of intervening when things are supposed to happen. I can’t explain why, but some deals are meant to be and some are not. Monday came and I spoke with the broker who informed me that the owner was no longer willing to sell the car. He would work on him and get back to me later in the week. I was crestfallen. I had been only getting 3 or 4 hours of sleep each night because I kept thinking of this new 914 and I wouldn’t allow myself to fall asleep. There was nothing I could do but to wait and see what developed. By the end of the week the situation hadn’t changed and I was beginning to lose faith. It looked as though this deal was one of those “not meant to be” varieties. I was preparing myself for the fact that I might not get this 914.

CHAPTER 7: Ron and Dan’s Excellent Adventure

CHAPTER 6: Wait, What?! Sunday night the phone rings and it is Hank Kessler. I almost didn’t answer the phone because it was dinner time and we were just getting ready to sit down. “Ron, do you know a guy named Lorenzo in Boston trying to sell a 914?” I jumped off the chair and yelled, “Hank, you know Lorenzo? Susie, its Hank! He found Lorenzo!!” Hank had received a call from the McConahas’ who had received several calls on their answering machine, in broken English, from a man in Boston trying to locate the “President of the Pittsburgh Porsche Club.” As best as I understood the story, Lorenzo too became fed up with the broker. Lorenzo remembered that the broker had mentioned my name and that I was from Pittsburgh so he set out to find me! For some reason he called a Porsche dealership in California who then gave him the number of a custom muffler builder about four hours east of Pittsburgh. The muffler guy found an old Rundschau and saw that Claire McConaha was the President. Lorenzo called Claire who advised him that Hank Kessler was the

current President. When Hank received Lorenzo’s call, he immediately knew Lorenzo was looking for me! Can you believe it?! Maybe some things were made to be. Hank gave me Lorenzo’s phone number and within two minutes Lorenzo and I were yelling, laughing and acting like two school girls on the phone! We agreed to meet the following Tuesday in Boston.

I called Dan Tauriello to take him up on his previous offer to use his US Air Buddy Pass for the trip to Boston. What Dan didn’t know was that from 1972-76 I attended Boston University. I hadn’t been back to Boston since graduation but loved the town. I had tons of memories of my first 914 at the Cape, in Maine and in the White Mountains. I was really looking forward to this trip. That night I finally got some rest. (Continued on page 14)

Obsession For The Perfect 914 CHAPTER 8: The Downhill Run

Continued from page 11 Lorenzo didn’t want to meet us at the airport because the “Big Dig” had Boston a mess. So, Dan and I boarded an airport bus to meet Lorenzo in Braintree. Upon first sight, it was apparent that Lorenzo was quite Italian. He wore a red Ferrari racing jacket and during the entire trip to his house spoke in broken English only about cars and the 914. Lorenzo explained that he purchased the 914 in Italy in 1971 but because of the slow Italian economy couldn’t take delivery of the car until 1972. He drove the car for only four months (9,700 Km) before taking advantage of an opportunity to go to America. While in the United States he stored the car, covered, in his grandfather’s barn, believing that he would soon return to Italy. Nineteen years later, in 1991, Lorenzo finally realized that he would not be returning to Italy and had the car shipped to Boston in a container. Once in Boston he drove the 914 into his one-car carpeted garage, covered it, and left it there for another seven years. Lorenzo would regularly change the oil and filter, start the car and run it and drain and refill the fuel tank on a periodic basis. The car was in absolutely mint condition. Lorenzo had recently purchased an Acura NSX that he could drive on a regular basis. He truly loved the 914 but resolved to part with the 914 so he could store the Acura in his garage.

14

Die Porsche

As we turned from the road towards Lorenzo’s house, there, in the Governors’ Driveway, sat the 914 with bright chrome bumpers shining in the mid-morning sun. Dan and I were all giggles as we tried in vain to hide our excitement. Lorenzo’s mother met us at the door with espresso and pastries. While we ate the goodies, we got a chance to get to know each other. To this day, I truly believe that if Mrs. Fucchini didn’t like us, the car would still be in Boston. Following our wonderful welcome, Dan and I went back outside to the gleaming 914 and slowly looked over the car. We kept interrupting each other to look at this or that on the car. Dan showed me the yellow inspection markings painted on the lug nuts and I showed him the factory delivery paper still on the rocker panels. We both commented on the cosmolene still in both trunks and the engine compartment. This car was so new it hadn’t even been dealer prepped! A hand shake closed the deal. Lorenzo dropped Dan and I off at the train station. It was 2 PM and we were still excited, hungry and now exhausted. Dan and I took the train into Boston, switched across several different undergrounds and wound up in the North End in front of the Union Street Oyster House, the oldest continuously running restaurant in America. Up the stairs we went for some soft shelled calms and fresh assorted seafood. While we managed to erode our hunger we could not contain our excitement. After dinner, we bought 12 pounds of Ipswich Steamers to take home then caught the underground back to the airport. Dan slept most of the way home being exhausted from being up for the last 26 hours. On the other hand, I closed my eyes to think of how fortunate I was to have found this 914. It had taken 8 years but I had finally found the needle in the haystack.

Kassette | Nov 2020

Upon my return home, Bill Kish agreed to lend me his custom 914 trailer. To pull the trailer, I had U-Haul install a hitch to my Jeep and the following weekend I was driving the eleven hours to Boston. The trip to Boston was rather uneventful but quite long. I traveled many times to college using this route and was surprised at the many changes. Once in Boston, I made my way to Lorenzo’s home and under the light of the moon, strapped my 914 to the trailer. That night I stayed with Susie’s cousin in Newton but didn’t sleep well and was on the road by 6AM the next morning. The trip was not too bad except that I tried to get all the way through the Poconos before stopping for fuel. About 25 miles from my planned stop, the Jeep bucked hard twice and coasted to a stop. Crap! I ran out of fuel! Not knowing exactly where I was. I flagged down the first passing car which happened to be driven by a paramedic with a soft spot for sports cars. I looked out the rear of his Toyota as we drove over the crest of the hill to watch my 914 disappear. Lady luck was with me that day as there was a gas station only a mile down the road. Ten minutes later my paramedic friend had me back to the Jeep where we gave it a much needed drink. The rest of the trip was a downhill run. I was home in time for Sunday dinner…safe, sound, hungry but physically and mentally exhausted. Over the next few years I concourse the car taking several 1sts and even the Peoples’ Choice Award at the 1999 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Porsche Division where 300 Porsches showed. Things in life sometimes arise from group efforts. This was clearly one such event. Were it not for the encouragement of my family, the hand-holding by the Kishs’ and Kesslers’ and the expertise (not to mention the Buddy Pass) of the Tauriellos’ this 914 would never have found its new home in Pittsburgh. I have all of my Allegheny Region Porsche Club of America friends to thank for making my dream come true.

EPILOGUE: Oh Noooooo In 2002 Jamie was preparing to go to Georgia Tech and we needed money to pay for his tuition. Upon several pained discussions we decided to sell the Italian 914 and the 1987 Summer Yellow 911 Cabriolet to help pay for college; a decision that I regret to this day. Within six months, I was on the phone with the new owner of the Italian 914, a fellow who lived in Paradise, California. His wife bought the car as a present for him and he didn’t want to sell it back to me. For the next 6 years I would call or email him every few months to try and buy back my car. He finally granted me First Right of Refusal should he ever decide to sell the car. In fact, in the six years that he had owned the car he only put about 200 miles on the odometer. It was stored in a brick garage aging like a fine wine. Then tragedy struck. On November 8, 2018 the entire city of Paradise, Ca. was incinerated in a raging wildfire. Everything burnt to the ground including the garage that housed the precious Italian 914. If you have been following the market for exceptional, low mileage original 914s for the past few years you will note that they have been selling at auction for $80-100,000 or more. In my research and from discussions with the Italian 914 Club, there are maybe two dozen Italian 914s left in the world, and none with low mileage. Due to this extra layer of rarity the car would have earned a premium. It is truly tragic that we have lost such a special car.

AUTOCROSS UPDATE After our summer break, the GCR Autocross series resumed on Saturday September 12th at Sebring. This was event #3 in what we hope to be a 4-5 event series for 2020. As many of you know, the Covid-19 pandemic put a damper on our April and May events and we were unable to do those autocrosses as planned. Our first AX event under Covid -19 precautions provided a glimpse at what was to come with a slew of new safety protocols including ,but not limited to, signing COVID19(CDW) and PCA waivers on line thru club registration, requiring masks when social distancing could not be observed, elimination and or reduction of touch points, frequent sanitation of equipment, only 1 person in a car with no instructors and additional requirements for entry to the track and AutoX site as mandated by the track. This aspect of the event seemed to go as well as could be expected with great compliance and understanding from the drivers. While everyone was cooperative ,the hero of the day, in my opinion, was Marty Byrum, who volunteered all day to help when and where needed. Marty drives a 912E and hopes to get back autocrossing when his car is feeling a little better, but again a HUGE thanks to Marty who helped with set up, tear down and everything in between. The everything in between included things like chasing down the 2 pop-up tents that were blown away in storm force winds, rescuing the timing photo heads just as rains started and re-setting cones that were either blown down or floating away due to the bad weather conditions. Despite having to call a hard stop twice (including bringing in all the timing equipment) I did not hear any complaints. Everyone got 12 runs and we were packed up by 4:30, after a late start and two 30 minute rain/wind delays. Times are available on the GCR website.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY As many of you know, we have been struggling with locating new AX sites. Currently, due to Covid-19 and other reasons, the only site we have is Sebring for the club race AX and several other opportunities when our friends at Suncoast hold a DE and allow us to use the concrete strip where the race teams park during the major races. This is another call for help to members to assist us in locating a new AX site. Ideally this would be an airport runway or taxi way, big parking lot with no parking bumpers such as those in sports complexes/arenas, malls and some government facilities. If you know of such a place let us know...and please try to find contact information for the person responsible for making the decisions. Ideally, sites come about due to someone knowing someone....we need to get an “in” and build a relationship. Additionally, a site should be no more that 1.5 hour drive from the North Broward/South Palm Beach. area, and preferably less than an hour like the BBT location. Cost is also a factor, and we are not able to pay the types of fees paid by car manufacturers when they rent places like Gulf Stream park. Again if you know of a possible site and have that “in”, please give us a call with the details and contact info for the decision maker. We are also looking for someone with a truck or Van with a class 3 trailer hitch to, at some point in the future , tow the AX trailer to/from AX site and storage lot. Call me for more details....and finally assuming we get the AX site situation under control, we are looking for a couple/team to learn the ropes of putting on a GCR AX event. Dottie and I have been doing it for a generation, and were looking for some younger folks who share our passion for AX and the club, and at some point down the road, take over the AX program. .Save the date 2/6/2021....This will be the Club Race AutoX at Sebring, which usually attracts many of the best autocrossers who compete in a multi region challenge event....See you there....Steve

News, reminders and 2020 updates: Everyone is now required to pre-register and sign CDW and other waviers for any AutoX on Clubregistration.net… Please consult the GCR website and Kassette for all Autocross photos & results. Porsche classes are loosely based on the PCR’s for medium size regions, with minor regional adjustments. The major difference will be the addition of SN (stock car/novice driver) for men and ladies. These classes are strictly for newcomers only. Please see Steve for any car class questions or if you wish to run as a novice. We reserve the right to make additional class/rule changes as needed. Our 2020 series has been adjusted to be 4 or 5 events if possible, however due to COVID-19 it may be only 3. To be eligible for an end of the year award, competitors must run in over half the events in the same class. Each competitor’s top finishes will be calculated and an end of the year class champion and possibly runner-up (depending on class size) will be chosen. In case of a tie, additional events will be added until the tie is broken. Year-end class champion awards may be presented. Due to Covid-19, No passengers or instructors until further notice Questions…..call Steve or Dottie Kidd 954-946-3196 Please consult the GCR website and Kassette for all Autocross photos & results.

Third Annual Islamorada Drive & Lunch

Cynthia Fluhart, Social Chair January 18, 2020 was a glorious day that over 135 PCA Gold Coast members met in two locations: Ft Lauderdale and Miami, for what would be one of the last socials in 2020, just before the COVID-19. We decided to publish this to put a smile on everyone’s face and let you know that we are working on Fun events in 2021. We will hopefully have a few more 2020, socially distanced outdoor socials. The weather was fabulous and everyone was excited as more Porsches showed up for the drive south to Old Card Sound Road and onto The Overseas Highway to Islamorada Fish Company. It was the second year that I organized this event. We met up for an outdoor lunch overlooking the water and enjoying the fun group. Afterwards, some of us met up at Wahoo’s for a few drinks and live music before heading home. God willing, we will be doing the third annual Islamorada Drive & Lunch on January 16th. So stay tuned and we look Forward to more fun events! Thank you & stay safe!

Introducing the “Smurf” by Christy Spangler, photo of the month chair This month’s Photo of the Month was submitted by Bjoern Marek of Miami. I really liked the vintage theme of his 1974 Porsche 911 2.7 Targa in front of the Miami City Hall, formerly PanAm Airlines Terminal building built in 1934. Bjoern and his wife are from Germany and relocated to Miami in 2017. He has owned several cars since living here, but this one, that he has nicknamed “The Smurf” is his favorite. The color is a rare “Mexico Blue” verified by the PCA certificate of authenticity. It was also equipped with the sportomatic transmission by the original owner. “It’s a light and nimble and charming car that gets a lot of thumbs up when I drive it around Ocean Drive and other nice spots here in Miami or doing smaller drives with our friends here from the Gold Coast Region chapter.” Says Bjoren. Photo taken with the iPhone X.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo. I really appreciate it. Please keep the submission coming. How to submit a photo for consideration: Please include the following information: name phone number information about your car the title for the photo a short write up about the photo what kind of camera or smart phone you used to capture the image Email the above information with your high resolution image attached to gcr.potm@gmail.com Happy Shooting!

Calling All PCA Volunteers Paul Raben, Volunteer Co-chair The 48 Hours At Sebring Club race committee has begun making plans for the 2021 race. This year many changes are being made to conform to the COVID-19 guidelines. It is time for all Gold Coast and Suncoast members to start planning how they can get involved. It is your opportunity to give back to your region and be involved with the most successful Club Race in PCA and help raise money for region activities and The Ronald McDonald House charity. Start making plans and reservations to make it a weekend of fun and excitement. Where will you be? What will you be doing? What could you be doing that would possibly equal spending a weekend at world famous Sebring International Raceway with about 500 Porsches? Talk about a car show: this is the largest Porsche only racing event in the world – in fact, it is the largest single marque automobile racing event in the world! How could you miss it, especially when it is almost in your back yard! Last year’s 27th annual event was a great success: we had over 400 participating Porsches. Now, its the time to start planning on how you can assist in this great event. Make hotel reservations for the days you plan to attend. Pick from the available assignments listed below. This is a joint event consisting of friends from Gold Coast Region and Suncoast Region, the 27th edition will be

even bigger and better. The 48 Hours at Sebring has grown into the largest PCA Club Race in the country. We expect to sign up over 400 racers and Advanced Solo drivers in the first two days of registration. This means we will need volunteers to help us run this huge event more than ever. Why should you care? If you are a PCA member that has been standing on the sidelines, wanting to become involved, but unsure of actually attending your first event, this is a perfect opportunity to see what PCA is all about, and meet a group of really nice people! You will be asked to work for a few hours at a job that is actually more fun than work, you get a nice T-Shirt and other benefits that are currently being planned. You also just might meet someone who just won the Daytona 24 Hour race, or past winners of Daytona 24, Sebring 12 Hour or Le Mans 24 Hour, or maybe someone who has won them all. For sure you will not find a better gathering of Porsches and Porsche people anywhere. The Club race raises thousands of dollars for Ronald McDonald House each year and provides the Gold Coast and Suncoast regions funds to support Socials, Drivers Ed and AutoX programs and help local charities. Go to www.48hoursatsebring.com to join the support team.

HELP WANTED RONALD McDONALD HOUSE

Dan Smithyman, Co-Chairman 48Hours at Sebring

Over the past few decades the Gold Coast and Suncoast Regions of the Porsche club of America have had the honor of running the PCA Club Race known as The 48 Hours at Sebring. While over the years the event has grown to considerably more than 48 hours it has also grown in many other ways. The 48 Hours has always had a few things going for it. Starting with the most obvious perk, the track. The opportunity to drive your Porsche on the iconic Sebring International Raceway still brings chills to many of us even the most seasoned veteran. The event is always scheduled around the first weekend in February…in Florida. For those less fortunate individuals living in the frozen north this is nice too! Adding to the allure of the event is the quality of the activities both on and off the track. Drivers from all over the world know that, when they come to Sebring, they will be treated to some of the best racing of the year. The top amateur drivers and many pro drivers regularly attend. The off track events at Sebring have been some of the most exciting and well attended add ons at any event on the calendar year.

The Friday night Sponsor Showcase has produced some legendary cars and drivers putting on some entertaining and educational displays of the history of Porsche Racing.

As the Broker/Principal, I am proud of our strong track record of sales, representing both buyers and sellers, but most proud of our tradition of service before, during and after the sale.
